“Michelle and Steve are amazing! They are incredibly patient with my sometimes rambunctious 9 month old sherpard terrier mix. Michelle provides really thorough daily updates with some highlights and works to ensure that the behaviors that the owner is working on with their pup are followed during the stay. The icing on the cake is their pup Daisy. She is incredibly sweet and calm, and my pup Iris loves spending the day playing with her. 10/10 would recommend, and would not hesitate to book for sitting or boarding services!”

“We have had to best experience with Adriana and Cameron! They have been amazing and our 8 month old Labrador is always exhausted after picking him up! Their backyard is completely set up for the dogs and love all the pictures and videos they send. So excited to have found a great daycare to bring our pup!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Ty and Annie. They are incredibly friendly, clearly care about what they do, and communicated with us every step of the way. They were especially understanding of our dog’s anxiety and went out of their way to help him feel comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for better care.”

“Michelle was great with our anxious senior pup! He has separation anxiety and she created a very calming environment for him to hang out at and had a great system to ensure that he was comfortable. She was communicative and easy to plan with. We’ll definitely book with her again!”

“Hana is so sweet and such a professional! You can tell how much she cares for dogs and her knowledge is vast with dog training! Our dog, Brodie, used to go to daycare at a big facility but would always be too overstimulated. With Hana, his demeanor is way better! Would recommend her to anybody!”

“Our puppy is very shy with new people, but Jenny and Lucky had no problem making her feel comfortable. I felt relaxed because I knew my girl was truly cared for and safe. We found our perfect pet sitter. No need to look further! Thank you so much, Jenny!”

“Tristan was fantastic and really helped us in a last minute pinch. Not even 5 min after we left we got a photo showing our boy was happy and content staying where he was. Huge peace of mind so my wife and I could focus on celebrating her birthday and having a wonderful night out. He was very responsive, communicative, and made us feel at ease! Thanks so much, Tristan!”

“Gris is an exceptional dog sitter! Her sweet nature and excellent communication made our experience worry-free. Despite our slight delay in returning, she was incredibly understanding. Gris treated our furry family member with the utmost care and affection, as if our pup was her own. Her attentiveness and dedication have earned our trust completely. We're thrilled to have found such a reliable and loving sitter in Gris, and we look forward to having her as our go-to dog care provider for all future needs. Highly recommended!”

“Susana really helped me out when I was in a bind- she accommodated my 8 month old for daycare last minute. He had a great time and passed out right when he got into the car to go home! Thanks again!”

“Shaina is very attentive and provides lots of Updates and pictures. You can really tell how much she loves dogs. Her dog buddy is so sweet and matches my dogs energy. Pluto gets so excited heading over to her house and he gets the best care. Definitely recommend!”

“My little man Brady absolutely loved his time with Lucy and Stella. Huge thanks to Taylor and Andrew I can’t say enough good things! Being able to be absent without the stress of his well being is priceless. This was our first time using Rover and couldn’t be happier. We will absolutely be back sooner than later!”

“Our first time using Rover for our Sheepadoodle. Sam made Harry feel at home and was very kind. He sent us a few pictures and updates. Will definitely book with him again ?”

About: I grew up on a farm with many animals. We have raised our girls with many pets including: chickens, bunnies, several foster and adopted dogs, and rescuing cats that would have been euthanized to live on our farm. We have 1 acre of fully fenced yard in a cozy community. We recently had to put down our sweet pit bull and are looking to opening up our homes to care for others pets at this time. We have a lot of love to give and would appreciate your consideration. I work from home so I am available all day and night excluding of course picking up kids and family activities. We have 4 daughters, 2 of which have graduated high school and in college, 1 going into high school and a 9 year old. They have all had extensive experience with many animals and been involved with agriculture in their middle and high schools. We presently have 2 cats (one of which is fully outdoor and one that comes in at night to sleep). We understand that many individuals have cats that are fully indoor and we have ample space, beds and furniture for your cat to feel comfortable. We are also BIG dog people and missing our sweet pit bull. We have a great neighborhood for taking walks, a 1 acre fully fenced yard for running and playing in. We will keep all cats indoors at all times. We will have any animals that stay with us in our home at night and have dogs go out frequently to play.

“Incredibly kind people and flexible. They have a few dogs that my 4 month old puppy played with. When I got home she went to sleep right away so it seemed like she had plenty of fun! Thanks guys. I will be coming back for your help!”
“Corinne and Christopher took great care of our Lola! They helped us out last minute and were super flexible with our pick up time due to the fact that we were moving. They are super nice and loved having her. We are super happy we found them and will definitely have them watch Lola for us anytime they want to!”

“Our dog had a great stay with Clint and his partner! There were many friendly dogs that she could play with, they took her for a walk to a dog park for even more play, and we were sent frequent updates. We got a very tired and happy pup back, which is always great. Thanks Clint!”

Sam was so amazing with my dog!! He absolutely loved her and even ran straight into her house to play. She was easy to communicate with and very flexible. A very kind, caring and compassionate person. I cannot recommend her more highly. I’m so grateful to have found her, and I think she’s our favorite dog sitter yet!

Hi, It was my first time using Rover, and Angela's name popped up so as soon as I sent the message she turned a message stating that she is available. My dog loved it there. She played with his son chased him around the house just like he loves. Charger saying while her son played the piano. Got the cutest little video. Needless to say he was exhausted from playing so well with her kids. I would highly recommend Angela

Hanna is great. My dog Zeus stayed with her several times now and each time he was completely relaxed and happy when I picked him up. He tends to be skeptical of strangers and stressed out by daycare, but not with Hanna. He gets to play with her dog Bigsby, plays with toys, solves puzzles, goes for walks and eventually snuggles on the sofa when he is tired. Hanna deeply cares about a dog's needs.

I appreciate the care provided for my dog at daycare by Tanya and Josh. They followed the requested schedule for walks and meals and kept me informed with photo and video updates. My dog also seemed to enjoy the time spent playing with the their dogs. Thank you for the reliable service.

Wen and Lan were wonderful! From the start, they were communicative, reliable, and you can tell they clearly love dogs. We received regular updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. My dog Chad was happy, well cared for, and comfortable the entire time. When I picked Chad up from daycare I came back to a relaxed, content pup, which says everything! I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, loving care!!

Yangyan and her dad took wonderful care of Shio! They asked about his needs ahead of time, followed his food and walk routine, and sent consistent photo updates. She was also flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, which we really appreciated. Overall, we felt confident leaving Shio in her care, and he seemed to really love her as well. Highly recommend!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
