“We have had Jewels twice now as drop-in sitter for our Bella (cat) and both times Jewels has cared for Bella perfectly. The food, water and litter is handled with care and excellent hygiene. Bella is so picky with sitters and has popped out to interact with Jewels a few times. We see that as a super positive sign that Jewels has a kind energy. Cats don't hide their feelings so if Bella likes Jewels, she is a winner in our book. Highly recommend.”

About: I’m a biologist and animal lover with over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I had my first dog at age 7, adopted a reactive dog in my twenties, and currently share my life with an 8-year-old dog—so I truly understand how different every animal can be. For the past 3 years, I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family, caring for senior dogs, reactive dogs, and everything in between. Because I work remotely and do this full-time, I’m home most of the day and able to offer consistent attention without leaving your pet alone for long periods of time. I adjust my energy to match each dog—happy to be playful with energetic pups, or slow and gentle with seniors and sensitive dogs. When house sitting, I keep routines as consistent as possible, so pets feel safe and secure. I also have experience caring for cats and small animals. I enjoy using enrichment toys and puzzles with my dog as I have seen how helpful mental enrichment can be for keeping dogs calm and happy, so I’m comfortable using these tools. With my background in biology, I pay close attention to body language and stress signals and always approach pets with patience, care, and respect. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. If you give me the opportunity, I’ll do my best to make sure your pup feels safe, understood, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Vanessa takes amazing care of our two cats. She is great at communicating to us and we love leaving them in her care because we don’t have to worry when we’re gone. We will definitely have Vanessa watch them again.”

“Once again Mark really came through for us, extending our booking for my mother-in-law's cat and finally getting to meet her at the end! He took fantastic care of Uno and even cleaned up a bit without us asking him to. We already have a sitting booked for Christmas!”

“Lindsay is great! She was very communicative and asked clarifying questions when needed, sent over lots of pictures and our cats were comfortable with her right away. Recommend!”

“Thanks so much for taking care of Mittens! I reached out to Olya pretty last minute for a drop in visit, thankfully she was available! She kept me updated, took lots of photos, and was super friendly.”

About: Before I joined the Air Force, I used to volunteer at a doggy day care and I loved all of the different personalities I encountered. I am very flexible with the many personalities of animals and all energy levels. I will accommodate any dog that is scared of other dogs, super shy, or any dogs with special needs. One interested story I have from my doggy daycare days was a beautiful doberman I met named Cicero and he was large and in charge but only appearance wise. When it was time to go outside for walks or potty he needed to be the only dog going out. He was scared of other dogs as big as he was, even a chihuahua was too scary because he would shake behind my legs. I miss him very much and I hope he found some courage in himself. I am currently a student at MiraCosta College pursing an A.S in Biomanufacturing and I have educational goals of transferring into UCLA or UCSD for bioengineering or nanoengineering as my second choice. I do a lot of studying and I love getting to have balance through spending time with dogs or cats. It's always a good thing to be in good company. I look forward to meeting your playful, hyper or mellow dogs! My landlord has two beautiful Vislas that are super sweet and love hiking. They love getting pets and treats and my mother also has a German Shepherd named Summer and she loves going on walks and barking at small animals like ducks and squirrels. She doesn't like other dogs, so I know where exactly to walk her and when encountering other dogs I know how to maneuver her so she doesn't get agitated.

“This was my first time using rover, I was nervous and have a lot of anxiety about leaving my cats when I booked my cruise. I could not be happier with the experience with Shelby. She was so kind, compassionate and communicative. I looked forward to her updates/ photos on vacation and gave me so much piece of mind. I truley know my kitties were in the most loving hands and I would recommend her 100% to anyone who wants top notch animal care. Thank you Shelby ❤️”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love, not just a job to me. I’m the kind of person who will happily stop to pet every dog on a walk, remember each pet’s little quirks, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and anxious, or older and needing extra patience, I adapt to their personality and routine so they feel as stress-free as possible. I’m reliable, attentive, and big on communication, so you can expect regular updates, photos, and honest check-ins while your pet is in my care. My goal is always to make pets feel like they’re with a trusted friend, not just a sitter. From long walks and playtime to cuddles on the couch and sticking to feeding or medication schedules, I truly put care and love into every visit. I am looking to fill my summer as much as possible while I am back from school, so I have an extremely open availability for all kinds of care needed! I provide care in my client’s home so pets can stay comfortable in the environment they know best and keep their normal routine. I make sure each pet gets plenty of attention, affection, exercise, playtime, and consistent care based on their individual needs and personality. I also prioritize safety by carefully following feeding instructions, medication schedules, walking guidelines, and any house or pet routines provided by the owner. This especially goes for nighttime vigilance to protect your pets from wildlife. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pet, so I always aim to communicate clearly, provide regular updates and photos, and make sure both pets and owners feel comfortable and at ease.

