âAmanda is an absolute gem! Finding someone you trust to watch your little family members is always tricky. We're so grateful to have had Amanda make the process so easy and relaxing. She is very kind, communicative, and goes above and beyond. When we came home, our cats were relaxed and happy! Will be booking with Amanda in the future!! Thank you again for everything!!â

âShannon is an all around awesome person and care taker. She did a great job caring for our senior pup, Layla. We were comforted with messages keeping us up to date on how Layla was doing throughout. Shannon was professional, easy going and caring. Thanks again and look forward to next time.â

About: Since I was born, Iâve owned dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, birds, and even taught them to speak to me! I come from a long line of animal lovers. I currently work remotely from home. My 22 year-old daughter lives with me at home 24/7 and is an animal whisperer. The dogs will always have walks and there is a park nearby. I have a fenced yard with chickens in a coop. I have three indoor loving cats, that think they are dogs and play fetch, who loved their bellies rubbed. I have a crate if your dog needs special care. I also have no problem, keeping the cats in a closed room away from any dogs with any special concerns.
âBri was fabulous! She watched 5 dogs for us while my entire family attended my daughterâs wedding. She kept us updated on how each pup was doing, which was a constant relief, as we had so many other things going on that day. Very professional and dog friendly đśđđâ

âDenice took such great care of our fur babies while we were away. She kept me informed and sent me pictures which was appreciated. One of my dogs even made a mess in the house and she went out of her way to make sure it was clean and fresh when we got home. Our dogs seemed very content. I am so happy to have found a reliable pet sitter.â

âThere are no words to rate or describe how wonderful Alivia was with Owen (16 year old dog). She arrived ahead of scheduled time and left after time allotted. She watched and kept Owen company for 3 days 8-5. They went on Adventures everyday rather than just sitting in a hotel room. The pictures she took and sent were amazing. She took Owen to an awesome pet store, had picnic and showed him the sites of Fresno. He was smiling and happy. Alivia made a horrible visit to Fresno (had trial in court) a good one and didn't have the stress of worrying about Owen. I definitely highly recommend Alivia-5++++++ stars. Thank you for your love and compassion.â

âCaleb and Sara always give us peace of mind when we have a trip that we canât take Flint with us! We have used them several times and each time has been awesome. Thank you Caleb and Sara!â

âKairo is awesome!! We have a lot of anxiety leaving our dogs, especially since we work remote and theyâre used to having us home all the time. She gave us multiple daily updates and sent pictures. Our babies were well taken care of!â

âKenisha was a great caregiver for our pup and home! We had easy communication and she has such a lovely energy about her. We expect to have her back once we put some travel on the calendar!â

âAnthony was the best! He was incredibly communicative and responsive both before the stay and during. He took great care of our pups and sent photo updates regularly. Couldnât have asked for anyone better. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a sitter!â

About: Ever since I can remember our dogs and cats have always been apart of my family. From growing up, to having a family of my own, and my now adult children. I have been caring for my daughters 3 dogs and 2 cats for the last 7 years as she and her husband travel for work. Now that they are settled down and home more, I am missing a part of my life that I loved with starting pet sitting as a "job" that will be more of a passion. I am retired, so I am available for daily check ins to all day and overnight stays to keep your furbaby company while you are away. Keeping your furbaby at home is the best option to help reduce stress while you are gone and my favorite way to keep them company and maintain their normal routine in a familiar environment.

âEucalyptus was fantastic, she was so patient with everyone, took time to make sure all the dogs felt loved, kept up with all the routines, and made it the least stressful she could for everyone. Definitely will be using her services again.â

About: I've been caring for pets professionally for the last 10 years. I have experience with dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, birds, rodents of all kinds, and even invertebrates! I have professional training experience, so my personal specialty is caring for dogs who need an experienced handler. Puppies who are still potty training, shy & anxious dogs, overexcited greeters, separation anxiety, and even walking large dogs who pull, lunge, and bark are all a normal part of my everyday job. I also have hands-on experience administering medications and caring for senior pets or younger pets with special needs. I have a small stroller available for use on walks that is sanitized between pets. This can be a great option for puppies who haven't finished all their shots yet, older dogs who can't walk as well anymore, or even cats who just want to get out and smell the neighborhood! I'm working part-time, so my availability will be scheduled around my regular job. I'm more open on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays and usually have extra availability around holidays. I may be able to take bookings on short notice depending on the time - feel free to request me and I'll accommodate you if I can! Safety is always my number one priority. Properly securing entrances and exits, making sure leashes and other equipment are well-fitted and functioning correctly, and following any medical or behavioral notes are an important part of my job. My previous jobs have given me hands-on experience with spotting and handling emergency medical issues, so I am always prepared just in case. I know you want to make sure your pet is safe, happy and comfortable while you are away, so I also pay special attention to your pet's emotional health and do everything I can to minimize stress and anxiety. As a trainer, I understand the importance of maintaining the rules and boundaries you've worked so hard to set with your dogs, so I'm committed to following your current training plan while they are with me.
About: My name is Maya. I am 20 years old and have a very flexible schedule! I have 5+ years of animal experience, I have worked in the veterinary field, kennel environment, pet sitting and volunteered at rescues. I am also Pet CPR First Aid Certified and have my Veterinary Assistant certification! Currently pet sitting is my full time job and I have full availability. I do want to start schooling by the end of this year to be a veterinary technician! To ensure every pets safety I am always outside with your dogs and I like to make sure all pets are accounted for. I understand that not all pets are super friendly and have boundaries so I try not to approach pets until they feel safe with me.
âJade is amazing! She is warm, caring, knowledgeable, and was incredible with our very difficult cattle dog/husky puppy! She was very patient and took excellent care of Mika- she had no problem playing, walking, and cuddling at bedtime. We are so thankful we found Jade and canât wait to have her back in our home!â

ââââââ 5 Stars! We have only left our girl, Stella, with someone outside of our family a handful of times in her 12 years, so finding someone we could truly trust was incredibly important. Laura was absolutely amazing! She kept us updated throughout Stella's stay, which gave us so much peace of mind, and it was clear that Stella was well cared for and loved. Laura went above and beyond, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We are so grateful for the exceptional care she provided and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable to watch their pet. Thank you, Laura!â

âKiana is awesome! Our meet and greet told us a lot about her. She was sweet and you can tell she loved animals a lot and care about their well-being. She spent the night at our house while we were gone for three nights. She sent fun pictures of the animals which made us feel comfortable knowing she was there and taking care of them. The first night she stayed we had that earthquake, and she was there to comfort the animals. She's a trooper. She took care of our one dog, one cat and six tortoises. I will totally use her again and recommend her highly.â

We, for certain, would use his services in the future.

Laura has watched our house and pets a couple of times now and is nothing short of amazing. She's communicative, dilligent with medications and care instructions, and always leaves the house spotless. Her pricing is more than fair and most importantly our pets are comfortable and happy while we are away.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Murrieta walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Murrieta maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Murrieta choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
