“Muchu had a great time at May and Marc’s house! They sent pictures daily of him smiling and relaxing. We did a meet and greet before booking so he was comfortable. They are quick communicators and friendly!”

“As always, Kimberly is such a pleasure and always takes the absolute best care of our senior pug, Abbey. It’s such a comfort knowing she’s in great hands while we’re away. Kimberly picked up and dropped off our dog this time, which was SO helpful and convenient!!”

“Both me and my pup felt at ease from the moment we stepped into Corinne and Christopher's home. They are the nicest people and take great care of my girl ❤️”

“Llysia was a great sitter for our new 1 year old pup! She was very communicative, accommodating to his schedule and needs, kept him busy and entertained, and took overall great care of him. We will definitely book her again in the future! Can’t recommend her enough.”

“I can’t recommend Michelle and Steve enough! They took such amazing care of Uni while we were away. Michelle kept us updated almost daily with photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. They were incredibly attentive to Uni’s needs and made sure he was comfortable and happy. Their dog, Daisy, is wonderfully well-tempered and such a sweet companion—safe and friendly to be around. It’s clear Michelle and Steve are true dog lovers who treat every pup like family. I would absolutely use their services again without hesitation!”

“Margaret & Kyle are beyond amazing. My 2 dogs fit right at home with their own doggy toffee. They would always send pictures everyday keeping me up to date. Will definitely request them again and I highly recommend to request them as well!”

“Gelare and Sama are exceptional dogsitters. From the meet & greet to the daily videos and photos, it was obvious they treat my pup as if it were their own. Thank you!”

“Julia was a fantastic sitter for my baby Kimchi! She sent multiple photos + updates throughout my pets stay, fed her medicine everyday, and her pup Yuki was so gentle and patient with Kimchi. Her place is very secure, so I felt safe having her there. She also takes Kimchi on walks which not all sitters do. And lastly Kimchi has always been an anxious dog who doesn’t acclimate well in new settings, and while she still gets afraid of Julia’s roommates, she felt safe and calm with Julia right off the bat. Would definitely recommend!”

“Julia always takes great care of Teddy! He always seems to have a blast playing with her dog and I appreciate her communication and pictures while we are gone.”

“Ruda was just awesome! From the numerous photos and videos that they sent, I just knew that Kenji was having a great time and was in good hands. I’ve already made arrangements to rebook with him!”

About: As someone that calls my dog "my daughter" - I know how important it is that your dogs are happy and safe while you're away! I have always been a huge animal lover and grew up with dogs (among other animals such as hedgehogs and turtles...) I live in a townhome in Encinitas with my boyfriend and mom, who are both also major dog lovers. As I am currently getting my masters degree online, I will be the person with them all day taking care of them! I have one dog named Fudge- a 10 year old medium sized cavalier/ bernese mountain dog rescue. She is mellow and usually keeps to herself. She is fine with sitting on the couch all day or going on long hikes or spending the day at the dog beach, so we are used to all kinds of activity levels from dogs. I have experience with dogs of all ages- puppies to seniors. I will treat your pup like my own and provide customized care to make sure they feel spoiled and loved during their stay. I am working on getting my masters degree in behavioral analysis online and not currently working a job so I will be home with the dogs all day. I have a fenced in yard and also commit to walking my dog daily. I can bring the dogs on many adventures such as hikes, parks, dog beach, etc if the family desires or feels comfortable with that.

“Aline and Eric took such good care of our dog. She was so well taken care of and felt right at home from day one. We loved the photo updates and great communication throughout. Even got polaroid photos of her playing with their sweet dog at pickup. Thank you!”

“Marie was so kind to meet our puppy before we booked. She sent us photos of our dog during her stay and Eevee was very well taken care of with toys and fun!”

“Beth and her family always make Peanut feel welcome. Beth stays in touch with pictures so that we can rest assured that Peanut is doing well. Thank you, Beth!”

“My dog came back super happy and clearly loved his stay! I received pictures of him playing and having a great time, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and reliable pet sitter.”

“Alicia was amazing and I felt so comfortable leaving my pup with her! She was super communicative, caring, and my pup clearly enjoyed staying with her. Will definitely be booking again and highly recommend!”

About: I've had pets my whole life. Dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, you name it! I'm a huge animal lover, I'm vegetarian even, and I just want to provide peace of mind to people and a fun time to fur babies. I have some professional experience as well. I volunteered at Ventura and Kern county animal shelters. There I walked dogs, cleaned kennels, administered food and medications, and more! I also volunteered at CALM wildlife rehabilitation in Bakersfield. I go to school part time, and that's online, so my schedule is very flexible for pet care. Right now I'm totally open for impromptu needs or scheduling. I follow directions very carefully, and am open to meet/orientation sessions so you can show and tell me directly how things should be done with your pet. Otherwise, I am just careful when entering and exiting, I always use proper equipment, and I carry dog and pepper spray on walks to help stay safe.
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Fairbanks Ranch
From drop off to pick up, you can tell the love and special touch that Sara has for dogs. Zeke could not have been happier to get dropped off. He immediately bonded with her and it looks like he had an amazing day. I couldn’t recommend her more to help you care for your dogs and all pets.

Pavla was wonderful with our pup who usually has separation anxiety with dog sitters. She kept him for several days while we were out of town and made him feel at home right away! Pavla's teenage son and daughter were also at home to play and cuddle with our pup, so he got lots of love and attention. Pavla was great with communication, sending messages and photos so we knew our dog was happy and feeling loved. When we picked up our pup, he was healthy and happy and obviously had a great stay with Pavla! We highly recommend her and would be eager to use her again when we go out of town. Thank you Pavla!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Fairbanks Ranch home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Fairbanks Ranch.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Fairbanks Ranch sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
