Recently, I had major surgery and found myself unable to take my pup for walks. Found Sara and I'm so happy that I did! Ziggy absolutely loves her! He gets so excited when she picks him up for walks. Thanks for helping out over the last couple months.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for my entire life! I’ve had 6 dogs of my own. I started watching friends, family, and neighbors' dogs at just 10 years old, and at 16, I started watching cats as well. I’d love to meet your pets and give them a home away from home :) I would love to spend all day with your pets. I work a part-time job where I will occasionally cover 4-hour shifts, but that’s the only time I’m away from the house. I would love to discuss what you love for your pets, whether it is car rides, walks, runs, etc. I have a large fenced backyard with plenty of space. I’m ready for all the energy or no energy at all, and I’ll be sure to follow any specified requests on how I can make your pet's time away from you and/or home the best time!

About: Experience with dog care specifically has occurred throughout my entire life from raising my own puppy now to showing dogs as a child. I lived on a ranch ranging in care of small and large animals from quail, rabbits to horses and cows. I have worked with dogs that range in behavior and level of care. Currently, my schedule would have no impact by taking on the care of pets! Luckily for me I am able to commit a great amount of time to both sitting and walking pets during this time. I will be able to care for pets in clients home with care, responsibility and overall caution of your space and your pets space. I am able to follow instructions accurately and will provide updates, pictures and videos of your pets stay away.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have always had dogs of my own, giving me years of hands on experience caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Over the years, I’ve cared for friends’ and family members’ dogs through walks, drop-in visits, feeding, and companionship while they’re away. I also grew up with two cats, so I’m comfortable providing cat care, including feeding, litter box cleaning, check-ins, and companionship. While I’m most experienced with dogs, I truly enjoy caring for both dogs and cats. In 2025, I launched WalkWell, a local pet care business focused on reliable, personalized dog walking and pet care services in La Jolla. I currently offer solo and group walks, drop-in visits for dogs and cats, and customized care based on each pet’s unique needs. I’m very active and love spending time outdoors, so I enjoy making sure dogs get the exercise, fresh air, and attention they need whether that’s a neighborhood walk, beach stroll, or simply some extra movement during the day. I understand how important trust and communication are when someone is caring for your pet, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. Pet care is built into my weekly routine through my business, WalkWell. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to provide weekday walks, drop in visits, and recurring care for both dogs and cats. I’m available for morning, midday, afternoon, and select evening visits, and I make sure each pet gets personalized attention based on their needs. Safety, trust, and communication are very important to me when caring for someone’s pet. For walks and drop in visits in a client’s home, I make sure pets stay on their normal routine, including walks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, medication (if needed), and plenty of attention. I’m respectful of each client’s home and provide updates/photos so owners feel comfortable while they’re away. In my home, pets are treated like family and safety always comes first. I have a dog of my own, so if I ever accept daycare or boarding requests, it would only be for pets that seem like a good fit, are well-behaved, and get along well with my black lab. I prefer to do a meet and greet beforehand whenever possible to make sure everyone is comfortable.

About: My love for animals started early. I raised two cats from kittens and had an adorable mini poodle-terrier mix for two years. I regularly walk and care for my partner’s two large dogs and two cats, and I’ve done overnight stays for a friend’s puppy. Most recently I’ve been attending puppy yoga, because honestly any excuse to be around animals is a good one! I’m attentive, reliable, and treat every pet like my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m available for dog walks and drop-in visits on weekdays and weekends, with flexible morning and afternoon slots. I keep a consistent schedule so pets get reliable, timely care every visit. Since I come to you, my focus is making your pet feel safe and comfortable in their own home, where they’re happiest. I follow your routines closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, walk routes, or specific instructions. I treat every home with respect and send updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I have been dog sitting for at least twenty years now. I’ve always enjoyed it so much. I’m very fond of dogs and really any other animals. I’ve taken care of a range of dogs requiring all different types of attention. I’ve pretty much had a dog or several throughout my whole life and currently I don’t, so the dog sitting helps me get my dog fix. I love spending times with animals because they are so unconditionally loving and fun. I love to take them on adventures to the beach or in the mountains. I can also take care of other needs around the house, such as, watering plants, gathering mail, taking out the trash, and of course I will keep the house tidy, while you are away. Currently I am available full days to take care of your beloved pet/pets. I am new to the area and would love to be able to make some income doing something I love. I am very cautious and aware of my surroundings at all times and will be sure that your sweet animals will always be safe. I have a lot of experience with dogs and other pets and feel I sm very perceptive of animals in my care, people, and other animals.

