About: I’ve taken care of dogs of many different breeds for the last 8-10 years. I love dogs and currently have one 8 month old shepherd rescue that I have been (mostly) independently training at home as well as 2 cats- one whom is 6 years that I adopted when she was only 8 weeks and another that was a stray that my husband & I took in. All our animals are very loved and having them be a part of our lives has been our favorite adventure together 🥰 I am working at a school this year & going back around mid August but during this summer I will be available to check in/walk your dogs throughout the week because I know a busy workday can be stressful when you have your pets at home that would love attention & fun. Whatever your scheduling need is, I would love to discuss how I can be that best fit for you & your fur babies! Since I already have my dog to walk 2-3 times a day, I would love to be able to bring your dog along with us! My trailer park has a private park and is along an easy accessible trail so I can definitely bring your dog here or wherever you prefer we go! I am close by San Marcos and have taken my dog to Bradley Park and Discovery Lake so we would love to bring your fur babies along too!

About: Hello everyone. My name is Morgan. I am a former veterinary assistant with 10 years experience in the medical field. My dog passed away recently, so I’m looking to get back into working with animals in a more relaxed way. I am more than happy to do housesitting/pet sitting and daily dog walks or just coming to keep your cat some company at home while you’re at work if you don’t want them to be alone. I work part time so I will have plenty of time to spend with your babies. I’m looking to establish a strongly base and make Rover full-time :) I would like to get into housesitting/pet sitting and dog walking. I also would like to get into cat care whether that is babysitting while you’re on vacation or if you just want them to have some company while you’re at work.
About: I have experienced pet sitting for a year and a half now. I am very reliable. I have watched puppies from 5 month old to very senior dogs. I have done oral medicine and making sure everything is followed I am working weekends only with kids, I am still reliable and open availability during the week. I am able to still make sure that your pet is cared for I am very trust worthy, I have worked with a couple of repeat clients, I’m only worried about making sure that your pet is satisfied with exercise and comfort while owners are away.
“Angela did a great job with my cat! She came to check on him when I was out of town, she was right on time, followed all my care instructions perfectly, played with him, gave me updates, and sent me pictures. I would definitely rebook!”

I work from home, and take my two small dogs on two daily walks. Play sessions occur nightly, and occasionally they tag along when we are away from home for more than a few hours. We welcome additional pets to join us! I have a fenced yard, and always monitor any animals in my care, including my two small, friendly dogs, while they are using it. All meal times are monitored, and pets are fed in separate rooms to ensure everyone's safety. While your pet stays with us, I will have their bed/crate/food bowls set up in my home office, so they can have their own space while they are adjusting to our home. They will always have access to the main living area, where there are several dog beds, toys, and water. Our home does have stairs, which can be restricted if your pet has trouble navigating them.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my entire life, sometimes having as many as five pets at once, so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I’ve also been house and pet sitting for neighbors and family friends since high school, giving me years of experience caring for pets in their homes and keeping up with their routines while their owners are away. In high school and college, I also volunteered at animal shelters and dog rescues, where I cared for dogs with a variety of personalities and needs. These experiences have taught me to be patient, attentive, and comfortable adapting to each pet’s individual routine. I truly love animals and will treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would my own. I’m happy to provide plenty of walks, playtime, cuddles, and attention, while also making sure your pet feels comfortable and secure. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I’m currently completing a full-time online Master’s program in Nutrition, which gives me a very flexible schedule. Since my classes and coursework are online, I’m able to work pet care into my daily routine and have plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight house sitting. I’m able to plan my schedule around your pet’s needs and am happy to accommodate their normal feeding, walking, playtime, and bedtime routines. I especially enjoy house sitting because I can give pets plenty of companionship and attention while their owners are away. My priority is always making sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own environment. When house sitting, I’m respectful of your home and will treat it as if it were my own. I’m careful to follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, walking routines, house rules, and any other details that help your pets feel comfortable. I’m attentive to doors, gates, leashes, and other safety details, and I never want to take unnecessary risks with your pets. I’ll also make sure your home is kept clean and secure while you’re away. I understand that leaving your pets with someone is a big responsibility, so communication is very important to me. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout your time away and will always reach out if I have a question or notice anything unusual with your pet.
“Michael was great with my dog with some playtime and walk time with my dog and he seemed to be happy kept me up-to-date and gave my dog a nice review. Recommend Michael. Will use in the future.”

“Jessica was great!! She always provided detailed check ins at every visit, complete with multiple pictures of my cat. This made me feel so much more at ease leaving my cat home for a few days. Absolutely would book again!”

