“Fabulous! She is consistent, timing walks and messaging me. She took extra care when there were issues with his stool, suggesting a visit to the vet. The inconsistency did not last long, and my dog was healthy throughout her loving and mindful care. Thank you!”

“Paz was amazing! She took care of everything, that I asked her to do. Sent pictures during the visits. And my cat wasn’t meowing much after leaving him for 4 days, which is a huge win. Very happy with the results.”

About: I love every animal as if they’re my own! I’ve grown up surround by animals my entire life, so pet sitting was a no brainer! I have experience with both Cats, dogs, kittens, puppies, & seniors! I work full time but can try to make anything work around my schedule! I am a manager, so I get to make my own work hours. In the past, I’ll be able to walk dogs on my lunch breaks - or if needed, I’ll take a break from work. I know animals are more than just pets and they deserve nothing but the best care. I like to stick to pet’s normal routines as much as possible (when walking or dog sitting). And I like to give as many belly rubs that I can get in (if possible)

“When my husband and I brought home our puppy, Bridget, our biggest concern was how she would be cared for while we’re at work. Alice and Trey alleviated any worries and then some! They are communicative, attentive, and treat Bridget like one of their own. I can go to work with total confidence and peace of mind that she is well cared for and enjoying fresh air, exercise, and socialization. They have been nothing short of a blessing for us as our pup grows!”

“Audrey was absolutely amazing with our cat Milo. She was super timely and provided amazing updates. Our house was left super clean and we are extremely grateful for her help! Milo has a new friend too!”

About: I've had the privilege of always having a dog in the house, since the day I was born. My parents are pet-lovers, and definitely passed that trait down to me. I've had experience with dogs from all ages, puppy to senior, and understand the level of dedication and attentiveness is requires to give pets the care they deserve. Not only do I have experience with caring for my own dogs, but I have pet-sitted and walked for my neighbors various pets (dogs & cats) since I was 10 years old. Taking care of pets is not just about doing the bare minimum such as feeding or walking. It is about realizing that these are members of someone's family and giving them that same love is part of the job! I'm currently a graduated high-school student preparing to start my first year at the University of Virginia in the fall! I have more availability throughout the day (morning and night) during the weekdays, but am also available Sunday mornings/afternoons. Through my experience with my own dogs, I know how to both crate-train and potty-train if needed. I will always accompany your pet outside if there is a backyard present, so that they will always be looked after! I also know how to use most "tools" such as pet gates and crates.
“Sara is incredibly amazing. Trustworthy and responsive. Her communication style provides comfort for any companion animal owner. She's definitely on my short list of people to call when in need. She deserves my highest recommendation.”

“I cannot say enough how much we like Andrea! She took great care of our furbabies during our vacations! She was always on time, and spent long time with our furbabies so that they wouldn’t feel lonely! She is like family member us!”
“I was away for 11 days while Devon looked after my cat, Tito, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She sent thoughtful daily updates and the sweetest photos of them playing and cuddling together—I loved watching their bond grow over the week. It was clear Tito felt safe and happy, which made it so much easier for me to be away. Devon even stayed a little longer on some days just to spend more time with him. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such caring hands, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!”

“What a great person with intelligence, wit and so dependable. I can’t brag on Gina enough! She’s definitely going to be my go to favorite! Very attentive to my fat cat and actually got close! My cat just doesn’t do that but I think they became friends.”