About: I have more than ten year experience; I've taken care of pets since I was in middle school. Neighbors would trust me to walk their dogs after school and board them when they went on extended vacations. My two sisters each have a dog and I also care for them when they are away. I did assist in training them when they were puppies including commands and crate training. I have my own six year old rescue who is my baby! I have been walking and pet sitting on my days off as a nurse. I will be in between jobs in November and December and will have all the time to look after your furry friend I will be in between nursing jobs the months of November and December so I will have all the time to care for your furry friends. About: My private dog sitting includes up to two hours of daily, individualized behavioral training, integrated naturally into your dog’s routine. Unlike isolated training sessions in unfamiliar environments, where dogs are often overstimulated or stressed, this approach works within everyday life. As dogs settle into a calm, predictable routine, learning becomes natural, sustainable, and far more effective. This integrated format allows for deeper behavioral change and, in practice, delivers significantly more value than traditional hourly training sessions. Daily training focuses on core foundations such as: - emotional regulation and stress stabilization - attention and engagement - calm obedience and responsiveness - impulse control - confidence in everyday situations All of this is included in the cost of boarding, no separate training fees, sessions, or add-ons. All work is adapted to your dog’s age, temperament, energy level, and emotional state. I’m a professional dog trainer and canine behavior specialist with over 16 years of experience working with animals. I provide private, one-on-one care only, one dog at a time, allowing me to fully focus on your dog’s behavior, routine, and well-being. My approach is rooted in canine psychology and body language. I pay close attention to early stress signals and adjust the environment and interactions before tension builds. This makes my care especially suitable for anxious, sensitive, senior, or behaviorally complex dogs. I’m experienced in administering medications and injections and following detailed care instructions for dogs requiring medical support. Dogs in my care stay in a calm, low-stimulation, secure environment. Walks are always done on leash or harness, routines are predictable, and no force-based methods or crates are used. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates and clear communication throughout your dog’s stay. I work from home and structure my schedule around the animals in my care. This allows me to be consistently present, attentive, and responsive throughout the day, rather than fitting pet care around other commitments. Daily routines are adapted to each pet’s needs, from extended walks and outdoor time (up to several hours a day for high-energy dogs), to structured play, training, rest, or calm companionship for pets who prefer a quieter pace. I’m available for pets who require close supervision, emotional support, or simply steady human presence. Whether a pet needs active engagement or a calm, reassuring environment, my day is organized to provide exactly that. Because I spend most of my time at home, pets are never left unattended and are continuously observed, supported, and cared for in a predictable, low-stress setting. I live in a quiet, spacious 2-bedroom apartment near the ocean in La Jolla, designed to provide a calm, low-stimulation environment for pets. The building has an elevator, which makes it especially suitable for senior dogs, dogs with mobility limitations. I only accept one pet at a time, ensuring full attention, close supervision, and a predictable routine. There are no other animals in the home, so your pet remains the sole focus of care and never has to compete for space or attention. Daily routines are kept as close as possible to what your pet is used to, including feeding schedules, walks, rest periods, and preferred levels of interaction. Whether a pet needs gentle activity, structured outdoor time, or simply calm companionship, the environment is adapted accordingly. I provide regular photo and video updates, so you stay fully informed and connected throughout your pet’s stay. Transparency and communication are a core part of my care.

About: Headline: Experienced Dog Owner & Reliable Walker in La Jolla 🐾 Bio: Hi, I’m Pablo— I love dogs and a lot of hands-on experience with different breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. My wife and I currently have a Catahoula puppy named Buck who’s learning fast and keeping us on our toes. Before that, we raised an incredible dog named Monday — a true “supermutt” mix (Catahoula, tree-walking coonhound, Great Pyrenees, and more). She came with her challenges early on, but through consistent training and patience, she grew into one of the most loyal, gentle companions I’ve ever known. That experience taught me a lot about working with dogs who need structure, attention, and trust-building — not just a quick walk around the block. We also have a rescue mix (Border Collie / Heeler / Pitbull) who we found in an abandoned gas station in Arkansas, so I’m very comfortable with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds — including high-energy breeds and those still building confidence. What you can expect: Reliable, on-time walks Clear communication and quick responses Photo + updates after each visit Attentive care based on your dog’s personality and needs Experience with strong, high-energy and working breeds Whether your dog needs to burn energy, stay on a routine, or just get some extra attention while you’re busy, I’ll make sure they’re well taken care of. Happy to do a meet & greet — feel free to reach out anytime. I’m an independent contractor, so I have a pretty flexible schedule throughout the day. My work meetings are usually short (around an hour or less) and spread out, which makes it easy for me to plan walks and visits consistently. I’m available for morning, midday, and evening walks, and I can usually accommodate last-minute requests if needed. I keep things simple: your dog’s safety, comfort, and routine come first. In your home: I stick closely to whatever routine your dog is used to so things feel normal and low-stress. I follow instructions carefully (feeding, meds, training cues, etc.) and I’m always mindful about doors, gates, and anything that could put a dog at risk. Walks are always controlled and intentional. I pay attention to surroundings, other dogs, and your dog’s behavior the whole time. Some dogs need to burn energy, others just want a steady pace — I adjust to what’s best for them. I’ve spent a lot of time with high-energy breeds, puppies, and rescues, so I’m comfortable handling different personalities and knowing when a dog needs structure vs. space. You’ll get updates and photos so you always know how things went. I’m also easy to reach if anything comes up. I’m respectful, clean, and make sure everything’s locked up and left the way you expect.
