“I reached out to Holly with a last minute sitter request. Holly was super responsive to my requests regarding Wee. I appreciate her willingness to go above and beyond by picking her up from my other sitter, as well as being flexible around whether I would need day care or overnight care for her. Will definitely book again!”

“Thank you for taking such great care of our two puppies. This is our first time leaving our puppies in the care of someone else and we feel very fortunate that we found a family that will love them like we do. We will definitely be a repeat customer.”

“Im so grateful I found Annie and Ty. They are perfect pet care people who clearly love animals. They followed Daisy’s routines and went above and sending pictures of Daisy as she enjoyed her day. Daisy had great day and came home very happy!”

About: I’m a dog mom with many years of experience taking good care of pups of all ages and sizes. I work from home with an extremely friendly dog of my own so your dog will have company all day and night! I work fully remote with a flexible schedule. Your dog will always get a morning walk with mine, potty breaks whenever needed, and I can accommodate any feeding schedule. I’m available to provide daycare and board most weekdays and most weekends. I have a fenced backyard patio for potty breaks and time outside. Your pup will have free rein in the house with a doggy playmate. I generally do not crate or cage my dog when I’m out of the house, but can separate your pup as needed based on your requirements. I have cameras in my home for monitoring so I can always check what the pups are up to!
“Christy did an awesome job watching my dog - she was great with communication and sent so many pictures and videos while he was there! The second day pulling onto her street, he got soo excited in the car that he was coming back and having the closed in backyard was great for my energetic dog, would definitely recommend!”

“Sophie is great! She is caring and attentive. Maisy enjoyed her week playing with Snow and hanging out. I felt super comfortable that Maisy was well cared for. She came home exhausted from an active day with her new friends!”

“Julia made our San Diego visit so much more enjoyable as she watched our fur baby. She was very prompt, responsive, and flexible. Definitely requesting her again for our next visit.”

“Alana and her husband were so amazing to Sadie! Sadie is normally a little timid at first but when I picked her up she didn’t want to go! She had a great time and I would definitely recommend Alana to anyone in the future. Her and her husband are total dog people!!”

“Gris was amazing to us , she is very good at communicating and ease every fear you can have. It was my first time leaving my dog with someone else for a long period of time (8 ish hours lol ) and knowing that my dog is not the easiest pup I was very worried and stressed about the whole situation.Thankfully I found Gris , she was able to book us last minute, was very easy to communicate with, sent me pictures and answer my messages promptly. My dog loved spending the day at her house and playing with the other pups, he was exhausted from all the playing at the end of the day. I would highly recommend her.”

“Vinny loved his time with Erika & Mark! They have a lovely home with a great yard for all the doggy play time! Vinny got along so well with their dog, Nora. They became instant besties and I loved I receiving all the cute photos and videos throughout the day! I felt so comfortable knowing he was in great care. Vinny would love to see Nora + Family again soon 🐾💘”

“I've been using this sitter for quite some time now. Very reliable and dependable. She's been able to help with short notice sitting and out of state work trips for my crazy work schedule. My pup loves it there and enjoys their entire family. I don't get as many pictures but I get a few and my pup is always a happy camper whenever I pick him up. Would definitely recommend this sitter all anyone in need of pet care.”

“Our dogs love going to Sandy’s place! They always have a great time, and we never worry about a thing with her. Also, she’s super responsive, easy to work with, and sends updates with photos throughout the day.”

“I usually don’t like to leave my dog with strangers but I’m so glad someone like Claire is able to take care of my boy, and show him love. Claire is very loving and responsive. I’d definitely take any pet to her before anyone else on this app. I can tell my dog loves going over there with her!”

“Such a great experience. Drop-off was very easy, and I really appreciated the photo she shared of our dog having fun at her place :) It gave us a lot of peace of mind. Pick-up was also very easy. I would definitely leave my dog at her place again!”
About: My husband and I are true dog lovers, and our rescue pup, Myka, is a cherished member of our family. We know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust, and we'll care for yours as if they were our own. We offer a safe, loving home with a large backyard, plenty of attention, and daily walks in the canyon nearby. Myka is friendly and respectful of other dogs. She enjoys playing when they want to play, but is also happy to give them space if that's what they prefer. Whether your dog loves adventures, cuddles, or simply relaxing in a cozy spot, we'll make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for during their stay. ❤️ I work from home and only work a few hours each day, which means I have plenty of time to give your dog attention, companionship, playtime, potty breaks, and walks throughout the day! We have a very cozy, dog-friendly home with plenty of toys, comfortable dog beds, and lots of space to relax and feel at home. Our goal is to make every dog feel loved, comfortable, and part of the family during their stay. I always supervise dogs carefully, both indoors and outdoors, and follow any instructions provided by their owners to ensure they remain happy, healthy, and secure. We share our home with our rescue dog, Myka, who is sweet, friendly, and respectful of other dogs. She enjoys playing when other dogs are interested, but is also happy to give them space.
“I’m so grateful for Chris & Corinne and the awesome job they did taking care of my dog, Kieran. I needed some last-minute help and not only were they able to accommodate my short notice booking, but they also made time to squeeze in a meet-and-greet session so my dog could have a chance to acclimate a little. My dog can be a bit anxious and tends to warm to new people pretty slowly, but within minutes of meeting he seemed at ease in their home and even came up to them for pets. During the actual visit, I got a midday check-in, complete with a photo of my boy relaxing and looking perfectly comfortable and content without me. If I wasn’t in the process of moving, I would definitely use them as our regular sitters!”

Gibbs and Hamilton had a wonderful time spending the day with Patricia, Boston and her family. We received updates and photos during our time away. She took them on walks and to the dog park. We would definitely use her again; she lives very close to us as well, which is a big convenience. Last time she did drop in care and this time they stayed at her house; both arrangements worked out well.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Fairbanks Ranch commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
