“Sophie is great! She is caring and attentive. Maisy enjoyed her week playing with Snow and hanging out. I felt super comfortable that Maisy was well cared for. She came home exhausted from an active day with her new friends!”

“This was my first rover so I was admittedly quite nervous. Not only for myself, but even my dogs caretaker as at 4 months old, she can still have puppy like tics. Despite it all, Linda was communicative, thorough and a joy to interact with. You can tell her family has a great vibe, and that reflects in how they treat their dogs. I’m especially appreciative that we were a bit late to pick my pup up due to some traffic and Linda was so understanding and patient. Two paws way way up ?”
“My anxious little dog seemed to be so happy here, eager to return again the next day after hanging out with his new friend Pepper. Communication was great and easy all the way through, and we were really happy Thor had a great time!”
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and puppies my whole life. I love little dogs who cuddle all day all the way to big dogs who will hike and run with me to get some energy out. I’m currently in school from home full time so I have time to play with your pups or hang with them while I do my school work! I have a fenced in patio as well as room inside for dogs to play. I’m trustworthy, clean and hard working and can house sit dogs at their home if needed!
“Lena is an absolute gem of a dog sitter! Not only did she take amazing care of my pup Leo and wore him out with all the fun adventures, but she also saved the day with her flexibility. I had a last-minute booking, and Lena was incredibly accommodating, making sure Leo had a blast despite the short notice. She kept me updated with photos and videos throughout his stay, putting my mind at ease. If you need someone reliable, loving, and flexible for your furry friend, Lena is the one to call. Leo can't wait for his next visit with her!”

“Ari is the absolute best! Every time we leave Tan with her, we feel so comfortable knowing he is safe and treated like a special guest. Ari is super responsive, so kind and lovely, and so accommodating when we need an early drop off or Tan needs some extra attention. Plus she always sends pictures of Tan looking so relaxed and making himself right at home. Thank you so much Ari, we are so glad we found you!!”

“Jacob was truly the best person that has ever taken care of my dogs. They are both older Jack Russells and the one is partially blind. Jacob accommodated my husband and I in every possible way. We were staying at L’auberge hotel and we went to the Del Mar racecourse. He picked the dogs up on schedule and delivered them in perfect condition. When they saw me, they weren’t really very excited, which is indicative of how happy they were. He is the nicest person I’ve ever had take care of the dogs and I would highly recommend him and give him five stars. Lynne Bentel”

About: My Fiancé, Olivia, and I have grown up around dogs all our lives. Olivia has had a Golden Retriever and English Springer Spaniel, while I grew up with a Border Collie, Cockapoo, and Mutt Lab. Over the past few years we’ve been watching our friends dogs and thought that this was a great way to get more puppy love. I am work from home, so I’m able to walk, play, and attend to the dog throughout the entirety of the day. Olivia is a teacher and at school during the day, but is around in the afternoons and on weekends. We are available most weekdays and some weekends to watch pets! We live in an apartment building, but I frequently go on walks and leave the building throughout the day. We can walk to dog beach if your dog is super social, or we can stay in the neighborhood, or go to Fletcher Cove to hang on the lawn.
“Breanna and Maverick took such amazing care of our 4 month old pup. Our pup can be a bit shy in new environments and is going through potty training and Breanna made sure she was taken care of. Maverick was such a big teddy bear who our puppy loved to play with. Would highly recommend!”

“Caroline is the best sitter I’ve ever had on Rover! She is so sweet and goes above and beyond to make sure you and your pup are happy with lots of updates along the way. Layla absolutely loves her and was always so excited to see her everyday. I wish we lived in San Diego so we could bring her for daycare all the time:)”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and truly love their company. My cat Manny was with me for 18 amazing years, and I’ve also cared for several dogs—including a Cocker Spaniel I raised from a puppy. As he aged, he developed glaucoma and eventually went blind. Supporting him through surgeries and daily care taught me how to provide patient, gentle, and loving support for senior pets and those needing extra attention. I care for dogs right here in Del Mar, just a few blocks from the beach—only four blocks from the Del Mar Dog Park on 9th Street and within walking distance of Del Mar Dog Beach. I offer exclusive, personalized boarding, so your pup will receive my full attention and care. Your furry family member will enjoy snuggles, shady seaside walks, fresh ocean breezes, and—if you approve—delicious home-baked biscuits and treats. I also offer safe, supervised socialization with other dogs at Del Mar Dog Beach or Del Mar Dog Park (9th Street) offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays after 3:30pm. (only if approved by you). Whether your pet loves to play, cuddle, or just relax with a calm, caring companion, I’ll treat them like family—and send you plenty of adorable photo updates while you’re away! I work part-time and from home, which gives me the flexibility to fit my day around your pet’s routine. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or beach outings, I treat every pet like my own and make sure they get all the love and attention they deserve. When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I understand how important consistency is. I make sure they’re fed on time, have fresh water, have a clean litter box or yard, and most importantly—lots of love and attention. I take a calm and respectful approach to meeting new dogs and cats. I let them come to me on their terms, and whether they want playtime, cuddles, or just someone to quietly share space with, I’m there for them. For dogs, I provide plenty of one-on-one time—walks, play, mental stimulation, and affection—based on their energy level and needs. I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes and ages, including those who may need extra help due to medical or behavioral issues. I always keep safety and cleanliness a top priority and will stay in communication with you throughout the visit so you feel confident and connected while you’re away.
“Alana was awesome with our dog Teddy! We have a very fearful and reactive dog, but he felt immediately at home with Alana. She provided constant updates and made us feel very comfortable. We will definitely be reaching out again!”

