“Danielle was fantastic, very trustworthy and responsible, communicative and friendly. She took great care of our dogs and our home and I would definitely book her again!”

“Ellyn was fantastic and our little Joey seemed to love having her here. Ellyn was so responsive to us with daily updates and photos and I will for sure be using her in the future. Thank again Ellyn!”

“This was our first time leaving our fairly energetic Westin terrier/poodle mix, Mila with someone other than a family member. Kaylan did a wonderful job, sending multiple pictures every day of their outings. In a week they were at Fiesta island 3 or 4 times, which requires a bath after each visit due to Mila’s digging, rolling in the sand and dirt, etc. Kaylan also took her to the dog park, restaurants and many neighborhood walks. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again.”

“Bob was an amazing sitter for our corgi and husky! He was on time for both the meet & greet and the actual booking, and was very professional and kind throughout the entire experience. He sent us multiple daily updates, photos, and videos, and it was clear both dogs were getting lots of playtime, attention, and love. Our corgi usually gets extra emotional when we come home, but this time she seemed so happy and relaxed, which really showed us how well cared for they were. Our house was also left in great condition. We’re very happy with Bob and will definitely book with him again!”

“She was great. Unfortunately, had some issues with my dog during my time away. She acted promptly and brought her to the vet within minutes of alerting me of the problem. Very responsible.”

“Cary did an outstanding job taking care of our house and our energetic Cattle Dog! Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, caring and responsible dog sitter!”

“Iulia is a wonderful, caring person who did a fantastic job watching Bella over the 2017 New Years holiday. She was a lifesaver when we had air travel delays and had to extend for a day. Weve found both a Bella AND family friend. THANKS!”

“This was our second time using Eli and he was great! Very good communication and daily updates with pictures of Kopi! I’m sure Kopi will be excited to see him again soon and know we feel very comfortable having Eli watch him!”

“Jordan was absolutely the best! She was communicative and sent a lot of great photos of Charlie and Hudson. We knew they were having a wonderful time and in very good care with Jordan. We will definitely book Jordan as again for our next trips.”

“Wendy is Amazing . Super punctual and very patient w my high energy/ playful gsd. No negative remarks I heard from her though my dog charge when she enters the door. I will definitely book w her again. Thank you Wendy🙏”

About: I’ve been a dog person for as long as I can remember. We got our first pup when I was 5 and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I’m always the person who finds the dog first at someone’s house, and my camera roll is probably 90% pictures of animals at this point. I’ve lived with dogs for about 30 years and have been around all kinds of personalities, from high-energy pups to sleepy seniors. I really just love getting to know each dog and what makes them them. I also have experience reinforcing basic commands and working with professionally trained dogs, so I’m comfortable following whatever training methods and cues you already use at home. I’m familiar with e-collars as well and am comfortable using owner-provided training tools when that’s already part of your dog’s routine. I’m a remote designer and small business owner, so my schedule is really flexible and I can spend plenty of time with the pets I’m watching. I also do home organization and build organizing systems, so I’m naturally pretty tidy and respectful of other people’s spaces. Mostly, I just want your pets to feel happy and comfortable while you’re gone, and for you to be able to relax knowing they’re being well taken care of. I work remotely and run my own small business, so my schedule is super flexible. I can work around your pet’s normal routine and I’m around a lot during the day. Walks, meals, potty breaks, playtime, or just hanging out while I work all fit pretty naturally into my day. I try to keep things as normal as possible for your pets while you’re gone. I’ll follow their usual routine, feeding schedule, house rules, and anything else you normally do with them. I’m also really respectful of people’s homes and always want you to feel comfortable knowing both your pets and your home are being taken care of.
“I was so nervous about leaving my dog with a stranger for 3 days, but Claudia went above and beyond to make me feel at ease. She was kind enough to meet my dog beforehand to make sure it was a good fit—and my dog loved her instantly. She even rolled over for belly rubs, which she never does for anyone new! While I was away, Claudia sent me tons of photos and videos, which made me feel so connected. I had left very specific door-training instructions (my dog must sit before the door is opened, and the hallway must be cleared before the release command). Claudia followed these perfectly, which was really important to me for safety and consistency. When I came home, my house was spotless—honestly cleaner than when I left. Even my Brita was filled to the top! And the sweetest surprise of all: it was my dog’s birthday while I was away, and Claudia threw her a mini birthday party. She sent me photos of my dog in rainbow birthday hats, a princess sash, with balloons and a new toy. It meant the world to me to see someone else celebrate my dog with so much love. She also shared the cutest little updates, like how my dog would wake up around 2 or 3 a.m., give her a kiss, then go back to bed. It’s the small details like that that showed me she truly cared and kept our routine. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My dog adored her, and I’ve already recommended Claudia to my coworkers. I’ll definitely be hiring her again—not just for overnight stays but for occasional walks too, so they can keep their sweet bond going.”

