About: I grew up on a farm and have always loved animals. I have taken care of different animals since I was a little girl. I have a lot of experience with large and small animals. I work full time but I am available in the evening as well as some mornings before work. I usually have open availability on the weekends. I have a beautiful cat currently, who is very spoiled at my house. We love being active outside and playing with toys at home. I am a very active person myself, which is why I enjoying walking dogs so much.

About: I have tons of experience with all kinds of animals. I have loved and cared for: -kittens, senior cats, and pregnant cats -puppies, senior dogs, and pregnant dogs I’ve also had birds, fish, and bunnies. I have also volunteered with horses and other farm animals, although I’ve never personally owned any. I am currently a college student and a manager at an ice cream shop. I’m looking to help my community and fill my time! I work most days but, most of my classes are online. I am willing to be flexible! I am very particular when it comes to client care. I don’t believe you can “spoil” an animal because they’re our babies! Let’s take care of them the best we can together. Any requests for pet care are fine by me as long as the animal is safe and happy! My animals(I have 3 dogs and 2 cats) all get along well, are fed well, and regularly see a vet.
“Great communication and an instant positive connection with the dogs! She was amazing and I didn’t have any second thoughts or stress knowing my dogs were in such good hands. I highly recommend Jacqueline if you want a caring, punctual, and responsible dog sitter who is capable of handling any and all challenges thrown her way!”

About: I am lifelong animal lover, experienced pet sitter, and proud cat mom. I’m a current graduate student new to the San Diego area, with over 10 years of experience caring for pets of all kinds. As a fellow pet parent, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust. I’m reliable, attentive, and committed to making your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits into my routine seamlessly! As a graduate student with a flexible schedule, I’m able to plan my day around the needs of the pets I care for. Whether it's early morning feedings, midday walks, or evening check-ins, I have the availability to be present and consistent. As a reliable pet sitter with many years of experience, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for every pet I care for. While I’m currently unable to offer in-home boarding, I’m happy to care for pets in their own home where they feel most secure and at ease. I follow each pet's routine closely and will gladly provide updates so you can feel confident they’re in good hands while you’re away.
“Amazing!! Definitely will be using them again for their wonderful service and personable personalities! Literally the ONLY reason I’d consider not giving them a 5/5 is so they won’t get so booked up that they couldn’t watch my cat again.”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my entire life and have hands-on experience caring for both small and large dogs. Before moving to Escondido, I regularly watched and walked dogs in my apartment complex, which gave me experience managing different temperaments in shared living environments. I’ve rescued and cared for several dogs, which has given me a strong ability to recognize and respond to the needs of anxious or stressed pups. I currently work in the pet service industry, so animal care and safety are always top of mind, and I have access to trusted pet care professionals whenever needed. Your dog will be cared for with patience, attentiveness, and lots of love. I work from home full-time, so your pup will always have company, attention, and plenty of belly rubs throughout the day. Dogs are included in my daily routine with regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and rest periods that match their energy level and needs. I’m happy to follow your dog’s established feeding, walking, and medication schedule to keep things consistent and stress-free. If there are ever any schedule changes, they will always be communicated well in advance. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time and two friendly, well-socialized dogs who love having new friends around. I always supervise interactions to ensure everyone feels comfortable. If your dog is anxious, shy, or prefers their own space, I can easily block off portions of my home to provide a quiet, secure area just for them. My goal is to create a calm, safe environment where every dog feels at ease and cared for.
“Ms. Ana was so sweet, gentle and loving with my babies. Ana was on time for every drop in, she played with them, gave them snuggles and reassurance that mama would be home. I 10000% will use Ms. Ana again. We hit the jackpot ♥️”

About: I have a deep love for animals and specialize in premium Estate & Multi-Pet Care. While I provide patient, heartfelt care for dogs of all ages, my expertise goes much further. I am highly experienced in managing households with diverse pets: including cats, farm animals (chickens), and exotics (turtles, lizards). I understand the logistics of running a large property and ensuring every single animal gets individualized attention. What sets me apart is my calm presence, emotional sensitivity, and total reliability. My goal is to give you absolute peace of mind: your home will be perfectly secure, and all your pets will feel safe, understood, and loved like family. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine. As an independent professional, I divide my time between home and pet sitting, managing projects for my house-painting business, and doing some local deliveries during the day. Because I control my own schedule, I stay flexible, return home for lunch, and remain nearby throughout the day. In the evenings, I am always in for the night, so your pets will have plenty of company, care, and attention when they need it most. My goal is to keep their routine consistent, make them feel safe and loved, and give you peace of mind knowing both your pets and your home are being cared for with respect and responsibility. I offer both in-home pet sitting and boarding. In your home, I keep your pets’ routine familiar and consistent while respecting your space, following instructions closely, keeping things clean and secure, and sending photo updates. I can also help with basic home care, such as mail/packages and plant care. For boarding in my home, I provide a calm, clean, and safe environment and only host one family’s pets at a time. In both cases, my priority is your pets’ comfort, safety, and routine.
About: I love dogs and cats! I own one of each, and have fostered about forty. I have learned great leash-training skills, and behavior management of fearful dogs to help them feel more comfortable. I am fit and enjoy exercise, so I am happy to take your dog on long walks or even hikes! I can also administer treats on a walk if a dog needs some leash-training. Most importantly, I will treat your pup with kindness and affection. I am a teacher, so I have a lot of availability during the summer and holidays. For care in my home, I only live about five minutes from work, making it easy for me to check on animals during the day. For care in your home, I bring my own dog with me overnight. She is good with other animals. I am currently home full time for the summer. I spend a lot of time outside and love to take dogs for walks. I am also happy to chill inside and relax and give scritches. In my home, I have a secure fenced yard outside and a large crate available inside. At others’ homes I am respectful of my surroundings and treat all animals and property with great care.

I had an amazing experience with B this past weekend while I was at Coachella. She was incredibly attentive, clearly cared about the little details, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She sent lots of great photos of my cats, which I loved, and kept consistent communication the entire time. It’s such a relief knowing they were in such good hands. I would absolutely book with her again, highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
