About: My last dog, Arlo, was a jack Russell mix. I got him when he was eight months and he really was a handful. It was awesome! Some days especially in the beginning we were doing five or six walks a day. I lived at an RV resort at the time and it had a working farm. Our routine would give him tons of stimulation and socialization. Not only did he get to meet new dogs every day because of the campers, we also spent time with the farm animals like alpacas, goats, and horses. I was dedicated to making sure his needs were met as much as possible. He even learned how to ride on the golf cart. Sometimes I would put him on my lap so he could steer! The owners had dogs too so we would have daily play dates. Walking is a normal part of daily activity. I try to walk at least five or six miles a day if not more. This is why I want to walk your dog! It is win win. I am familiar and comfortable with verbal, non verbal and physical commands. On the walk I let the dog be a dog. I like to let them take a minute if they want to sniff something. I try to make the walk as fun, active, and engaging as possible. I lived in Colorado for a long time and was very active as a mountain climber and bike rider. If your dog requires different terrain I will go anywhere you want me to take them. I like to walk different routes if possible. If you want me to I can take your dog to the park, the trail, or the beach. I was a snowboard instructor for a few years and that taught me a lot of working with people on their level. That experience carried over into my dog walking. My friend took me to visit his cousin and they had four dogs. The dogs apparently take time to warm up to people but when I sat down all four of them sat around me like I was their owner. I have also watched almost every episode of the original dog whisperer series. If you have a high energy dog I can do longer walks if necessary. I have over 10 years of experience around pets and I worked in a boarding kennel. I am available last minute! I am currently working on writing a book and starting a business. I keep free time in the morning and after for walks. My schedule allows me to keep that time free. However you take care of your pet is how I do it. I believe it is very important for a pet to have a consistent routine so I try to mimic the owners routine as much as possible.

About: I have my own 2 yr old dog, who I have raised since he was a puppy. I’m very responsible and treat all pets like they are my own. You will never need to worry about your child, as I know how important communication, and following your detailed instructions are. Tell me what your pet loves! I work remote so I am very flexible when checking in on your pet. Full time job that is Remote M-F. I make my own schedule most of the time which will allow me to check in or watch your pet at anytime. I make sure to take my own pup on walks early AM. But happy to adjust to your pets needs I live near dog parks, i walk 10,000 steps a day, and my pup is very friendly. I’m always home. If you’d like your pet to not to be around my pup this is understandable and we can discuss this.

About: I’ve owned and cared for dogs my whole life, training my own from a young age. I’ve always been around animals, so I understand the work and attention it takes to make sure pets are well cared for, happy, and comfortable. Currently working from home and have a full available schedule to make sure I can be there for you and your pet while your away. I will make sure they stay comfortable and follow their usual routine. I provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and cuddles while keeping their space clean and safe. My goal is to make them feel loved and cared for, just like you would.

About: Even though I’m newer to Rover, animals have always been a huge part of my life! I’ve cared for my cat Luna for six years and my mom’s dog Brixton for two! As a babysitter I often care for families’ pets alongside their children, which has made me even more confident handling all kinds of animals! I’m currently enrolled in community college with all of my classes being online, which leaves my schedule to be super flexible/free! I’m also a super active person who loves to be outside, so dog walks/playtime are as much as a treat to me as they are to your pets!! I live in a cozy home with lots of nearby parks and walking trails, so your pup will get lots of outdoor time and exercise! While my backyard isn’t fenced, I always keep pets safe and supervised on walks or potty breaks.

About: Hello! My name is Mya and I absolutely love dogs. My favorite dog is your dog! I've always had dogs growing up and love to have them around. I live in Encinitas next to the beach with a private courtyard and lots of places to walk around! I understand every pet has different needs and I am happy to accommodate your doggie with any needs they may have. Updates and photos will be provided throughout the entire stay. I am also happy to do meet and greets before booking! I would be deeply honored if you trust me with a member of your family and I will treat them with the utmost kindness. Can’t wait to meet you both! 🤗 Schedule: I work full time currently, so I am unable to take weekday requests. However, I am free on the weekends and Friday nights for boarding, daycares, or walks. Environment: I live in a gated community with friendly neighbors and lots of space for your dog to play and be outside. I also have a spot for their doggie bed! I’m very attentive and set alarms for when we should go on walks or give medication. You will also receive pictures throughout the entire stay.

About: I have worked in a number of rescue facilities as well as loved 2 rescue dogs and a number of rescue cats myself. I am also currently an online teacher so I am available for whatever hours needed throughout days or evenings. My schedule is super adaptable for your needs and I am very communicative throughout the entire experience. I currently work online so I can be anywhere at any time for meeting pet care needs. I am hoping to fill my schedule and help out as much as possible. I offer in client's home care for pets by scheduling one day prior typically and arriving early to get set up or shown the routines. Care will vary based on what client's specific needs are, but I like to communicate, and operate above and beyond what client's expectations are. I know how I would want my furry kiddos treated so I won't treat yours with any less love or care.

About: I love meeting and walking new dogs! I have over 2 years of dog-walking experience. Rest assured that I can gently and confidently handle any dog from a Dachshund to a German Shepherd, and everything in between. Outside of Rover, I am a professional beach volleyball athlete, youth coach, and renewable energy professional. I am open to walking or running with your dog--just let me know what your pup needs! -Owen I am currently available weekday mornings and mid-day for walking your dog. I am also open to dog-sitting. At home, I take care of my cat, Ivy. At home I live in an apartment and care for my cat, Ivy, there. I am not going to offer boarding for other pets, so won't go into any more detail.

About: I've owned multiple breeds of dogs from overly energetic Jack Russels, to water-loving Huskies, to lap cuddling Maltese. I am excellent with dogs and would love to spend time with your fur baby. My specialty is tiring out active medium to large breed dogs, however I'm happy to tone it down to a stroll for your elderly or pocket-sized pup. Positive affirmations and personalized attention are a given as well! I am also a big gardener and am able to water and maintain your garden/indoor plants while you’re away as well. I have experience with caring for disabled dogs and for managing aggressive behaviors in dogs as well. I have full open availability for walks, dog park play sessions, hikes, beach outings and overnight stays. My dog can tag along or stay home depending on your preferences. I will treat your dog with as much care and love as I do my own girl, Chloe. It is a scary and daunting process to find and trust a pet sitter which I understand first-hand. I can assure you I am obsessed with dogs and would be honored to spend time with your fur babies.
