“Danielle and Austin were GREAT! This was our first sitting with them for Jamo and he felt so comfortable already. It’s been awhile for outside sitting for our little guy because my dad usually watches him. But dad lives out a little farther so it was nice to find Danielle and Austin so close to us. They provided pic updates on Jamo’s day with the other dogs. Jamo was happy camper when we picked him up. You can tell he was given a lot of love from this very nice family. We’ll be back! Thanks again guys!”
“Bear was in great hands with Alexis while we visited Camp Pendleton beach from outta town. Unfortunately no dogs allowed there but at least he had his own special day rather than staying home alone. Thank you again. Recommend to all.”
“Shelly was amazing and sent lots of pictures and videos of what a good time Wally had with her pups and at her home. She made him feel welcome and he was happy all day! Thanks Shelly !”

About: Hello! I’ve had dogs my entire life and currently now we have a wonderful 50 lb Labradoodle. She is extremely sweet and caring and over the year. We’ve been welcoming more dogs into our home during the day. Thus, we’re creating a profile to keep up this positive momentum. We have a 20 foot partially shaded patio. As well as the inside of our home available for dogs to plan. Right now we’re only doing daytime appointments and we are careful to select dogs with the right temperament. We look forward to meeting you and your pup soon! We generally accept the dogs after our toddler goes to daycare. Which is around 9 AM. We then watch the dogs until around 5 PM. We currently do not offer a weekend or late nights, but may do so in the future, depending on how business goes. Currently my wife has a relaxed online job and is with the dogs all day. I myself often work from home and play with the dogs from 9 AM to 5 PM. We have plenty of toys and dogs can easily access inside and outside of the house to play outside when they want. We have fans and air-conditioning to keep them cool in the hot summer days.

As a dog owner and a parent, you know when your baby is in good hands and that’s exactly how I felt leaving Luna with Jacqueline. She kept us updated throughout the day with pictures and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. I truly felt at ease knowing Luna was being cared for and loved. I’m so thankful we found Jacqueline. She was the perfect sitter for Luna, and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her again. Highly recommend!

Malia was awesome with my dachshund Penny! Penny has a huge personality for such a tiny dog and can be a little dramatic sometimes, but she loved Malia right away which honestly never happens. I could tell Penny was getting lots of attention and love the whole time and Malia kept me updated so I didn’t have to worry at all. When I got back Penny was happy, relaxed, and acting like she had her own little vacation. I would definitely trust Malia to watch Penny again and I know Penny will be excited to see her again!

Carie took really great care of Wee. She has a fenced yard with grass which is really lovely. I like that she has her own little pup and also does doggy day care so Wee can socialize a little more. Carie was really flexible with my pick up schedule (my flight was incredibly delayed) and she made my life easier by being so amenable. Carie is a great sitter and I will certainly be back!

Rachel and Charles are the BEST! They always take such great care of our Boston Terrier, Rocket. They are so thoughtful and thorough and I know Rocket will be in great hands whenever he's with them, whether for overnight visits or doggy day care. They are wonderful at proactively sharing updates and photos and are pros in dealing with fur babies. I am a happy repeat customer!

Sara did an amazing job with my little guy☺️. She provided me with detailed information about his day, which I greatly appreciate. She was super sweet and I can tell that she really enjoyed caring for animals. I really am thankful that she was available to assist me. My little guy really enjoyed his day that after his day with Sara…he came home and went to sleep. He slept all night 🙂↔️. I highly recommend Sara. Your animal will have a great time. Thanks again for your help.

Lisa is fantastic with my two small dogs. One of them is nervous but felt right at home with Lisa and her dog. They became a pack instantly. Lisa sends pictures during the day so you can rest assured your furry family members are safe and sound. I will be relying on Lisa to care for my girls often. Thanks so much for keeping them safe and happy!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Camp Pendleton South commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