About: I've lived with dogs my whole life growing up around multiple and even aiding in the birth of a 12 puppy litter into my own family. Which some of those puppies have stayed with us ever since. As well as caring for older dogs as they get into their later years and pass on. I love all kinds of pets either way, from giant wolf dogs my grandfather used to have- to our very own English and French bulldogs that need just as much care as they give in love! I have not has as much experience with cats, but I'm always willing to spend some time with them. Any pet is like part of the family, and they always deserve that love! I currently have a part time job with a changing schedule- however if I am booked at least 2 weeks in advance, I can make sure that I have certain days and times available. A heads up is all I need! I care for pets in others homes just as they would. It can be a big sign of trust to let someone into your home with a pet, and my intention is to leave the way I came in, with the only change being a happy pet!

Pets have always been a constant throughout my life, and I've had my own 90lb German Shepard mix for almost 14 years. I'm very comfortable with all ages, quirks, special needs, mobility needs etc. I'm reliable, communicative, I'll keep you as updated as you want to be, follow your routine closely and care for your pet with the same love I care for mine I work from home most days of the week, have a very flexible schedule and can almost always work around whatever is needed for your pet Your pet's safety and personality always come first. Catering to whatever their needs are, I always pay close attention on walks, I'm well vetted with dogs and cats who might be escape artists, and I'm very comfortable with sticking to whatever routine you have for them

About: I’ve always been the go-to person for caring for pets among family and friends, and I truly love the comfort and joy animals bring. I’m a calm and dependable caregiver — whether it’s long walks, cozy cuddle time, or just being a steady presence when their people are away. Pets feel safe with me because I meet them with patience, gentleness, and respect for their routines. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, and I love creating a space where they feel cared for like family. What sets me apart is my nurturing energy and reliability — I’ll always show up with my whole heart and make sure you have peace of mind knowing your pet is loved and supported. Pet care easily fits into my weekly routine! I’m very flexible and I have plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care. I make sure my schedule revolves around giving consistent, loving care, and I’m committed to showing up reliably for both you and your pets. I care for pets with the same attention and love I’d give my own. In your home, I make sure to follow your routines and instructions exactly so your pet feels comfortable and secure. I keep their environment safe — double-checking doors, gates, and leashes, and always being mindful of their needs and comfort level. I believe trust is built through consistency and respect: respecting your home by leaving it just as I found it, and respecting your pet’s personality by meeting them where they’re at — whether that’s extra playtime, gentle cuddles, or quiet companionship. My goal is always to create a calm, safe, and loving environment where your pet feels cared for, and you can have total peace of mind while you’re away.
“We have had Jewels twice now as drop-in sitter for our Bella (cat) and both times Jewels has cared for Bella perfectly. The food, water and litter is handled with care and excellent hygiene. Bella is so picky with sitters and has popped out to interact with Jewels a few times. We see that as a super positive sign that Jewels has a kind energy. Cats don't hide their feelings so if Bella likes Jewels, she is a winner in our book. Highly recommend.”

About: I began my pet care career as a groomer for three years, giving me a wealth of experience in handling, care, cleanliness, and professionalism. During that time became certified in first aid, bathing/ brushing, and other professional courses. I have since worked for several regular clients weekly, and continue to study dog behavior and training. I am a full time pet care professional and dog walker. I am prepared to work all week and even weekends and holidays to suit your needs. I strive to treat your pets as my own. Whatever you need, I will follow as advised, while keeping your home clean and tidy. I love paying attention to and learning about the unique needs of every animal I work with. You can rest easy knowing that I am insured.
About: Hi, I'm an animal-lover who works from home, which means your pet gets plenty of attention throughout the day. I have over 25 years of experience caring for animals and believe dogs especially thrive with regular exercise and playtime. My own dog, Kiwi (a 5-year-old wonder-mutt), often joins us, but I'm happy to come solo if your pup prefers one-on-one time. Whether it's a dog or cat, I'll make sure they're comfortable, active, and well cared for while you're away. I work from home M-Th from 9-4 and am off F-Sun. I wake up early for a walk before work. Mid-day breaks and walks are necessary for both me and the pup! I always end the day with post-work walk, whether in the afternoon or in the early evening if it's too hot outside. When I'm caring for a client's pet, I follow their routine closely: same feeding schedule, same walk times, same house rules, so there's as little disruption as possible. I make sure dogs get the exercise and engagement they need to stay happy, and for cats, I focus on comfort, consistency, and quiet companionship.

Alex was an amazing pet sitter -- we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She took such great care of our cat and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We really appreciated that she scheduled a meet-and-greet beforehand so we could get to know her, which made us feel even more comfortable leaving our pet in her care. She was always easy to communicate with, super responsive, and very professional throughout the entire process. It’s clear she genuinely cares about animals and goes above and beyond -- even giving us updates on our fish as a thoughtful bonus! We would absolutely recommend Alex to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
