In the days of people being flaky and irresponsible, what a relief and joy it is to have found Danielle!!! I knew from the initial prompt response from her that she was going to be a rare find!!! I have an 80 lb Pitbull that I pulled from Lancaster Animal Shelter in March. He is a great dog but strong and intimidating looking. I had a friend spending the night but I needed someone to walk him and hang out with him. He had so much fun with Danielle and got exactly the activity he needed! She did alot of enriching activities with him and I SOOOO appreciated the photos and vids and updates of how she left him (ie where the water was with pics, he was out in the house or in the office, etc). She made my international trip so much more relaxing and less stressful knowing he was being well cared for! I have already booked her again and will most certainly continue to use her in the future!!!

Great picures always reassures the owner how a dog behaves and enjoys. Alex arrives, consistently on time, does not make any assumptions and asks the right questions for any concerns regarding my dog. I am hastle free of any doubts or concerns when my dog is cared by Alex, as my dog hurdles past anything to reassure me what a great walk he just had!

About: I’m semi‑retired, have a senior chihuahua mix of my own, and bring experience with all kinds of pups — reactive, elderly, or youthfully energetic. Whether your dog needs a calm, patient presence or someone who can keep up with their zoomies, I’m your person. I'm available for dog walking 3 times a day Monday thru Friday as my work schedule is flexible. The weekends can be added as needed. When I walk my dog, my eyes are on him and the environment. I'm never on my cell or multi tasking. Safety of my pet and other animals is my #1 priority.

Mark is super nice, professional, mature and trustworthy. This was our first Rover experience so we were a bit skeptical about the type of person we were entrusting with our beloved Westie. Mark gladly agreed to meet with us which gave us a chance to get to know him. So far we have used him for about 8-10 walks and we are super pleased with him and with Rover.

About: Over the past 6 years, I’ve also managed holiday pet sitting for various dogs, ensuring they stay active and happy while their owners are away. What truly sets me apart is my access to professional knowledge; my younger sister is currently in veterinary school. This background makes me extra attentive to pet health and safety. Whether your pet needs high-energy play or a calm companion, I provide a structured and loving environment tailored to their personality. I really enjoy being with cats and usually start my day seeing my own American Shorthair laying right outside my door. Since I work from home, my schedule is very flexible. I can provide consistent companionship throughout the day, ensuring your pet gets plenty of attention, regular breaks, and interactive playtime without me ever having to leave the house. Safety is my top priority, and I’ve learned a lot from my sister who is currently in vet school. In my home, I maintain a pet-friendly environment where my cat and your pets can feel secure. When sitting at a client's home, I am extremely diligent about following your specific household rules, double-checking locks, and keeping a close eye on your pet’s behavior and well-being at all times.

I’m reliable, communicative, and always provide updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. About: I am an animal lover that is passionate about caring for all animals, specifically rescue animals and animals that may require unique behavioral support or have special needs. My own dog is highly reactive, so I have a lot of experience with handling and caring for reactive dogs. I treat and love every animal as my own and am a very responsible and reliable caregiver. I work as a school psychologist, so I typically care for animals more over the summer! Over the summer, I am available throughout the day for walks or drop in services. I am very flexible both week days and weekends, check my calendar to see if I’m available! I do not offer in-home pet care due to the needs of my own pets. However, I am a very responsible and respectful caregiver when entering client homes.

About: I have hands-on experience with reactive dogs, having raised and trained two of my own. I know how much patience, consistency, and calm energy it takes to help a nervous or reactive pup feel safe, and I’ve spent countless hours on exposure work and training to do just that. Whether your dog is shy, anxious, or still learning their manners, they’re in understanding hands with me Caring for dogs is part of my daily rhythm. Between my own dog and the time I spend on walks and play, dogs are always in my schedule. I have plenty of flexibility throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and giving your pup the time and attention they deserve I’ll always come to you, where your dog feels safest. I’ll follow whatever routine your pup already knows, and when we’re walking, my phone stays in my pocket so your dog has my full attention. I always keep the leash secure and lock up before I go. If your dog is reactive, you’re in good hands. I’ve had two reactive dogs of my own, so I know how to stay calm, read the signs, and move them away from triggers before things get to be too much. Either way, you’ll get photo updates so you can relax knowing your pup is happy and safe

About: I have special skills in senior care and animals who need special care post surgery. I have about 3 dogs and 1 cat who are all seniors. The first dog I adopted millie was on the older side and as the years gone by I have learned and educated myself on how to properly care for senior dogs, and the most important thing I have learned is patience is key. My oldest dog millie also had multiple surgeries due to cancerous tumor that spread. Thankfully she is fine but after many surgeries I have learned the skills on how to properly take care of dogs post surgery. I also have lots of experience with kittens from my time volunteer at a feline rescue. I am a UCLA student who does this work during my summer break. I am available from beginning of june-end of september. I will also be working a job that are about 5.30 hours each shift 4 days a week. Depending on exactly what day of the week you need I can work around your schedule. My other summer job is very flexible however my shifts are usually at night. Depending on what you need I can be very flexible so we can also talk more in detail. I do not offer services for pets to stay at my home however I do travel to my clients homes. When taking care of my clients pets I make sure to prioritize safety, routine, be attentive, and cleanliness. I also make sure that all animals receive their walks and all physical activity required.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