“Vivian (Yan) took great care of our boisterous teenaged golden retriever. She's very experienced around dogs (she's raised a very polite Rottweiler) and has so much love for them that it shows in everything she does. We are grateful that she lives only a few minutes from our house making our weekly drop offs very easy.”

“Yue was a great dog sitter. I’d definitely hire her again. She sent many still photos and videos of our dog throughout the day. It was easy to communicate with her. She answered promptly and was very accommodating to our schedule. She walked our dog before we picked her up, so our dog would be able to sit for the long car ride home and not need to be relieved immediately. Yue was friendly and responsive.”

About: I’m a huge animal lover who grew up with pets. I have always enjoyed taking care of them. I have experience with dogs, cats, and fish. I can do basic grooming, feeding, walking, playing, and cuddling for your pets. I can also give them medication, follow special diets, and deal with emergencies. What makes me different from other sitters is my passion for learning new skills and improving my pet care knowledge. I’m planning to get certified in animal training and health. I have also volunteered at local shelters and rescue groups. I’m especially interested in training puppies and senior care, because I think these are the most challenging and rewarding stages of a pet’s life. I use positive reinforcement to teach puppies basic commands, socialization, and housebreaking. I also give gentle and compassionate care to senior pets, who may need extra attention, comfort, and support. I love all animals and I treat them like they are my own. I will keep you updated and send you photos of your pets while you are away. I will make sure your pets are happy, healthy, and safe while you are gone. Pet care is a part of my daily or weekly routine, depending on the service I offer and the availability of the clients. I usually have a flexible schedule, but I prefer to work in the mornings and evenings, when most pets need their walks, meals, and playtime. I can also accommodate overnight stays, drop-in visits, or extended stays, depending on the client's needs and preferences. I care for pets in my home and/or the client's home with utmost respect, responsibility, and professionalism. I always follow the client's instructions and preferences regarding their pet's care, such as feeding, walking, playing, sleeping, and medication. I also respect the client's privacy and property, and I do not touch or use anything that is not related to the pet's care. I always keep the pet's environment clean, safe, and comfortable. I make sure there are no hazards or dangers that could harm the pet, such as wires, chemicals, sharp objects, or escape routes. I also provide the pet with adequate water, food, toys, bedding, and litter. I always communicate with the client before, during, and after the service. I send them updates and photos of their pet's activities and well-being. I also inform them of any issues or concerns that may arise during the service. I am honest, trustworthy, and reliable. I always show up on time and complete the service as agreed. I also have a backup plan in case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. I have a valid driver's license and a car, so I can transport the pet to the vet or another location if needed. I also have a first-aid kit and a pet CPR certification, so I can handle minor injuries or health problems that may occur during the service.
“I had a wonderful experience with Justin and Tara! They were very responsive and friendly from the start, which made me feel at ease leaving my dog in their care. Throughout the stay, they sent me frequent updates with texts and pictures, which I really appreciated. It was clear that they truly care about the dogs they look after, and my pup was well taken care of and happy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!”

“We just moved to San Diego from Dallas, TX, and we were a bit nervous about finding a new pet host for our 2 year Yorkie-Poo, Teddy. I went on Rover and as soon as I saw Sarah's profile phot and read her profile I got a good vibe. I reached out and we exchanged a few messages before setting an appointment for a few hours on Saturday so we could go out to dinner with friends. Me and my husband were still nervous, but as soon as we met Sarah the nervousness was replaced with a great feeling! Sarah exudes kindness and care. She sent us updates regularly -and photos! When we picked up Teddy, he was happy and calm. I just met Sarah, but I already love her! She welcomed Teddy into her home and I felt that we were at the start of mutually rewarding relationship. I highly recommend Sarah!”

Ehda accepted my very last minute request and wonderfully watched my dog with all the instructions. My dog has a bit of extra care instruction due to his leg injury and she was very accommodative to my requests. I am very worried pet parent and can get very nervous when leaving my puppy with someone but Ehda and her mom really made me feel at ease and I am very happy to have found her and will definitely rebook with her in the future!

My first time using the Rover app and using Randy for my grand dog. Randy took the best of care of my husky mix, sent me pics and updates throughout the day. I plan to use Randy again and again! My grand dog was very happy and enjoyed the attention Randy and his wife Elena have him throughout the day. Highly recommend!

I felt very comfortable having Jia Wei watch my dog. This was her first experience with a day care setting and I was a bit anxious at first. He did a great job caring for her. I enjoyed getting updates and videos through out the day. My dog became so comfortable staying at his house she was anticipating each morning running to the door to get into my car! I would definitely recommend his care to others!
