About: I’ve spent my whole life caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds, from small mixed-breed dogs to Great Danes. For the past five years, I’ve also cared for my own cat, which has given me valuable experience with feline care and behavior. Since then, I’ve regularly looked after friends’ and clients’ cats as well. I’m attentive, reliable, and committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits easily into my routine, allowing me to provide reliable and consistent care. I’m available for drop-in visits, walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I do my best to accommodate different schedules and ensure each pet receives the attention and care they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow all care instructions carefully, maintain a clean and secure environment, and provide plenty of attention and affection. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I’ve cared for pets my entire life. I grew up with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, even that weird teenage phase where I decided to adopt a rat. I am patient and can read your pet’s cues. Last minute bookings are ok! I work from home full-time and make my own schedule. I am pretty much always available unless already booked. I work as a writer and make extra income doing what I love - taking care of animals. I am extremely mindful and tidy. Whether it’s a drop-in or overnight stay, you can trust me to keep your home clean, and your pet happy.

About: Hi! I’m Anna, I’ve been a total dog lover my entire life! For years, I’ve been the go-to person for family, friends, and neighbors whenever they need someone to watch their pups. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs, big and small, and I absolutely love getting to know their different personalities. I know your pup is a true member of your family, and I promise to treat them like part of mine—with tons of affection, playtime, and love! I work part-time from home for just two hours every morning, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to dedicate the rest of my day to taking care of your pets. Because I am home for the vast majority of the day, I can provide consistent attention, regular potty breaks, and plenty of playtime to ensure your pup feels right at home. Safety and happiness are my top priorities. We have a big, secure yard where dogs can run, play, and burn off energy in a safe environment. I believe in treating every guest like a member of the family, providing a comfortable indoor space for relaxation and constant supervision. In the event of an emergency, the closest 24/7 animal hospital is VEG (Veterinary Emergency Group) located at 2224 South El Camino Real. I am also BLS certified, ensuring I can stay calm and helpful in the event of any unexpected situation.

About: Hello! I am an active duty Marine currently stationed in SoCal! I'm very active and keep a strong pace, so your dog will get plenty of exercise and distance - no matter which walk length you choose. I have had experience with dogs my whole life, I grew up with a Yorkshire terrier and now I currently own a German shepherd mix and a Labrador-Great Pyrenees mix. During the week days, I am available after 5pm! On the weekends, I’m available all day! This applies for walks or drop in visits! I have a fenced in back yard with two other dogs who love playdates! I also have a crate in my home if your dog is crate trained.

About: Hi! I’m Abbey, an active-duty Marine officer and lifelong animal lover living in San Diego County. I currently care for three cats of my own and understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone else. I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and attentive to each pet’s unique personality and routine. Whether your pet needs energetic playtime, a calm companion, medication administration, or simply someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’ll treat them with the same care and respect I’d want for my own pets. You can expect regular updates, plenty of photos, and peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in caring hands. As an active-duty professional, my schedule can vary from week to week, but I keep my Rover calendar updated and communicate promptly about availability. I offer pet care during my off-duty hours, weekends, and approved leave periods. I am often available for early morning and evening visits during the week, with additional flexibility on weekends. When I commit to caring for your pet, you can count on me to be dependable, attentive, and fully present. I currently share my home with three cats and understand the importance of creating a calm, safe environment. I carefully follow each pet’s routine and take introductions and safety precautions seriously. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I provide attentive supervision, respect your instructions, and send regular updates so you’ll always know how your pet is doing.