About: I've had pets my whole life and I love ALL animals. I think it all started when my parents adopted a kitten when I was six and I would dress up the kitty in doll clothes and take her everywhere she was allowed to go! I always considered myself a cat-person, but when my mom brought home a puppy from a coworker many years ago, I took care of him like he was my own and sure enough he became my dog! I currently own one dog, two cats and a leopard gecko and they certainly make life more interesting with their individual personalities. My family has always called me the "animal-lover" because I'm the one who would frequently bring home animals that needed to be re-homed. I could never say no to anyone who asked if I could take in an animal, and if I couldn't keep them, then I would try to find someone else who could. I have much experience walking friend's, relative's, and coworker's dogs when they were on vacation. My most recent experience, for the past few years, has been dog-sitting a coworker's massive-sized Goldendoodle when he leaves town for Thanksgiving and other holidays. I give him food and water, take him out for long walks around his area and provide exercise at the park playing fetch and running around. I also fostered a sweet senior Pomeranian for a lady who was in the hospital a couple years ago and I've walked and dog-sat for many friend's over the years. People always ask me for petcare needs because they know I love animals, they trust me, and I don't have kids so they know I'm usually available. These were all good experiences that enriched my life and helped me know how to handle different pet situations. It makes me feel good knowing that I am helping either a dog get outside to relieve itself and feel the warmth of the sun or spend quality time with a cat while its person is away. I'm currently working part-time on a random schedule so I have plenty of availability to take dogs out for walks, check in on them for potty breaks, and provide stimulation and exercise. I live in a townhouse with a small backyard and a really high fence that is very secure for pets. I have a few different sized kennels to crate dogs who are most comfortable this way. There is plenty of room for pets to stay and pet gates throughout the house when needed to fence off certain areas or separate pets if needed.
“Dana came to meet me and my 4 dogs. I went out for an evening and had her stay for a few hours so my dogs could get to know her to prepare for an out of town trip. She was on time, communicated, and followed instructions. I will definitely rebook with her again.”

Brittney is an amazing cat sitter for my older kitty! She did everything I ask her and more! When ants invaded Cuties dry food she went out and bought more for her!I She also gave Cutie lots of attention with playing and brushing her! I will definitely use her service again.

Alex was an amazing pet sitter -- we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She took such great care of our cat and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We really appreciated that she scheduled a meet-and-greet beforehand so we could get to know her, which made us feel even more comfortable leaving our pet in her care. She was always easy to communicate with, super responsive, and very professional throughout the entire process. It’s clear she genuinely cares about animals and goes above and beyond -- even giving us updates on our fish as a thoughtful bonus! We would absolutely recommend Alex to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again!

This was my first time using rover, I was nervous and have a lot of anxiety about leaving my cats when I booked my cruise. Thank you Shelby ❤️

Kat is super friendly, and it is immediately obvious that she is an animal lover! Our pets warmed up to her right away due to her loving, calm nature. She asked a lot of appropriate questions, and is very responsible. Great communicator as well! We look forward to having her again!

Olya was absolutely wonderful with our two cats while we were away for Spring Break! We were a bit stressed because one of our cats got sick just a few days before our trip and required oral medication. Olya stepped right in without hesitation and handled the medicine administration with total ease. It was such a relief to know our cat was in capable and confident hands. She is reliable, communicative, and clearly a natural with animals. We returned home to two very happy, well-cared-for cats. We highly recommend Olya to anyone looking for a trustworthy and skilled sitter!

This was the 1st time leaving my kitts for days. Jenny was a perfect fit😅 She met them before pet sitting & was very reassuring to me. My Kitts walked right up to her💛 Jenny is a great communicator & has excellent photography skills! I’ll definitely be reaching out to her again!!!

Jill was everything I could ask for in a sitter! She took great care of my two indoor cats over the holidays. She cleaned the litter box, kept the house clean of litter, fed according to instructions and played with them on every visit. I especially appreciated the photos she attached with every visit.

We loved Helena! She took very good care of our two cats, Tofu and Miso. She gave us updates and sent pictures daily. The first time we met Helena, I was so impressed with her kindness and willingness to know about our cats by asking questions. Highly recommend Helena.

Emma, is the best, I was nervous, thinking my cat would have several issues with me being gone, but it was quite the opposite. He loved them and I believe he misses her. The updates were awesome. I felt so comfortable on my trip knowing that my Kat Phoenix was in great hands. I could tell by the pictures she sent every day. I will always use this site but especially Emma every time I’m out of town.
