About: I’m a lifelong animal lover and a proud dog and cat mom, so I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets. I love long walks, spending time outdoors, and giving pets plenty of attention, affection, and playtime. I’ll treat your pets like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. About: I’ve always loved being around dogs and have lots of experience caring for them. I walk and care for my own dogs regularly, and I’ve also helped take care of family friends’ and friends’ dogs. I’m comfortable with walking, feeding, playing with them, and making sure they’re happy and well cared for. I’m currently a student at San Diego State University, so I am taking a few classes but my schedule is pretty flexible. I’m mostly free all day on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I’m available later in the afternoon and evenings, which gives me plenty of time for walks, check-ins, and pet care. For Safety, trust & environment: “I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I follow the owner’s instructions closely and make sure their normal routine is kept as much as possible. I’m attentive during walks, feeding, and playtime, and I’ll always treat your pet like they’re my own.”

Elizabeth was amazing! We had her walk our Belgian Malinois for the week of Christmas. We picked her because having large dogs herself we knew she would be comfortable with our Jax. She is definitely a dog lover and Jax loved his walk/run with her every morning. She is very sweet and easy to work with. Loved seeing her smiling face every day. Thank you Elizabeth!

About: Hi there, I’m Kelsey! I’ve always been a huge animal person and genuinely believe life is better with a dog or cat around. I have plenty of hands-on experience caring for pets, from regularly watching friends’ and family members’ dogs and cats to having dogs of my own over the years. I’m comfortable with everything from walks, playtime, sleepovers, feeding and cuddles to sticking to specific routines and making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable while you’re away. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so I treat every animal like they’re my own. I work fully remotely on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, so I’m available during the day on those days for walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime and keeping your pet company. I’m in the office on Tuesdays, but I’m available for pet care before and after work that day as well. I’m also available in the evenings and on weekends, and I can provide boarding in my home. I enjoy getting outside and staying active, so walks and playtime are a natural part of my routine. I’m happy to work around each pet’s individual schedule and make sure they get the attention, exercise and care they’re used to while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for a pet in my home or at a client’s home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable and well cared for. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medication if needed, playtime and plenty of attention. For boarding in my home, I’m happy to accommodate a pet’s usual routine and make them feel at home with lots of walks, playtime and company throughout the day. I’m also comfortable caring for pets in their own homes, where I’ll make sure they’re fed, exercised and given plenty of attention while keeping their space clean and secure.

I am very active and more than willing to run with your dog if needed! I work for Rover because I genuinely enjoy spending time with your animals, and I hope to alleviate all worries or stressors that may arise when you have to be separated from them. About: I am new to Rover but I have been that ‘go-to’ person to pet sit for friends & family and I have had dogs throughout my life. I recently lost my fur baby due to cancer after 14 yrs. Friends & Family have trusted me with their pets for walks, pet sitting and feeding. I love puppies to senior dogs. I will take care of your fur baby like it’s my own. I’m currently working from home part time so I have plenty of time to play, walk or feed your pups. I am available for walks or doggy day care Monday to Friday. About: I have always been the biggest animal lover. I am vegan for ethical reasons! I used to volunteer for the Paws Adoption Center in Chicago. There, I was involved with the community outreach team, and I’d help put together adoption packets and pamphlets. I mostly spent my time doing physical labor— that is, walking the dogs, cleaning up after them, etc. In San Diego, I live with my roommate’s friendly little Maltese dog in a pet-friendly apartment. Growing up, my family has had a total of four dogs. Three of them we adopted about 15 years ago, and I witnessed them through their teething process and helped potty trained them. A couple of years ago, we welcomed a new, adult dog into our home in Chicago. During winter break of 2017, I successfully taught her several new tricks. In addition, family members and friends have asked me to pet-sit during special events or lengthy vacations. I am very willing to work with new dogs with different personalities who may require special care. My schedule is completely open, and my apartment is a comfortable, clean, and spacious place for dogs to stay in. I am especially willing to travel to your home if that happens to be your preferred option. I am looking forward to accommodating dogs to their own special needs. I am working part-time and can check on your dog at least every six hours! Many days, I only work four hour shifts, so I can probably check on them even more often! I am very neat and clean! I will treat your space with respect the way I do mine. Let me know which spaces your pet is allowed to go into!

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
