Emily is a sweet young lady who immediately connected with our dog. She took him on several walks and he loved every one of them. She communicated well with pictures and a route of the walk so you know exactly where they went. We are looking forward to having her also dog sit for us in the future.

About: I love dogs and cats! I own one of each, and have fostered about forty. I have learned great leash-training skills, and behavior management of fearful dogs to help them feel more comfortable. I am fit and enjoy exercise, so I am happy to take your dog on long walks or even hikes! I can also administer treats on a walk if a dog needs some leash-training. Most importantly, I will treat your pup with kindness and affection. I am a teacher, so I have a lot of availability during the summer and holidays. For care in my home, I only live about five minutes from work, making it easy for me to check on animals during the day. For care in your home, I bring my own dog with me overnight. She is good with other animals. I am currently home full time for the summer. I spend a lot of time outside and love to take dogs for walks. I am also happy to chill inside and relax and give scritches. In my home, I have a secure fenced yard outside and a large crate available inside. At others’ homes I am respectful of my surroundings and treat all animals and property with great care.

About: Pets deserve the best! Grew up surrounded by all types of pets, such as dogs, cats, turtles, and hamsters. Have had a cat of my own for 6 years, and I've constantly looked after my sister's dog since he was a puppy. I was the animal-obsessed one in my family, constantly taking in strays. I am a student at a University and have class on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. However, I am free on those days after 5 pm. On Monday, Wednesday, and the weekend. I am free at any hour. I give my full attention to the animal when I am with them and treat them as my own. I am always sure the animal is comfortable before anything. I love to treat other people's pets as my own, and know when to give them their space. Am respectful of others' homes and careful not to disturb space. Instructions are easy for me to follow, and I like to send updates with photos of your fur baby.

About: Hi! My name is Nadia, and I’m a graduate student in School Psychology with a background in education, behavioral support, and caregiving. I’ve spent years working with children, families, and individuals with diverse needs, which has helped me develop patience, reliability, and a calm, attentive approach in all situations. As a lifelong animal lover and pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. Whether your pet needs a leisurely walk, playtime, companionship, or extra patience and care, I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats of various sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’m happy to follow specific routines, administer basic medications, provide regular updates and photos, and ensure your pet receives individualized attention. My goal is to treat every pet as if they were my own and give you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring and dependable hands. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I am currently off for the summer break and have a very open schedule. I am ready to fit in time with your pets on your schedule. I take pet safety very seriously and always follow the owner’s instructions and routines closely. During each visit, I ensure pets have fresh food and water, a safe and secure environment, and the attention and exercise they need. I will be sure to carefully monitor pets for any changes in behavior, appetite, energy level, or signs of illness and will communicate any concerns promptly. I also make sure doors, gates, and fences are secure before and after walks or outdoor time to prevent escapes. I want to help pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved in their own homes while giving owners peace of mind through regular updates and photos.

About: What sets me apart is that I’ve grown up around animals my whole life. Dogs have always been a part of my family, and I’ve had firsthand experience caring for them day to day—not just feeding and walking, but giving them attention, patience, and affection. I’ve also owned a cat, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had, so I’m very comfortable caring for both dogs and cats. I recently moved into my own apartment with my girlfriend, and while I don’t currently have pets of my own, I truly miss having animals around. Pet sitting allows me to give that love and care again while providing a safe, calm, and attentive environment for your pet. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and at home while you’re away. My schedule works very well for pet care. I work split shifts, which allows me to be available in the afternoons for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins. I also return home in the evenings, so pets are never left alone for long periods. Additionally, my girlfriend works from home full-time, so there is almost always someone present to provide supervision, attention, and care throughout the day. This setup creates a calm, safe, and consistent environment for pets. I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved, whether they’re in my home or their own. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I take time to build trust with every pet, especially those who may be shy or anxious, and I give them plenty of attention and affection. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family and are never left alone for long periods. My home is calm, clean, and pet-friendly, and there is always supervision throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure pets stay comfortable by sticking to what they already know. I believe consistency, patience, and genuine love for animals are the most important parts of great pet care.

About: i have 3 animals as of writing this. 1 senior dog, 1 kitten and 1 cat. they all have wildly different personalities and health needs which i have no problem meeting at all. my pit needs diet restrictions, and my late german shepard coyote mix needed gentle emotional help as she had trauma from her past family, my male tuxedo kitten needs to learn to chill because hed set off a bomb then eat trash if he could, and my runt calico is very picky about what she eats and when you can touch her. all of this i happily handle as i pride myself on knowing animal body language and making sure they get the best care they can based on what they need. I am a full time university student so my schedule will change 2x a year BUT i am very flexible despite that. I make time for my own animals so i can absolutely make time for another’s animals to put your mind at ease. I provide my bets with necessary diets they each need, comfort they all need or want, play they need or want, and do my best to read body language to figure out something i cant immediately tell. I always have food and water out, multiple beds and blankets everywhere for them to sleep, and multiple treats to give when I come home to them.

About: I have tons of experience with all kinds of animals. I have loved and cared for: -kittens, senior cats, and pregnant cats -puppies, senior dogs, and pregnant dogs I’ve also had birds, fish, and bunnies. I have also volunteered with horses and other farm animals, although I’ve never personally owned any. I am currently a college student and a manager at an ice cream shop. I’m looking to help my community and fill my time! I work most days but, most of my classes are online. I am willing to be flexible! I am very particular when it comes to client care. I don’t believe you can “spoil” an animal because they’re our babies! Let’s take care of them the best we can together. Any requests for pet care are fine by me as long as the animal is safe and happy! My animals(I have 3 dogs and 2 cats) all get along well, are fed well, and regularly see a vet.

We had Kristen house sit for us and take care of our Golden Retriever. She was great - good communication in the planning stages and flexible with our plans. When we were gone she sent lots of photos and updates, which we appreciated. On our return, Kristen had stripped the bed and washed her bedding. Wow! We felt completely comfortable leaving our baby in her care and I wouldn't hesitate to use her again.

About: Hi! I’m a dependable and caring dog lover who understands how important it is to feel confident leaving your dog with someone you trust. I’ll treat your pups like family and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs, including senior dogs and pets who may need extra patience or attention. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions, giving medications if needed, and keeping owners updated with photos and messages. I know every pup is different, so I try to match their routine and make their stay as stress free and fun as possible, whether that means playtime, walks, cuddles, or just a calm environment to relax in. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities, and I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family member! I'm mainly a stay at home mom while working remotely a few hours/week so my schedule is very flexible! I'm available for doggy day care, boarding, drop-ins and walks! Our home's living area is a bit small so I understand if that does not work for the bigger dogs! But, as long as they don't mind, we don't mind! We have a fenced yard with a grassy area where your dog can relax outside. There is a small doggy door where the smaller dogs can have independant access to the yard. Larger dogs would not fit through the doggy door but since I'm home for most of the day, I will be able to provide outside access whenever needed. I have one small dog name Leo who is 9 years old. He is a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix. He is mellow and prefers to keep to himself. I can separate Leo from your dog if needed! Your pup's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand how important it is to leave your pup with someone you can trust, and I do everything I can to create a calm, safe, and loving environment. I'm happy to follow any specific instructions, just let me know!

So grateful for the care for Luca, her patience and kindness with my dogs needs. She handled everything with such patience. Thank you! 🙏🏻

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
