“In the days of people being flaky and irresponsible, what a relief and joy it is to have found Danielle!!! I knew from the initial prompt response from her that she was going to be a rare find!!! I have an 80 lb Pitbull that I pulled from Lancaster Animal Shelter in March. He is a great dog but strong and intimidating looking. I had a friend spending the night but I needed someone to walk him and hang out with him. He had so much fun with Danielle and got exactly the activity he needed! She did alot of enriching activities with him and I SOOOO appreciated the photos and vids and updates of how she left him (ie where the water was with pics, he was out in the house or in the office, etc). She made my international trip so much more relaxing and less stressful knowing he was being well cared for! I have already booked her again and will most certainly continue to use her in the future!!!”

About: As a flexible college student looking for summer work, I have a schedule that allows me to dedicate reliable time and attention to the pets I care for. I have 3 years of professional pet sitting experience, caring for pets with a wide range of routines and medical needs. I’ve cared for dogs/cats from just a few months old to senior age, requiring extra patience, monitoring, and specialized care. I’m experienced administering oral medications, eye and ear medications, and topical treatments. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions to make sure pets stay safe, healthy, and comfortable. Along with my professional experience, I’ve also owned and cared for dogs, cats, and horses throughout my life. I genuinely love animals and do my best to care for every pet with the same attention and love I would want for my own pets. Pet care has always been a natural part of my daily life. I’ve owned and cared for a dog, six different cats, a horse, and rodents throughout my life. I’m very used to managing feeding schedules, exercise, grooming, cleaning, playtime, and giving animals consistent attention and care every day. As a college student not taking classes over the summer, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize pet care throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible by providing plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and walks. I truly try to care for every pet like they’re my own so they feel safe and loved while their owners are away. I’m also very respectful of clients’ homes and leave them as clean, or cleaner, than I found them while carefully following all care instructions.
About: I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all ages including my own dogs, who are both large breeds (pit/mastiff mix and boxer)! I feel comfortable caring for and walking large and/or reactive dogs as well as other dogs and animals. I also have puppy care experience (including my own) and know how to keep a watchful eye on them. I am currently available every weekday and weekend from 9am until 9pm and am very flexible and attentive with scheduling. I am available for check-ins, walks, in-house sitting, feeding, and playtime! While I can not board animals in my home, I can travel to yours where your pet will be most comfortable. I keep a constant eye on the animals at all times and care for them as if they were my own!
“Johanna was wonderful with Flynn. She was quick to respond to our request, friendly and came by to meet him ahead of time which made us and Flynn feel very comfortable. Would definitely book her again :)”

“Brittany walks my golden weekly and always does a great job! She is punctual, attentive, and a good communicator. I recommend her services to anyone looking for a trustworthy person to take care of their fur child.”

About: I’m semi‑retired, have a senior chihuahua mix of my own, and bring experience with all kinds of pups — reactive, elderly, or youthfully energetic. Whether your dog needs a calm, patient presence or someone who can keep up with their zoomies, I’m your person. I'm available for dog walking 3 times a day Monday thru Friday as my work schedule is flexible. The weekends can be added as needed. When I walk my dog, my eyes are on him and the environment. I'm never on my cell or multi tasking. Safety of my pet and other animals is my #1 priority.
About: I have hands-on experience with reactive dogs, having raised and trained two of my own. I know how much patience, consistency, and calm energy it takes to help a nervous or reactive pup feel safe, and I’ve spent countless hours on exposure work and training to do just that. Whether your dog is shy, anxious, or still learning their manners, they’re in understanding hands with me Caring for dogs is part of my daily rhythm. Between my own dog and the time I spend on walks and play, dogs are always in my schedule. I have plenty of flexibility throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and giving your pup the time and attention they deserve I’ll always come to you, where your dog feels safest. I’ll follow whatever routine your pup already knows, and when we’re walking, my phone stays in my pocket so your dog has my full attention. I always keep the leash secure and lock up before I go. If your dog is reactive, you’re in good hands. I’ve had two reactive dogs of my own, so I know how to stay calm, read the signs, and move them away from triggers before things get to be too much. Either way, you’ll get photo updates so you can relax knowing your pup is happy and safe
“Mark is super nice, professional, mature and trustworthy. This was our first Rover experience so we were a bit skeptical about the type of person we were entrusting with our beloved Westie. Mark gladly agreed to meet with us which gave us a chance to get to know him. So far we have used him for about 8-10 walks and we are super pleased with him and with Rover.”

About: I've been volunteering at the Adoptions Department at Helen Woodard Animal Center for the past 3 years. I've been trained to care for different personalities or special needs for dogs. This includes energetic, strong, shy/timid, resource guarding, mouthy/nippy dogs. Working remotely, so I have time to stop by and check in to make sure they're okay. I have my own car and pretty flexible with afternoons as well. I can come and check in on your babies and make sure they're taken care of. Experience in working with different dogs and cats. My home is my safe space and I wouldn't want to have it violated, and unsafe. I'll make sure your home stays that way for you, I'll be respectful and your fur babies will feel like nothings changes!

“Thankfully, Trey was able to walk my dog 3 days straight on short notice. Penny had a great time and Trey was punctual, spent time with her and took great photos to keep me updated. Appreciate their help immensely especially on the short notice.”

About: What sets me apart is real, hands-on experience, not just good intentions. I raised and trained my own dog from 8 weeks old, so I understand puppy behavior, training fundamentals, and how to build trust with a young or nervous dog from day one. I'm comfortable with all sizes, from tiny breeds to big dogs who need extra exercise and structure. I've also pet sat for countless friends since I was a teenager, so I know that every dog has a different personality and routine, and I take the time to learn what makes your pet comfortable rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether your pup needs an experienced hand with training reinforcement, extra patience, or just a loving, attentive presence while you're away, I treat every pet like my own. I currently have a lot of flexibility in my schedule! I'm not tied to a rigid 9-to-5, so I'm able to offer flexible availability throughout the week — including midday visits, walks, and drop-ins that a lot of full-time sitters can't accommodate. Whether it's a regular weekly routine or last-minute coverage, I have the bandwidth to be reliable and consistent, which I know matters most to pet parents. In my home, your pet will have plenty of space to relax and play — I have a dog-friendly 1,200 square foot apartment, and a trail nearby for walks and exercise. My own dog is incredibly social and loves playing with other dogs, so if your pup enjoys company, they'll have a built-in playmate during their stay. I treat every pet like a member of the household — consistent feeding schedules, plenty of attention, and enough space to settle in and feel comfortable rather than confined. When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible — same feeding times, same walk schedule, same little habits they're used to. I want pets to feel like nothing has changed just because their owner is away, and I always treat their home with the same respect and care I'd want for my own.
About: With over 25 years of experience caring for animals from horses to birds, cats and dogs, you can feel at ease knowing that your fur baby is in good hands. I have cared for senior animals and puppies. I was the main caregiver for 6 dogs and 2 horses while growing up in Colorado. Each new animal friend I meet will be treated like family. Feel free to ask me any additional questions.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Fairbanks Ranch
Fernanda is on point from the start. We had not had a chance to properly make an introduction and her vibes and professionalism with dogs is immaculate. They got along very well from the beginning, and was most generous to help and assist. I was impressed how she could understand my dog very well from the first time meeting. Highly recommended!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
