“Vinh is absolutely wonderful. This was our first time having him take care of our babies and he was very attentive to the needs of our pets. Including two of which that are special needs. We would highly recommend him and will definitely request him in the future.”
About: Throughout my life I’ve lived and played with dogs of all sizes and ages. My parents had a small, old dog until we moved and brought in a golden retriever. Before I was 10, I was out in charge of raising a German Shepard puppy who grew to be 100 lbs! I currently have a small mixed breed and a black lab, we keep each other entertained and happy. I currently work part-time and have plenty of time to meet and take care of your pets. I do travel occasionally and will keep my availability up to date. I live in a fenced-in half-acre where the dogs & chickens run freely. Indoor care and/or crating is no problem as long as the animals can feel safe. I’d prefer to come to you where your pet(s) might be more comfurtable and will be sure to leave your home is as-good-or-better cleanliness than I find it in.
“Pam did a great job with daily summaries of my older, un-social kitty. I appreciated the attention to matters we discussed at an in-person meeting a few days before we left. Thanks again, Pam!”

“Sofya is the absolute BEST! She took such good care of my kitty every day that I was gone and sent me so many pictures and told me how she was doing each day! She is super easy to get a hold of too which is great when you have to leave your fur baby! Will definitely be booking with her again ☺️”

“Andrey is amazing! He showed up right on time to meet and greet my pups. He’s very sweet, kind and showed great attention to detail in regards to caring for my crew. My senior dogs need a lot of love and he took such great care of them. He was very communicative, sending me pictures and updates of how my dogs were doing each day. He even kept my home neat and tidy. Andrey was a fabulous choice and I will continue to have him watch my dogs again in the future.”

About: I've loved all animals for as long as I could remember and am currently pursuing a veterinary profession in undergrad. I own 3 dogs of my own and am shadowing a veterinarian this summer, and my experience of handling all kinds of animals and behaviors with unfamiliar people expands every day. I love all animals and getting to spend time with them in any way I can. I currently am only shadowing on Tuesdays and Fridays at an animal hospital, but every other day I am dedicating to showering my own pups with love, and can easily fit in devoted attention to any animal that requires it. I prioritize communication, safety, and your pet's comfort are my highest priorities. I hope to make your time away from home as stress-free as possible and making sure your pet's needs and happiness is of number one importance. As a pre-veterinary student I have a diverse background and knowledge of how to accommodate for every animal's unique needs.
“Madeline was kind and patient with my nervous little rescue dog who thinks she can only be taken care of by me. Thank you, Madeline. Great dependable service and sweet to Cici, too!”

I have one pupper of my own - a labradoodle pitt and labrador retriever who is full of energy and loves everyone they meet! I am currently working part time and am available for drop ins or dog walks when needed! I am also flexible and can accept last minute bookings. When in your home, I would love to take your fur babies for walks, anything you already do with them to make them the most comfortable! i’m currently working a part time job, so i’ll be able to tend to your furry babies! i’m available anytime before 2pm and after 6pm i have one pup and a fence to take care of your fur babies and i also have a cage in case they need it!
“Erica was a stellar caregiver! Our dog Hudson of 15 years enjoyed having her over and she took very good care of him. We trust Erica and will be requesting her again for sure on our next trip. Thank you so much Erica for your kindness and care!”

“Kelcy was really nice and I can tell she really loves dogs. She was very communicative and has a positive attitude. I had to modify my booking twice and she took care of that right away. I’ve used her for drop in visit twice now and she did a great job both times. I will definitely use her again if I’m ever away.”

“We had a great experience with Megan stopping by each day to check on our cats. She sent thorough updates with photos which is always appreciative and took great care of our kitties. Her girls came over too so they got some extra love and pets. We will definitely look to use Megan again!”

About: Hi there! I’m Logan and I thank you for giving my profile a look! My family has had dogs in our house since 2009, so I’ve taken care of multiple dogs in my life. I love any breed and size! I can’t work with cats as much family has a history of cat allergies. I can’t wait to meet you and your dog(s) wagging tail(s) My mom used to work at a school and asked me to take care of our two dogs for the day while she was gone. I made sure they had food, water, went to the restroom and had lots of fun! I treat all the dogs we have like they’re my child. I take care of them to make sure they live long happy lives! It’s nice to cuddle with them.

