About: I grew up with many dogs at home and chose to pursue my love of animals by studying biology at Berkeley. I worked as a professional dog walker and sitter during all 4 years of college. I have cared for all sizes (Yorkie to Great Pyrenees) and all energy levels (old Greyhound to Golden Retriever puppy). I am currently in graduate school remotely, so I have tons of flexibility and I truly enjoy hanging out with pets during my day. We typically play outside together every few hours, walk around the park, go potty, and otherwise chill together indoors. I have all day to devote to taking care of your pet! The pets can have free reign of my living rooms and office. My home is an open floor plan so I can always see them even while I’m working at my computer.

Our dog, King, loves Jo. She even gets King to pose for photos. That’s something that we’ve never been good at. And we can see how happy King is in every photo. When my wife met Jo she was able to see how much King loved Jo. We are grateful that Jo can walk King while we are at work.

About: I provide dependable, attentive care and understand that every dog has different needs and routines. Having experience pet sitting for neighbors and caring for my own senior dog, I’m especially patient and comfortable with senior pets who may need a slower pace, extra attention, or more frequent potty breaks. I know how important it is for pet parents to feel their dogs are safe, comfortable, and cared for like family while they’re away. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or just calm companionship, I adapt to what makes them happiest. I’m able to easily incorporate pet care into my daily and weekly routine. I already structure my day around caring for my own dog, so I’m used to planning for walks and giving extra attention as needed. Because of that, adding additional walks or check-ins fits in smoothly. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment on every walk. I pay close attention to each dog’s behavior, energy level, and comfort, and I adjust the pace and route to fit their needs; it is especially important for senior dogs or those who may be more sensitive. I’m careful with leash handling, avoid unsafe or overly crowded areas, and stay alert to surroundings at all times.

About: Since I was born, I’ve owned dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, birds, and even taught them to speak to me! I come from a long line of animal lovers. I currently work remotely from home. My 22 year-old daughter lives with me at home 24/7 and is an animal whisperer. The dogs will always have walks and there is a park nearby. I have a fenced yard with chickens in a coop. I have three indoor loving cats, that think they are dogs and play fetch, who loved their bellies rubbed. I have a crate if your dog needs special care. I also have no problem, keeping the cats in a closed room away from any dogs with any special concerns.

About: Having a large extended family of dog lovers = an upbringing of dog-sitting 🧡 While I had the blessing and pleasure to be more experienced with small senior dogs, I look forward to attentively love and care for all dogs! As a CSUSM graduate student, theres no better way to take a break than to step out and walk my two dogs! Im ready to attend your dogs anytime, preferably before sundown! From customer service, lab tech work, to being a surgical scribe — im best known for my reliability, efficiency, and kindness. Dog walks will take place outside, around a neighborhood or local plaza if theres no park around. Absolutely amazing! She has greatly lessened my anxieties about leaving my baby boy while my husband and I go away on vacation! She understood my worries and put them to rest knowing she will treat my little Nacho man like the baby boy he is! She is even willing to have bonding sessions with Nacho bu me hiring her for ‘walks’ (Nacho doesn’t really like walks more like hanging out and treat time) before the vacation so Nacho has time to get comfortable with her! She even is experienced with birds and reptiles! I have so much comfort in knowing I have found her and don’t have to worry anymore! Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