“Luis is wonderful! My previous pet sitter told me that he is moving away last minute leaving me on full on panic mood 4 days before my trip. I contacted Luis through Rover (first time using Rover), he responded right away and was able to schedule a meet & greet the next day. One of my dog is diebetic and needs timed injectable medications twice a day, so i always get super nervous leaving him even with my regular sitter. Luis put me to ease just from the meet & greet, he asked a lot of questions took notes, and has a very calming nature (my dogs are a handful when they first meet people in our hosue). I received tons of updates and pictures, communication was on point! I will definitely keep booking with Luis and recommend him to my friends and family.”

“Eliza was amazing with Hamachi. We recently adopted him and he has some separation anxiety. We wanted to go to a concert and it was our first time leaving him with a sitter. From the moment Eliza sat with him, he seemed at ease. Eliza is very personable, easy going, and caring. We enjoyed our date night knowing Hamachi was in good hands. We were running a little late coming home and Eliza stayed with him until we got back and was very flexible about it.”

“Campbell was kind enough to take my house and dog sitting request on really short notice. She went out of her way to meet and greet and then come to my house for the stay. She is noticeably responsible and responsive and she did an excellent job and allowed us to relax and enjoy our time away. Huge thank you!”
“Nataliya did an amazing job watching Teddy! She sent lots of pictures and took him on lots of fun outings. She sent me daily updates and was very responsive to my messages. Would definitely book again!”

Reshini is awesome! We can’t wait to have her back to dog-sit again. She took such amazing care of our sweet pup and our home while we were away. Her communication was wonderful, and getting regular pictures and updates gave us so much peace of mind and made our trip much less stressful. We highly recommend her! 🐾❤️

Karen was a great dog sitter for our new puppy. She immediately understood our concerns and reassured us with her calm, caring and professional demeanor. During the evening she sent photos and text updates. Birdie clearly liked being with her and trusted her. We would book her again and recommend her to others.

Paige was absolutely wonderful with King! She took great care of him, made sure he got plenty of walks and attention, and kept me updated. King can be a strong dog, and it was clear she was confident and comfortable handling him, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I truly appreciated the love and attention she gave him. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Paige again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and capable dog sitter!

Rachel is very experienced with dogs, especially large dogs. Ours is particular; Rachel got down on her level at their first meeting, and it was all good from there on! She kept us updated with photos and notes during her stay. I will definitely call Rachel the next time we need a dog sitter!

Alec did a fantastic job caring for our dog and cat while we were away for a week. Our dog has anxiety issues, so finding someone patient and reliable is especially important to us. Alec kept us updated and gave both pets excellent care and attention. We came home to two happy, relaxed, and well-cared-for furry babies. We would happily recommend Alec to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.

Shirlene took wonderful care of my dog, Barnaby, while we were away. She was great about sending updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. 🐶 I came home to a house that was actually cleaner and more organized than when we left! Barnaby was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when I returned, which says everything. Shirlene went way above and beyond, and I would absolutely book with her again!

Luciana was a blessing to me and my pup. She house/dog sat for me and took excellent care of Juliet. She followed instructions exactly as expected and left the house spotless. She sent me daily updates and photos so I knew all was well. She is trustworthy and dependable. I highly recommend Luciana.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fairbanks Ranch walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fairbanks Ranch maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fairbanks Ranch choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fairbanks Ranch. On Rover:

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
