In the days of people being flaky and irresponsible, what a relief and joy it is to have found Danielle!!! I knew from the initial prompt response from her that she was going to be a rare find!!! I have an 80 lb Pitbull that I pulled from Lancaster Animal Shelter in March. He is a great dog but strong and intimidating looking. I had a friend spending the night but I needed someone to walk him and hang out with him. He had so much fun with Danielle and got exactly the activity he needed! She did alot of enriching activities with him and I SOOOO appreciated the photos and vids and updates of how she left him (ie where the water was with pics, he was out in the house or in the office, etc). She made my international trip so much more relaxing and less stressful knowing he was being well cared for! I have already booked her again and will most certainly continue to use her in the future!!!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all breeds and sizes since I was young. I have had multiple big dogs of my own growing up and I am very comfortable around all kinds of dogs. I’m patient and reliable, and I enjoy making sure each dog feels loved and cared for while their owners are away. Whether it’s energetic walks, playtime, or a calm stop by, I’m happy to adjust to each dog’s needs. I am currently a student with a set schedule that allows me plenty of time in mornings, evenings, and weekends to care for your pets, whether thats going for walks, playing, or just a quick visit! I treat every dog like they’re my own. Walks, play time, and visits are always secure, full of exercise, and tailored to each dogs needs!

About: From walking my first childhood dog at 6 to caring for loved ones' dogs throughout my teens, I knew I loved pet care! I specialize in stubborn and/or hyperactive pups! I have walked dogs of all sizes and love getting to know each of their personalities. I am also an experienced photographer and would love to capture some frameable shots of your dog during a drop-in or walk! I have lived in San Diego for about 14 years now, so I am knowledgeable about all the best dog-walking trails/routes, especially in the Del Mar area! I can't wait to meet you and your pup :) I just graduated from UCLA and moved back home to San Diego, so I have a lot of newfound time on my hands! I am available throughout the day on weekdays and have no problems walking early in the morning or later at night. I recognize that all pets have different needs, wants, and personalities that warrant hyper-individualized care. I make specified folders for each dog I care for that list preferences, dos/dont's, and any other important information.

I can't wait to meet your fur (or scale) babies! I'm currently going to college part-time, so I have plenty of available time in my day. I am flexible with all hours and can work around your schedule as needed. I treat your pets and your home just as I would mine. I will give your fur babies and your personal space the love and respect they deserve. We will go over any rules and boundaries ahead of time so I can ensure I follow them. About: I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and always treat them with patience and kindness. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to keep pets safe, comfortable, and happy while their families are away. I provide reliable care, follow each owner’s instructions carefully, and make sure every pet gets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. I’m committed to communicating clearly with owners and providing updates throughout each visit. I have a flexible schedule and can provide reliable pet care throughout the week. I make time for walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship based on each pet’s routine. I always follow the owner’s instructions and provide regular photo and video updates, so you’ll know how your pet is doing while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. My dog does not do well with boarding and can be standoffish and barky with new people. We hired Tianyi to come 3x per day for a walk when we were away and to make sure our dog's food and water were set. She was so great with our dog. She gave us updates and pictures. When we came home our dog was happy and excited and was in good health and spirits. We will definitely use Tianyi again! I highly recommend her.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 6 years and genuinely love spending time with them. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. At home, I help care for three dogs, including a senior dog, a dog with a disability, and a medically complex dog, so I’m comfortable providing extra patience, monitoring, and following detailed care routines. As a registered nurse, I’m attentive, dependable, and experienced in following specific instructions, including administering medications when needed. I understand that every pet has unique needs and personalities, and I’ll make sure yours feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own family. As a registered nurse, I value reliability and organization. My schedule allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets in my care, and I only accept bookings that I know I can fully commit to. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, I make sure each pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special needs or routines. At home, I help care for three dogs, including a senior dog, a dog with a disability, and a medically complex dog, so I’m experienced with providing patient, attentive care and recognizing when a pet may need extra support. I believe in building trust with both pets and their owners through clear communication, regular updates, and lots of photos. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home, stopping by for a quick visit, or a walk, I’ll treat them with the same love, patience, and respect that I give my own dogs.

Mark is super nice, professional, mature and trustworthy. This was our first Rover experience so we were a bit skeptical about the type of person we were entrusting with our beloved Westie. Mark gladly agreed to meet with us which gave us a chance to get to know him. So far we have used him for about 8-10 walks and we are super pleased with him and with Rover.

Rachel has been great with our dogs! She’s reliable, communicative, and always sends photos and updates after her visits, which we really appreciate. Our puppy, Harlow, has a lot of energy, and our older dog, Dixie Mae, has a very different pace, but Rachel does a wonderful job with both of them. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. We’re so happy we found Rachel and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring dog walker.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
