“First time using the Rover App. We were worried how Mochi would do, but Sophia sent us pictures of him every time she went to visit him and he looked like a happy boy. She also gave us updates and kept in constant communication while we were gone. Sophia made us feel like Mochi was in very good hands so we will definitely be repeat customers. If you need someone to care for your fur family member, I highly recommend Sophia.”

About: I've been surrounded by dogs and cats my entire life and have over 31 years of hands-on experience caring for pets. I've raised puppies, cared for adult and senior dogs, and understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. I'm dependable, patient, and attentive, and I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with your beloved companion. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, companionship, or extra care, I'll treat them like they're part of my own family and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a very flexible schedule and can provide care throughout the day and evening. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship, and I'm also available for overnight house sitting in your home. I'll make sure your pets receive dependable, loving care and plenty of attention while you're away, keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. When caring for pets in my clients' homes, I do my best to keep their normal routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. I'll follow all feeding, walking, medication, and care instructions carefully, give them plenty of love, attention, playtime, and companionship, and make sure they have fresh water and a clean environment. I also respect my clients' homes, keeping everything clean, secure, and exactly as I found it.
“Zsana is awesome! She was easy to communicate with, and she took such good care of my old pup on a last minute trip. I plan to book with her regularly and would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I’ve cared for pets my entire life. I grew up with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, even that weird teenage phase where I decided to adopt a rat. I am patient and can read your pet’s cues. Last minute bookings are ok! I work from home full-time and make my own schedule. I am pretty much always available unless already booked. I work as a writer and make extra income doing what I love - taking care of animals. I am extremely mindful and tidy. Whether it’s a drop-in or overnight stay, you can trust me to keep your home clean, and your pet happy.
About: I'll treat your pets like my own! I have experience with small to med/large dogs, and would love to meet yours. I also have experience with reactivity, so if your pup is a little salty on the leash, they'll be in good hands. I currently work part time and have plenty of time to walk, play, and give plenty of scritches. Whether your senior dog needs some slow paced fresh air, or your energetic puppy needs some serious enrichment, I'm available and flexible to fit your schedule. I've been around dogs my whole life, and have a Red Heeler mix of my own, and will care for your pets like I would my own dog. Responsibility and safety in your home and on walks are my top priority. P.S. I won't be bringing my pup on our walks, so your dog will get my full attention!

“Crystal is amazing and took better photos of our cats than we've ever pulled off ourselves. Had every confidence they were in good hands and she exceeded our expectations in every area. If you're reading this because you are considering a number of options: Please do yourselves a favor and stop looking after this review. Just book Crystal.”

About: I grew up around animals and have always been comfortable caring for both dogs and cats! In college, I ran a pet-sitting business, gaining hands-on experience with walks, feeding routines, playtime, litter care, and making sure pets felt safe and comfortable while their owners were away. I am calm and attentive and have the ability to adapt to different pet personalities and needs, whether energetic puppies or more relaxed, routine-oriented pets. I focus on building trust with animals so they feel secure and cared for, not just watched. I look forward to meeting your furry friend! As a full-time teacher, I have a structured daily routine during the school year, which allows me to plan pet care responsibilities around mornings, evenings, and weekends. I’m consistent and organized with my time, so I’m able to reliably provide care before and after work, as well as give pets focused attention during my free time. During the summer when I’m off, I have even more flexibility and availability for longer stays or more frequent care. Overall, I’m used to balancing responsibility and routines, which translates well into providing dependable and attentive pet care. I care for pets by keeping their routines as consistent and comfortable as possible in their own home or mine. I follow the owner’s instructions closely for feeding, walks, playtime, medication, and any special needs, and I make sure pets get plenty of attention, affection, and supervision throughout the day. I’m very mindful of each animal’s personality—some need extra activity and stimulation, while others prefer a calm, quiet environment. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for so their owners can have peace of mind while they’re away.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Camp Pendleton South
Megan is absolutely wonderful. We know our kitty, Scoops, is always in good hands and well taken care of when we go out of town. It makes traveling so much easier knowing we have someone like Megan checking on him. Thank you for the wonderful care and peace of mind you provide. We appreciate you!!

Book this young lady, she is so good! My cat, Buddy, is very wary of strangers, especially if I’m gone, but it took only a short time for Buddy to warm up to Samantha. She was so patient with him and did not push him to come out of his hiding spot until he was ready. He did not miss a meal because of that patience. Within a short time, he was being very loving with her, which made me happy. She is punctual communicative and extremely reliable. Book her!

Absolutely fantastic drop in sitter for my cat. 100% recommend & she will remain my #1 choice when I go out of town. Her professionalism was my first impression. When she came to my apartment to get the key and meet my cat, she brought a notebook to keep track of all the info she needed to remember. My cat also decided it would be "funny" to play a game of hide & seek in my house while I was away. Victoria genuinely cared enough to check everywhere (including with neighbors) & even changed her schedule to find her just in case my cat had become lost outdoors. She notified me quickly about the situation and was fully transparent about what had happened. (Thankfully, my girl eventually came out of hiding when her name was called!) There are not enough genuine and trustworthy people in the world whom you could trust with your beloved pet but Victoria certainly is one of them!

Chelsea was absolutely wonderful with Watson! She was attentive, thoughtful, and kept me updated so I never had to worry while I was away. It meant so much knowing he was in such loving and capable hands. I’m so grateful for her care and would recommend her a thousand times over. Thank you again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
