About: I’m excited to meet and care for your dogs - open to walks, house visits and more. My first friend in the playpen was our family dog. I’ve since had four of my own and miss them - angels on earth. I’d be honored to shower your fur babies with love. Very flexible schedule. Retired and volunteer for Hospice part time. I’m open to all days of the week with some advance notice and can be spontaneous too. Very responsible and careful to protect your fur babies like they were my own. I am extremely careful with doors, locks, crates, gates, etc…I have lots of experience with needy dogs. :)

About: I’ve had the joy of caring for both cats and dogs since childhood, as a dedicated animal lover, which has given me years of hands-on experience in understanding their unique needs and personalities. From playful puppies and kittens to senior pets, I’ve learned to provide the right balance of care, attention, and love. As an animal lover, I’m familiar with feeding schedules, grooming, administering medicine, and ensuring pets stay healthy and happy. My experience has taught me how to read animal behavior, making sure they feel safe and comfortable, whether at home or on walks. I currently work a part-time job, which allows me to have a flexible schedule. This flexibility enables me to accommodate various pet care needs and ensure that your furry friends receive the attention and care they deserve, whether it’s for daily walks, feeding, or playtime. I care for pets by providing a safe and comfortable environment, whether in my home or the client’s. At my place, I create cozy spaces for relaxation and engage them in playtime. In the client’s home, I follow their routine, ensure proper feeding and medication, and offer companionship and exercise. My goal is to make sure pets feel loved and secure, no matter where they are.

About: My private dog sitting includes up to two hours of daily, individualized behavioral training, integrated naturally into your dog’s routine. Unlike isolated training sessions in unfamiliar environments, where dogs are often overstimulated or stressed, this approach works within everyday life. As dogs settle into a calm, predictable routine, learning becomes natural, sustainable, and far more effective. This integrated format allows for deeper behavioral change and, in practice, delivers significantly more value than traditional hourly training sessions. Daily training focuses on core foundations such as: - emotional regulation and stress stabilization - attention and engagement - calm obedience and responsiveness - impulse control - confidence in everyday situations All of this is included in the cost of boarding, no separate training fees, sessions, or add-ons. All work is adapted to your dog’s age, temperament, energy level, and emotional state. I’m a professional dog trainer and canine behavior specialist with over 16 years of experience working with animals. I provide private, one-on-one care only, one dog at a time, allowing me to fully focus on your dog’s behavior, routine, and well-being. My approach is rooted in canine psychology and body language. I pay close attention to early stress signals and adjust the environment and interactions before tension builds. This makes my care especially suitable for anxious, sensitive, senior, or behaviorally complex dogs. I’m experienced in administering medications and injections and following detailed care instructions for dogs requiring medical support. Dogs in my care stay in a calm, low-stimulation, secure environment. Walks are always done on leash or harness, routines are predictable, and no force-based methods or crates are used. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates and clear communication throughout your dog’s stay. I work from home and structure my schedule around the animals in my care. This allows me to be consistently present, attentive, and responsive throughout the day, rather than fitting pet care around other commitments. Daily routines are adapted to each pet’s needs, from extended walks and outdoor time (up to several hours a day for high-energy dogs), to structured play, training, rest, or calm companionship for pets who prefer a quieter pace. I’m available for pets who require close supervision, emotional support, or simply steady human presence. Whether a pet needs active engagement or a calm, reassuring environment, my day is organized to provide exactly that. Because I spend most of my time at home, pets are never left unattended and are continuously observed, supported, and cared for in a predictable, low-stress setting. I live in a quiet, spacious 2-bedroom apartment near the ocean in La Jolla, designed to provide a calm, low-stimulation environment for pets. The building has an elevator, which makes it especially suitable for senior dogs, dogs with mobility limitations. I only accept one pet at a time, ensuring full attention, close supervision, and a predictable routine. There are no other animals in the home, so your pet remains the sole focus of care and never has to compete for space or attention. Daily routines are kept as close as possible to what your pet is used to, including feeding schedules, walks, rest periods, and preferred levels of interaction. Whether a pet needs gentle activity, structured outdoor time, or simply calm companionship, the environment is adapted accordingly. I provide regular photo and video updates, so you stay fully informed and connected throughout your pet’s stay. Transparency and communication are a core part of my care.

About: Hello! I'm Ari - I have loved animals my whole life and have had pets (dogs, cats and ferrets) since I was kid! I can't wait to meet your fur babies and provide them a safe, happy and loving home while you're away. In college, I was a “foster parent” for my local animal shelter. I currently dog sit for my sisters and friends. After the loss of our senior dog, Mr. Louis, my son and I are eager to care for and share love with more pups. My goal is to provide the highest quality of pet care. I always happy to send daily pictures of your pet while you are away, and of course give them lots of love! Please feel free to reach out to me at any time with questions or feedback on how I can better serve you! Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I currently work from home full time so I am home majority of the day which means I am have plenty of time to play and care for your pet. On weekends I am happy to take pups on hikes or a quiet cafe depending on their personality. I always take your pets personality/ needs into consideration. For our more active fur babies we will be staying active and well exercised by going on multiple walks and play adventures throughout the day. For fur babies that prefer a calm quiet environment, we will go on quiet strolls and have a calm indoor space as well. Please let me know if your pets have any food allergies, medical conditions, medications, or dietary restrictions. It is helpful to know if your pet is an "escape artist" who likes to explore so I can best keep him or her safe. I want to provide the highest level of care to your furry family member! Knowing the activities and play your pet most enjoys allows me to customize exercise and play so your pet has a fun experience!

About: I’ve owned big dogs and small dogs and even cats most of my life! As a hobby I once trained my own dogs for AKC obedience events and now that I’m retired, I enjoy time well spent with our small Papillon dog, Daphne. I love pampering small pets but I’m also happy to check in on any well behaved pet for walks or potty breaks. With ample time to plan ahead, I can do most any schedule, as time allows. I’m looking to work with a few select clients, and specifically in the area of Bird Rock or La Jolla. My routine is flexible with proper and adequate planning ahead. I am at home a lot, working on projects that allow me to leave and come back to through out the week. I treat pets as one of the family. I communicate and acknowledge them upon entering their space (home). I am affectionate, loving and reassuring during my time with them. When leaving their space (home), I communicate directly that “I’m leaving now” and assure them with a physical touch (pet them) before walking out the door.

About: I have been entrusted to care for family friend’s and neighbor’s dogs for over 6 years now, for both long and short term stays. I also have a 3 year old husky of my own that I have personally trained to be the best little dog ever! I always want to treat other people’s sweet little fur babies just as I would my own. Currently, my schedule is very flexible so I can be of-service for walks, potty breaks, or overnight pet sitting whenever is needed. Arranging a weekly schedule for reoccurring care would be welcomed as well! In my home for my personal pet, I always make sure she is not left unattended for more than a few hours and attention when I am home is always important. Daily walks or park time are a must have in our home as well. As a husky owner I am always taking her on long walks/runs or with me to sports activities so I am more than happy to do the same for your active pets. We can tailor a “plan” that works best for your pet’s needs!

My mum called my first cat Honey because she thought it was funny to rhyme it with my name ;) I mostly work from home as a writer (trained as a psychologist) and am pretty flexible with deadlines etc. Happy to write from your home!
