About: I’ve pet sat for a multitude of households ranging from one to three animals at once, I take them on daily walks. Make sure they’re fed at least two times a day with correct portion sizes and make it a priority to keep them entertained and active! I’m currently on summer break and currently unemployed so I have more than enough time to care for furry friends! I have a wide range of availability as I only go back to school in September! My backyard is fully fenced in with the gates on either side so no escaping here! I have one 13-year-old white lab who is a gentle giant and will be more than happy to meet new friends!
About: I grew up on a farm and have always loved animals. I have taken care of different animals since I was a little girl. I have a lot of experience with large and small animals. I work full time but I am available in the evening as well as some mornings before work. I usually have open availability on the weekends. I have a beautiful cat currently, who is very spoiled at my house. We love being active outside and playing with toys at home. I am a very active person myself, which is why I enjoying walking dogs so much.
“Amazing as always. Breanna has such a kind heart and takes very good care of my Bella. Food, water, litter, pets all handled perfectly. Bella is always in a good mood when I come home and that is a sign that she is well taken care of.”

About: Hi! I’m your pet’s new favorite human 😉 and a reliable animal lover who loves keeping pets safe, happy, and comfortable. I grew up with cats and dogs and have become the go-to sitter for friends and family when they travel. I’m happy to care for pets based on their personalities—whether that’s walks, playtime, or quiet companionship. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities, and I’ll treat them like part of my own pack (or clowder 🐾). I work from home so I have a flexible schedule and open availability, including weekends and holidays, and I’m an early bird, so morning feedings, walks, and check-ins are no problem. I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s routine and provide consistent attention, care, and companionship to keep them safe, comfortable, and happy 🐾 Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities, and I follow their routine closely to create a calm, loving environment. I’m also tidy and respectful of your home, keeping things clean and organized while caring for your furry friend. 🐾

About: I have tons of experience with all kinds of animals. I have loved and cared for: -kittens, senior cats, and pregnant cats -puppies, senior dogs, and pregnant dogs I’ve also had birds, fish, and bunnies. I have also volunteered with horses and other farm animals, although I’ve never personally owned any. I am currently a college student and a manager at an ice cream shop. I’m looking to help my community and fill my time! I work most days but, most of my classes are online. I am willing to be flexible! I am very particular when it comes to client care. I don’t believe you can “spoil” an animal because they’re our babies! Let’s take care of them the best we can together. Any requests for pet care are fine by me as long as the animal is safe and happy! My animals(I have 3 dogs and 2 cats) all get along well, are fed well, and regularly see a vet.
“I really appreciate Heather for stepping in to help me out to look out for Dolly. I would definitely use her in the future. she showed up on time and helped my mom and her dog out in assisted-living facility. Thank you Heather for your help.”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was born. I have trained two dogs myself including my current dog. I can reinforce training during visits or walks. I know how to perform subcutaneous injections, prepare and use a feeding tube, and a master of delivering oral medication. Willing to do teeth brushing and nail trimming for an additional fee. I work part time at the Safari. My work hours range from 7am to 5:30pm most days. So I can do visits before or after work. I will share my availability for each week at request. Willing to do visits or walks as late as 8pm. I am flexible to how you want me to treat your pets whether it be spoiled or rigid training. I care for my own dog with one scent lead walk a night and the occasional heel walk. I also reinforce training throughout the day at home.

About: Proud owner of an Australian cattle dog named Roxy. Father of two. I'm professional communicative and honest. I show up when I say I'm going to and provide the best experience possible for your dog. I am available anytime 7 days a week. Day or night for house visits, and dog walks. I know how stressful it could be worrying about your pet when you are away. I always make sure your dog is happy and tired and ready for a nap after my walks. Some dogs need a little more exercise than others, and I will make sure that they are satisfied.
About: I love dogs and cats! I own one of each, and have fostered about forty. I have learned great leash-training skills, and behavior management of fearful dogs to help them feel more comfortable. I am fit and enjoy exercise, so I am happy to take your dog on long walks or even hikes! I can also administer treats on a walk if a dog needs some leash-training. Most importantly, I will treat your pup with kindness and affection. I am a teacher, so I have a lot of availability during the summer and holidays. For care in my home, I only live about five minutes from work, making it easy for me to check on animals during the day. For care in your home, I bring my own dog with me overnight. She is good with other animals. I am currently home full time for the summer. I spend a lot of time outside and love to take dogs for walks. I am also happy to chill inside and relax and give scritches. In my home, I have a secure fenced yard outside and a large crate available inside. At others’ homes I am respectful of my surroundings and treat all animals and property with great care.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Escondido
Talia was amazing. We needed someone last minute to do a drop in for our two dogs, and she delivered right away! She followed our instructions about what to expect with our dogs, as they are very high maintenance. We enjoyed all the photos as well, and from the looks of it, our dogs liked her too! We would definitely be using Talia again!

Heather did a great job taking care of our senior kitty! She was communicative and took care of everything we needed while we were out of town on a week long work trip. Moonbeam is a shy cat and usually doesn't like strangers, but it's a testament to Heather's character that Moonbeam came out to say hello and allowed her pets and brushes!

Great communication and an instant positive connection with the dogs! She was amazing and I didn’t have any second thoughts or stress knowing my dogs were in such good hands. I highly recommend Jacqueline if you want a caring, punctual, and responsible dog sitter who is capable of handling any and all challenges thrown her way!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
