About: Hello! My name is Lauren, and I’ve been caring for pets for most of my life. I have three cats and one friendly dog, and I understand the importance of giving pets the attention, love, and care they need. My husband and I both work from home, allowing for a flexible schedule to ensure your pets are never left alone for long. We also have a large, fenced-in yard that’s perfect for dogs to enjoy some safe outdoor time. I’ve volunteered at animal rescues and have experience fostering both cats and dogs. This has given me the opportunity to care for pets of all temperaments and needs. I also have experience with elderly pets and can administer medication if needed. I also have experience with puppies, having just gone through training my own dog. I treat every pet as if they were my own, and I would love to meet yours! Let me know how I can help care for your furry friends while you're away. I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I am able to take dogs on a walk several times a day, and play with them in the backyard. I am available for boarding in my home, dog walking, day care, or drop in visits. I love both cats and dogs and will devote the time and effort to make sure they feel safe and comfortable with me.
“Sarah was great! She took a last minute booking, fast communicator. Our pup had a great time with her and her doggies. Took on long walks. She helped reinforce tricks and helped him with leash manners and helped us with his jumping issues. Dug was out like a light when we brought him back home! Was wonderful and would book again. And appreciate the healthcare workers discount!”

“Melinda and her family took the best care of our girl. Riley came back happy and full of love. Melinda was a great communicator and made it a very easy and enjoyable experience. We are already looking forward to the next play date!”

“Chong was fantastic! Super responsive and acccomodating for my day-of dog watch inquiry for Ari after another sitter cancelled. She sent photos and updates throughout my 5 hour watch. Would definitely do it again with her!”

“Kasey was absolutely wonderful! She was able to watch my doggo a bit early due to a change in plans, which I'm super grateful for. I felt very comfortable leaving my doggo with her for sitting, and would definitely recommend her!”

“I’m so thankful Lori was able to accommodate a last minute daycare request. We had something else set up that fell through, and we found a GEM of a sitter/daycare location!! I got frequent updates and pics, which showed me how comfortable my pup was in Lori’s home. He had a great time playing with her dogs and the others at daycare, and she was gracious to give him some yummy treats, which he LOVED! 🍉 Maverick had such a good time he literally didn’t want to come home with me when I picked him up - soooo funny! I will def book Lori again, knowing how much she loved hosting Mav and constantly how much he loved being there ❤️”

“Thanks to Brandy and Lt Dan for taking such great care of my puppy Jo! It’s easy to see she had a wonderful day with you both and got lots of play time and love. We appreciate you both!”

“Shannon to the rescue and always takes good care of Sandy!! Would highly recommend Shannon for all your pet sitting needs. She’s caring and responds right away to any questions you may have.”

“I am so thankful we found Robert. I had a very unexpected situation happen and I needed to have my dogs in daycare for 2 days. My dogs regular sitter was out of town. On a moments notice, Robert, was able to fit us in. I was a littke apprehensive as he is a new to us and I have one very shy, reticent doggo. Robert was great and they warmed up to him in no time. And bonus, he sent me lots of pictures throughout the day and was fantastic about staying in communication with me. Robert is, hands down, the best sitter I have found on Rover. You can feel secure knowing your furry friend is in good hands.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
