“I had contacted sarah on very short notice pet sitting my 3 cats & frenchie for a week. Sarah was extremely responsive and provided a response very quickly! She sent photos and videos and kept us in the loop! Also was so accommodating to our food schedule/my animals needs So happy she was there, I will absolutely be booking again. Thank you sarah!”

About: I have had cats and dogs my entire life. I have taken care of over 30 foster cats and had 6 dogs. While much of my experience is with cats, I have taken care of dogs from Yorkies to Akitas. I work seasonally in the winter, so my schedule is very open until November 1st. I can come by at the owner's preferred times and stay as needed. When I care for pets, I do my best not to disrupt their routine so that their schedule is at least familiar. I try to get as much info from the owners beforehand about play preferences, medication schedules if needed, what the average day looks like for their pet, or any boundaries so I can keep their fur babie's lives as uninterrupted as possible.
“Amazing as always. Breanna has such a kind heart and takes very good care of my Bella. Food, water, litter, pets all handled perfectly. Bella is always in a good mood when I come home and that is a sign that she is well taken care of.”

“Africa is amazing! She took the time to get to know My dog maverick and I appreciate her trying to get him out of his shell quick since he is sooo shy. I would recommend her to anyone. She did great without even getting a chance to meet him first so I appreciate her availability as well!”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was born. I have trained two dogs myself including my current dog. I can reinforce training during visits or walks. I know how to perform subcutaneous injections, prepare and use a feeding tube, and a master of delivering oral medication. Willing to do teeth brushing and nail trimming for an additional fee. I work part time at the Safari. My work hours range from 7am to 5:30pm most days. So I can do visits before or after work. I will share my availability for each week at request. Willing to do visits or walks as late as 8pm. I am flexible to how you want me to treat your pets whether it be spoiled or rigid training. I care for my own dog with one scent lead walk a night and the occasional heel walk. I also reinforce training throughout the day at home.
“Great communication and an instant positive connection with the dogs! She was amazing and I didn’t have any second thoughts or stress knowing my dogs were in such good hands. I highly recommend Jacqueline if you want a caring, punctual, and responsible dog sitter who is capable of handling any and all challenges thrown her way!”

About: I’ve spent the last 8 years working for a prominent national pet supplies retailer and as such come equipped with a wealth of professional pet care knowledge (and of course love!) for animals of all types! I work full-time on a hybrid schedule (in office Tuesdays through Thursdays). I work from home on Mondays and Fridays and as such have the best availability on those days and weekend days. However I am open to staying in homes throughout the week and have the option to bring pets with me to the office if that’s something that interests you and works best for everyone involved. I work best with detailed care instructions but I have cared for all types of animals and am able to problem solve or figure out what’s needed in any circumstance when instructions are not provided or needed. I make the firm commitment to love your pet as if they were my own and provide that same level of care!
“Jessica was great! She was awesome, flexible, and took great care of our pets. We were able to book her last minute and she always checked in on our pets and communicates well. She kept me updated with pictures and updates. Would recommend!”

“Carley was amazing taking care of our cat. I would absolutely recommend her. She was very caring, communicative and trustworthy. I hope to work with her again soon”

“Ms. Ana was so sweet, gentle and loving with my babies. Ana was on time for every drop in, she played with them, gave them snuggles and reassurance that mama would be home. I 10000% will use Ms. Ana again. We hit the jackpot ♥️”

Claudia is so amazing! She took such good care of my Luna! She went above and beyond what was asked of her and was able to accommodate my last minute booking. She is timely, responsive, friendly, genuinely loves dogs, and will go the extra mile for you. I could not have asked for a better dog sitter for my first time using Rover. Thank you, Claudia!

Talia was amazing. We needed someone last minute to do a drop in for our two dogs, and she delivered right away! She followed our instructions about what to expect with our dogs, as they are very high maintenance. We enjoyed all the photos as well, and from the looks of it, our dogs liked her too! We would definitely be using Talia again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
