“Donna was very attentive to our dogs and cat, and sent a lot of updates and photos. One of our dogs takes a lot to warm up to people and he warmed to her right away. Our finicky and shy cat also welcomed her visits and was very affectionate with her. She also gave them medication whenever they needed it.”

“Shelby was an absolutely wonderful cat sitter for my cat, Miki! From the moment we connected, she was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. She made sure Miki was comfortable, well-fed, and loved while I was away, and I could tell Miki felt safe and happy with her. Shelby sent thoughtful updates and gave me total peace of mind. I would 100% trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, dependable pet sitter.”

About: Hi! I’ve been around animals my whole life—growing up with both cats and dogs taught me early how to care for pets with love and patience. Over the years, I’ve been the go-to sitter for my friends whenever they go out of town, whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, or just making sure their pets feel comfortable and cared for. I understand that every pet has its own personality and needs, and I always do my best to match their energy and routines. Whether your furry friend is energetic and playful or more laid-back and shy, I’ve got them covered! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits. I’m available for regular walks, drop-ins, or extended care depending on your pet’s needs. I keep my availability up to date and do my best to be reliable and consistent, so you can count on me to stick to your pet’s routine. I’m also happy to coordinate a schedule that works best for you. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with respect and follow all instructions closely—from feeding routines and walk preferences to any special needs or behaviors. I take extra care to ensure doors, gates, and crates are always secure, and I never leave pets unattended longer than agreed. I stay attentive during walks and in the home to keep your pet safe at all times. You can expect clear communication and regular updates, so you always know how your pet is doing and can feel confident they’re in good hands.
“Emily was so wonderful during her drop in visits with our sweet Luna girl! Luna loved her and Emily is a natural with animals. She provides excellent updates and is very thorough and thoughtful! Highly recommend her!”

“Jessica took on the challenge of my very attached fur baby checkins. Not an easy thing for all three of us…new home new routine for my fur baby. Jessica tuned in on Josie’s needs during her check-ins and provided helpful suggestions for me. Highly recommend Jessica, a very caring fur baby caregiver. ❤️”

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of breeds both cats and dogs. I used to do Wag where i walked dogs, i’ve done over night stays, drop ins, you name it! I work from home so have full availability M-F as well as the weekends! I can come to your house at any time and provide proper care at any hour of the day. I care for pets as if they are my own. About: I've lived with and cared for all manner of animals for the better part of 30 years now. I also previously worked at a dog boarding facility. I currently have two German shorthair pointers, Wade and Aurora as well as a cat, Bastilla. As a pet owner, I build my entire routine around my pets and their needs. More often than not if I'm leaving the house to run an errand it is somehow pet related. When it comes to pet care in someone else's home the main thing for me is respect. Both in regards to the physical boundaries they set as well as their preferences in regards to pet care. Some pets are allowed on the furniture, or they have a very specific routine or schedule they follow. At the end of the day, I consider myself to be an extremely flexible and accommodating person in regards to caring for others' pets.
“This was our second time having Marie care for our two cats. She is very responsible and always gives feedback and pics on her visits. She follows instructions on feeding and supplements which is important to me.”

About: I have taken care of dogs pretty much my entire life! I grew up with 2 dogs - a husky and a springer spaniel. I now own my own pup named Ziggy! He’s a golden retriever and the love of my life. I love all pets and can’t wait to meet yours! I am currently between jobs, I usually work as an RN so I have plenty of time to care for your animals whether it’s a drop in, walk, or pet sit in your home or mine. I will never leave a pet alone for long periods of time. Having my own dogs I am aware of the attention, love, and excercise they require!
About: I have cared for animals since I was 5, whether that was a family pet or a stray. I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments as I have previous experience in a boarding/veterinary facility. Additionally, I have fostered puppies and older dogs with many different medical and training needs. I also have over 10 years of experience with horses and caring for animals of that nature. Currently I am a student at Mira Costa College, however, I am majority online so my schedule is very flexible for playtimes and walks with your pet! Keeping up with a pet’s routine and safety are my number 1 goals. I am unable to have others’ pets in my home, but I intend to respect others’ homes and values when caring for their pets.
“Crista was great! Quickly responded to my request and had a nice meet and greet. Sent updates and pictures of our cat while we were away, collected our mail and cleaned up food dishes. Very happy we found her!”

