About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 20 years of pet sitting experience and a lifetime of caring for dogs. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have my own pup, so I truly understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, and loving to care for your pet. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, companionship while you’re away, or extra love and attention, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m experienced with different personalities, energy levels, and routines, and I’m happy to follow any specific instructions to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved! I work from home on my own flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care, walks, and drop-in visits throughout the day. I’m able to be reliable, attentive, and flexible to your pet’s routine and needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet and your home, and I treat both with the same care and respect I would my own. I make it a priority to follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), and any special instructions to help them feel safe and comfortable. I also love providing updates and photos for peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I started dog walking and pet sitting 5 years ago. Desiring a dog of my own, my private yoga and Pilates clients started saying "watch mine!" and quickly I became booked for dog sitting most weekends and almost all summer. I grew up with horses and three dogs so I am very comfortable around animals of all kinds. A former Division I volleyball player, I'm active and love taking a daily walk or two listening to a podcast, so I might as well bring a dog along! I'm single and do not have children so my schedule is flexible. I do work in person in an office in Cardiff but am able to care for dogs before work, at lunch, and after work. My weekends are free. I do not care for pets in my own home but am happy to care for them in their own homes whether it is coming over for a visit or walk or dogsitting/catsitting and staying the night.
About: Hi! I’ve been around animals my whole life—growing up with both cats and dogs taught me early how to care for pets with love and patience. Over the years, I’ve been the go-to sitter for my friends whenever they go out of town, whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, or just making sure their pets feel comfortable and cared for. I understand that every pet has its own personality and needs, and I always do my best to match their energy and routines. Whether your furry friend is energetic and playful or more laid-back and shy, I’ve got them covered! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits. I’m available for regular walks, drop-ins, or extended care depending on your pet’s needs. I keep my availability up to date and do my best to be reliable and consistent, so you can count on me to stick to your pet’s routine. I’m also happy to coordinate a schedule that works best for you. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with respect and follow all instructions closely—from feeding routines and walk preferences to any special needs or behaviors. I take extra care to ensure doors, gates, and crates are always secure, and I never leave pets unattended longer than agreed. I stay attentive during walks and in the home to keep your pet safe at all times. You can expect clear communication and regular updates, so you always know how your pet is doing and can feel confident they’re in good hands.

About: With a lifelong love for animals, I bring years of hands-on experience to pet care. Since I was 11, I’ve been pet sitting for neighbors, walking and caring for their pets like my own. I have a dog and a cat at home, and I understand how much pets mean to their families. My goal is to provide them with all the love, attention, and care they need while you’re away. My schedule is pretty flexible, which gives me plenty of time to care for pets and give them the attention they need. I’m available on both weekdays and weekends, and I can usually adjust my schedule depending on the pet’s routine and the owner’s needs. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and any house rules. I also make sure they get plenty of attention and are never left in an unsafe situation.
About: I’ve had a dog in my life since I was born, grew up with 3 dogs and have taken care of them throughout my life. My father trained many dogs as well as entering into multiple dog shows. I’m currently working remotely so I have pretty much unlimited time to care for pets whether that’s at a house or taking them to the beach. I have two dogs as of now so I know how to feed, cage, and support the dogs throughout the stay with them. As well as taking them on walks when needed.
About: I've been around dogs my entire life and grew up with a Shih Tzu as part of the family. Caring for dogs has always come naturally to me, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals of all ages and personalities. What sets me apart is that I'm reliable, communicative, and attentive. I understand that every dog has different needs, whether that's a leisurely stroll, extra exercise, or simply patience and encouragement. I'll treat your dog with the same care and attention I'd want for my own, and I'll always keep you updated with photos and notes after our walks. I'm a local real estate agent, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available for dog walks and drop-in visits throughout the week. I love that my career gives me the opportunity to spend time outdoors, stay active, and meet members of the community. Because I manage my own schedule, I'm able to be reliable, responsive, and accommodate a variety of walking times. Whether your dog needs a midday break while you're at work or a longer walk to burn off some energy, I'm happy to help. Your dog's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. During walks, I'll make sure your dog is securely leashed, avoid unsafe situations, and tailor the pace and length of the walk to their age, energy level, and needs. When visiting your home, I'll treat your space with the same respect and care I would my own. I'll carefully follow any instructions regarding feeding, water, medications, routines, or house access, and I'll always make sure your pet is comfortable before I leave. I know it takes trust to leave your pet in someone else's care, so I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident knowing your dog is happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Crista was awesome! She took our puppy and my parents dog for an extended walk, sending great pictures of them mid-adventure. It’s not easy to walk the two of them, but she did great. Would absolutely book again!”

“Julie was GREAT! She is everything you want in a dog walker. She walked and played with my puppy Piper. Julie was very responsive, accommodating and you could tell a true dog lover. She sent several photos where Piper was happy and playing with her toys. I will definitely use Julie again to watch Piper. Thanks Julie!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have experience dog sitting for my neighbors, and more recently, watching my parents’ new puppy. I love being around animals and will give your pet the same love and care I would give my own. I have a full-time job during the week and am fully remote. My apartment doesn’t allow pets, but I’m happy to stay at your home and/or make frequent visits for feeding, bathroom breaks, playtime, walks, etc. :) I’m happy to stay at your home and follow any rules and/or instructions you have! You can trust me to keep your pet safe and provide a loving environment while you’re gone.

Grace has been walking my two hyper and (sometimes) reactive dogs on hour long walks 1x per week. She’s been great with them, and they both warmed up to her so quickly! Grace is always prompt with communicating and her schedule timing. We will definitely be continuing to work with Grace and I’d recommend her to others, too. Thank you, Grace!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