About: I have been fostering and adopting pets with my family since I was 6 years old. This includes mostly dogs/puppies as well as kittens/cats! Our house was constantly a zoo. I am a college student on summer break, so I am free all week every week!! I will be fully dedicated to caring for and entertaining my furry friends. I am able to safely take care of your pets and their health, as well as give them the love they need. My number one priority is making sure they are comfortable! I am very familiar with both cat and dog behaviors and can recognize their discomfort confidently.
“Roberta helped us out at the last minute and was able to walk and feed Enoki while our other pup was in the ER. She provided great services. Thank you again 😊”

About: Hello! I have been taking care of furry-friends since I was young. I have always been an animal lover and love giving belly rubs/ going for long walks! I have experience in dogsitting with Neighbors and family friends. I pride myself in providing lots of updates throughout the day/ visit and will make sure to send photos! I am a remote worker and have lots of flexibility! I can tailor the hours that is best for you and maintain a schedule that your pup is used to! I have watched many family friends pets and ensured that everyone is happy, healthy and having fun during the visit! I love providing pupcuddles and belly rubs after a long walk!
About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was a teenager, and I truly love spending time with animals—it feels like such an honor and a privilege. While I don’t currently have pets of my own due to my travels, caring for other people’s pets helps fill that void until I can adopt a furry friend of my own! I work from home with a flexible schedule. I pet sit and dog walk for friends and family whenever I can because I love it. Safety is my top priority when caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s. I always make sure the environment is secure, free of hazards, and suited to the pet’s needs. I follow any specific instructions from the owner, including dietary restrictions, medication schedules, and preferred routines. When walking dogs, I use secure leashes and harnesses, avoiding unsafe areas and extreme weather conditions. In a client’s home, I ensure doors and gates are properly closed, and I respect the pet’s space while providing plenty of attention and care. My goal is to create a stress-free, comfortable experience for both pets and their owners!
About: What sets me apart is real, hands-on experience, not just good intentions. I raised and trained my own dog from 8 weeks old, so I understand puppy behavior, training fundamentals, and how to build trust with a young or nervous dog from day one. I'm comfortable with all sizes, from tiny breeds to big dogs who need extra exercise and structure. I've also pet sat for countless friends since I was a teenager, so I know that every dog has a different personality and routine, and I take the time to learn what makes your pet comfortable rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether your pup needs an experienced hand with training reinforcement, extra patience, or just a loving, attentive presence while you're away, I treat every pet like my own. I currently have a lot of flexibility in my schedule! I'm not tied to a rigid 9-to-5, so I'm able to offer flexible availability throughout the week — including midday visits, walks, and drop-ins that a lot of full-time sitters can't accommodate. Whether it's a regular weekly routine or last-minute coverage, I have the bandwidth to be reliable and consistent, which I know matters most to pet parents. In my home, your pet will have plenty of space to relax and play — I have a dog-friendly 1,200 square foot apartment, and a trail nearby for walks and exercise. My own dog is incredibly social and loves playing with other dogs, so if your pup enjoys company, they'll have a built-in playmate during their stay. I treat every pet like a member of the household — consistent feeding schedules, plenty of attention, and enough space to settle in and feel comfortable rather than confined. When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible — same feeding times, same walk schedule, same little habits they're used to. I want pets to feel like nothing has changed just because their owner is away, and I always treat their home with the same respect and care I'd want for my own.
“She is the best. Been using her service for 3 years now. I can't say enough good things about Brittany and how she is with my two goldens. Reliable, kind, and impeccable care.”

About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family and friends. I am pretty open nowadays. Ready to take care of your furry babies as much as needed! Also, have my helpers ( my kids off school, are ready to help)! Right now I am open to come and take care of your pets! Always willing to come first to get to know your pets, and introduce myself. Folowing the rules and instructions- that’s number one priority. Safety, Trust, Care and Love only!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Del Mar
Audrey was so great with our sweet cat, Milo. She is exceptionally timely, provides great updates and photos, and super resourceful - helping us troubleshoot an issue with our autofeeder. We are super appreciative. This was our second time working with Audrey, and we will again!

Emily watched my cat Niele again in October and, as always, did a wonderful job! She’s reliable, thoughtful, and keeps me updated with photos that give total peace of mind while I’m away. Niele is always relaxed and content when I return — clearly well cared for. I’m so grateful to have found such a caring and dependable sitter. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Del Mar. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