About: I used to be an avid babysitter around my hometown, but after the children outgrew my services, I shifted to watching animals for families rather than their children. I have watched all types of animals from cats and dogs, to turtles and birds! I am used to challenging/misbehaving dogs as well as strong, pulling dogs. No worries, I can handle it all! Excited to meet some new animals and families. I am a Pilates and Yoga instructor as well as a Waitress and student. My schedule is flexible as the hours of my classes vary and my waitress work is for a short stint of time at night. I can easily crate your dogs if needed, or cuddle them at night. I make sure to keep an eye on them to avoid any possible mishaps and make sure to read into their body language on rocks. Being aware of my walking paths & hours has made my walks successful and easy.
About: I have worked in a number of rescue facilities as well as loved 2 rescue dogs and a number of rescue cats myself. I am also currently an online teacher so I am available for whatever hours needed throughout days or evenings. My schedule is super adaptable for your needs and I am very communicative throughout the entire experience. I currently work online so I can be anywhere at any time for meeting pet care needs. I am hoping to fill my schedule and help out as much as possible. I offer in client's home care for pets by scheduling one day prior typically and arriving early to get set up or shown the routines. Care will vary based on what client's specific needs are, but I like to communicate, and operate above and beyond what client's expectations are. I know how I would want my furry kiddos treated so I won't treat yours with any less love or care.
About: I have 7+ years of experience caring for my own pets and those of friends and family. I focus on safety, comfort, and positive reinforcement, and I naturally incorporate dog training skills to help pets feel calm, confident, and well cared for. I work from home three days a week (Wednesday–Friday), which gives me a flexible schedule for pet care on those days. It’s also a great excuse for me to get outside and enjoy some sunshine during the workday. I’m available for evening drop in care as well, up until 9pm. I care for pets in my home and/or my client’s home as if they were my own. I prioritize safety, comfort, and consistency by maintaining a calm, secure environment and following each pet’s routine and care instructions closely. I’m attentive to individual needs, including pets who may be anxious or require extra patience, and always aim to make them feel safe, loved, and at ease.
About: Intuitive dog caretaker. Your pup's needs are my number one priority. I adapt to your fur baby's needs. When they want a long walk, I'm their guide. When they want extra belly rubs, I've got lots of love to give. I understand how tough it can be to trust someone with your dog. The good news is that dogs recognize "dog people." I'll make your dog feel comfortable and ensure every need is met. I'm a freelancer and work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I can accommodate almost any schedule, and I'm usually available at a moment's notice if needed. For pet sitting, I offer services in the client's home. I feel like this is the best arrangement for the pup. They get to stay in their familiar environment, and they know they're at home. Maybe it's irrational, but I worry about how a dog will feel when they're left at someone else's house, especially if it's not something they're used to. When I stay at a client's home, the client can feel confident that their home and pet will be treated with the utmost care. I respect property and take care of any pet as if they were my own. I sympathize with the stress an animal may feel when their pack is somewhere else, so I do everything possible to ensure the pet is happy in your absence.

Cardiff-by-the-Sea cat parents share their Rover experiences
Emily was a very attentive and responsive cat sitter, especially considering our request was very last minute. She really went the extra mile checking to make sure her automatic litter box cleaner was functioning correctly and when she noticed it wasn’t working with me to help troubleshoot it. Would recommend anyone looking for reliable pet care!
Nycole was fantastic. One of the best pet sitters we've had. Our cats are friendly, but can be somewhat reserved to strangers. They took to Nycole immediately, even letting her hold them. Nycole was responsible, timely, and professional. She spent a good deal of time playing & entertaining the cats during her visits. Nycole asked if we needed any small extra efforts, such brining in patio furniture before an upcoming storm. Nycole is 5 stars all the way!
