About: My first experience with cats was an old TNR. She was a magnificent, orange girl who we named Momo, who hopped into my car one night and blossomed as she spent the rest of her golden years with us. No one could have asked for a more gentle and caring protector. With her, I learned about providing care for elderly pets and the challenges of dealing with terminal illness as she finally crossed the Rainbow Bridge. After Momo, my wife and I have dedicated ourselves to taking care of 4 rescues who were orphaned kittens with a challenging start at life. Now, they are four healthy adults (one of whom is slightly rotund for her size). From all these experiences, I've become proficient at kitten-care as well as elderly cat-care. I am comfortable with administering medications, both oral and topical, including supplements.

I am working part time and college part time with a flexible afternoon schedule. Mornings on Friday-Sundays are always great and give me lots of free time. About: My headline is probably my most asked question anywhere I go lol. My family has had a multitude of different pets over the years, so I actually know how to care for a lot of animals including an African bullfrog if you can believe that. I've also been house sitting/dog sitting for friends and family for years. I'm also really good with cautious dogs, I know how to make a dog who doesn't like strangers warm up to me. It might take a little while but eventually they love me. As far as walks go I love walks and who better to do it with than a dog? But I'm also conscientious of heat, where to walk on hot days so their paws don't burn and water for us to drink. I have a decent amount of control of my work time. So I am able to take breaks when needed to take animals for quick walks, playtime, and of course potty breaks. My goal is not to leave animals without these types of interactions for more than 5 hours at a time. Of course for special needs animals and puppies this can be appropriately adjusted. I strive to keep animals at ease by keeping their normal routine. So I often ask about what the animals normal day looks like and plan accordingly.

I will help your senior dog get around if they need a little extra help or with your puppy to gain confidence exploring a new area. I have 2 dogs. 1 Senior at 13+ years old and 1 younger at 5+ years old. They are taken care of first thing in the morning and last thing at night. 1 has many allergies that we care for each day. When helping out at a pets home I follow directions of the owner. If the pet is allowed in the yard I will stay with them while they are playing and or exploring. I recently lost my Great Dane after a decade of getting to love him. About: I have had animals, mainly dogs in my home for my entire life. I currently have one dog and two cats that I absolutely adore. I have both cat and dog sat before for other families. I just adore all animals. My schedule is completely open, I have my own business designing and making jewelry that I make my own hours for. “Heather did such a great job caring for our 2 fur babies while we were on vacation. When she came over to meet them she brought her hisband which I really appreciated b/c he was going to be present during their stay and I thought that was the best thing to do for the situation. They both reacted well during their visit and I knew right away she was perfect for the job. Heather has an obvious love for animals and made us feel very comfortable with leaving our babies w/ her for a week. She was very proactive with her communications and sent lots of pictures during our time away and very responsive to our communications. She took great care of our fur babies and they were in great condition upon pickup. I can't say enough about how pleased we were with our experience with Heather and will definitely use her every time we have to leave them behind. Five stars for sure!”