About: I've been house sitting/ pet sitting for about 15 years now. My friends, family, and neighbors have all trusted me to watch their furry, feathered,or scaled babies for long trips out of state/country or for last minute help. I personally have a few different types of animals from cats and dogs to bunnies and my snake and a few chickens. I've also had experience with live stock as well. I'm also looking going to school to be a vet tech as well! I love going on hikes and being outside so if your furry friends like long walks we will fit perfectly together! I hope to get to know and help you and your babies soon! I am available any day of the week and weekends the only time I'm unavailable is Thursday's from 8pm-12pm for karaoke hosting. Other then that I am free! My house/backyard is safe for dogs and I also have crates for dogs but I perfer to stay where they are comfortable and not anxious. The pets tend to have better experiences when I stay at the client's home.
About: Doggies with short snouts welcome here! 🐾 I love all kinds of pups; seniors, short snouts, & snugglers of all breeds 💕 [Bulldog breeds, Pugs, Boston Terriers, King Charles Spaniels, & more!] My entire world was my Frenchie, Layla 'Sweet Potata', until she passed from old age. I deeply understand that your dog isn't just a pet—they are your absolute family, and I know exactly how much trust it takes to leave them with someone else. Because of Layla, I speak fluent "snort and grunt" and understand the specific nuances that come with flatter-faced breeds. Your baby will receive the exact same vigilance, tenderness, and love that I gave my own girl. 🐾 What Sets My Home Apart: One Family at a Time: I work from home full-time, so your dog will have constant companionship. To keep things calm and focused, I only host one dog (or two from the same household) at a time. They will never have to compete for a lap or love. I'm hyper-aware of the daily maintenance these special pups need. I’m fully equipped to handle tail pocket cleanliness, regular wrinkle wiping, and ear upkeep. You are welcome to bring your own preferred supplies, but I have plenty of resources here to keep them fresh, clean, and happy. Spine & Heat Safety: To prevent IVDD and protect their backs, my home features ramps and stairs for all couches and beds. Inside is kept cool with continuous A/C over smooth hardwood floors, and outside features a large, naturally grassy yard with a tall fence—and no neighbor dogs on either side for a stress-free potty time. Medications & Routines: I am completely comfortable administering oral medications and eye drops, and I closely monitor breathing and temperature limits. I work from home, so your dog will receive full-time attention, supervision, and care. My home has central A/C, a fenced grass backyard for them to enjoy San Diego weather, and tons of toys & beds to cuddle in. Your pup will always be welcome on the couch and my bed. Fun for a flat-faced pup is all about balancing engagement with safety, and my day is built around that rhythm. Your pup will leave happy, safe and well rested.
“Jessica did drop-in visits for our cat while we were away for a few days. She was responsive from beginning to end, and I felt confident to leave Oliver with her. She gave daily updates and made us feel at ease. Would love to have Jessica come take care of Oliver again in the future. Thank you Jessica!”

“Nicole was wonderful! She visited my two cats and she was very accommodating and flexible with my changing schedule. I got photos and details for every visit. My cats were very comfortable with her as well :)”

Nadya is both intelligent and conscientious. It was easy to tell she followed instructions for pet care, including multiple medicines. She also handled problems that wouldn’t normally be a pet sitter’s responsibility: the carbon monoxide detector that died, and kitchen counter cleaning to defeat the ants that tried to move in. Our dogs and kitchen were in great condition when we returned home.

Sarah was amazing with my two cats! From the moment I met her, her calm and kind energy set all of us at ease. My high energy cat and fluffy scaredy cat both took to her immediately. She was caring, on time, sent cutest pictures and left the house tidy. I would recommend her to all my friends!

Carly was awesome! Came over a few days in advance to meet the cats and hear the set up for the five days we were gone. We had no worries while we were away with Carly checking in on them and keeping their litter boxes clean and waters stocked. She sent a picture of both of them each check in and was communicative and reliable. Thanks Carly! Would definitely book again 😸😸

Emily did an AMAZING job caring for our dog and cat. She was very thorough in following our requested guidance and our animals were very well loved in her care. She also was a great communicator about when she would be coming by and took lots of photos. Everyone was very happy when we got back home. Thanks, Emily!

- 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