About: I’ve always had a dog in my house, wether it be my own, or just one that happened to find their way in. I’ll always be the first to run over to my friends dogs and give them all the attention they need. in addition to this, I’m always the person they call if they need a pet sitter. I have a genuine love for all animals, but the most experience with dogs. I work a part time job for the summer and consider this my other job, but I’m pretty flexible and always willing to work something out so I can give your pet the time and attention they need! I always try to go above and beyond when making both pets and their owners comfortable whenever I’m in their space. I like to think I bring a playful and energetic excitement wherever I go when it comes to animals. I highly value and respect every pet owner’s right to care for their animals as they see fit, and will always do my best to accommodate the individual needs of each pet and their parent.
About: I have been taking care of fur babies for 8 years. Not counting the years of my doggies (16!). From house sitting, walking, feeding, and post surgery care I'm all in. I have beginner skills to train a dog and can be cautious and modify routines dependent of the environment (ie, kids present). I pour my heart in everything regarding the safety, health, and fun time of your babies. I'm currently working part-time which opens my availability! With advanced notice, I can work in creating a schedule that best fits your and your pets needs. I always make sure to pay a visit prior to any care. It is important to see how a dog or cat reacts to me so as to better take care of them. In the same visit, I can learn of behaviors or routines such as crate training or car behavior. My home is pet friendly, fenced all around. I want your pet to feel safe at all times!
“Emily is amazing!! She went out of her way before my trip to stop by and familiarize herself with feeding instructions and to also try to get my cats used to her. During my trip she kept me updated with their feedings and litter box usage and also sent pictures for each visit. She really went out of her way the whole time to make sure my cats were well taken care and and that I was comfortable leaving them in her hands. She is on time, professional, and a kind and caring person. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter.”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and absolutely love them (sometimes more than people haha). Breeders have trusted me to nurse their dogs and puppies back to health, and I have experience caring for both young puppies and senior dogs with special needs. Since my latest beloved dogs, Jacques and Jinger, passed on, I have found so much joy in welcoming other wonderful animals into our lives. We are a young couple living in the heart of Oceanside, CA, within a very pet friendly community. A dog beach and walkable city area are nearby in addition to trails and parks, and we enjoy exploring with our visiting pals. As a professional photographer, I also often enjoy taking and sharing free, high quality photos of our furry friends, in addition to the usual updates with phone snaps that I send during our time together. It is our general rule to only care for one family at a time, so your pet will have the exclusive attention and focus while in my care, ensuring they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for. Every dog is not just a dog but a member of the family. I understand every animal has their own personality and individual needs, and I would love to take care of, play, walk, and love on yours and hope to become their friend. I work mostly from home and love caring for dog friends on my available days. I only host pets from one family at a time to make sure each visitor receives the best care and attention during their stay with us. For walks or drop-in visits my schedule is quite flexible. If a pup is with me for the day we will likely do a good amount of walking and play, I'll ensure they are provided water and any other details for their care is followed, and we'll simply have a fabulous day together :) We live in a very dog-friendly community with walking trails, parks, the ocean, and a dog beach nearby that we love exploring with our visiting pals, (with owner permission of course). Also, an emergency pet hospital is just 5 minutes away if ever needed, though thankfully we have never had to use it.
“First time using the Rover App. We were worried how Mochi would do, but Sophia sent us pictures of him every time she went to visit him and he looked like a happy boy. She also gave us updates and kept in constant communication while we were gone. Sophia made us feel like Mochi was in very good hands so we will definitely be repeat customers. If you need someone to care for your fur family member, I highly recommend Sophia.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Camp Pendleton South
Book this young lady, she is so good! My cat, Buddy, is very wary of strangers, especially if I’m gone, but it took only a short time for Buddy to warm up to Samantha. She was so patient with him and did not push him to come out of his hiding spot until he was ready. He did not miss a meal because of that patience. Within a short time, he was being very loving with her, which made me happy. She is punctual communicative and extremely reliable. Book her!

Absolutely fantastic drop in sitter for my cat. 100% recommend & she will remain my #1 choice when I go out of town. Her professionalism was my first impression. When she came to my apartment to get the key and meet my cat, she brought a notebook to keep track of all the info she needed to remember. My cat also decided it would be "funny" to play a game of hide & seek in my house while I was away. Victoria genuinely cared enough to check everywhere (including with neighbors) & even changed her schedule to find her just in case my cat had become lost outdoors. She notified me quickly about the situation and was fully transparent about what had happened. (Thankfully, my girl eventually came out of hiding when her name was called!) There are not enough genuine and trustworthy people in the world whom you could trust with your beloved pet but Victoria certainly is one of them!

Chelsea was absolutely wonderful with Watson! She was attentive, thoughtful, and kept me updated so I never had to worry while I was away. It meant so much knowing he was in such loving and capable hands. I’m so grateful for her care and would recommend her a thousand times over. Thank you again!

Jordan has been doing a great job with Dexter. She's very reliable, always communicates clearly, and keeps me updated regularly. Dex is usually quite shy around new people, but he warmed up to her surprisingly quickly, which says a lot. I really appreciate the care and consistency she brings—it's been a big help.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
