Hi! I’m Angelica, a dedicated Dachshund mom and lifelong dog lover. I grew up with dogs and now share my home with my Dachshund, Copper. After Copper’s back surgery, I became especially knowledgeable in Dachshund-specific care, including IVDD awareness, gentle handling, proper lifting, medication administration, and mobility support. I provide thoughtful accommodations like ramps for furniture access and a calm, safe environment tailored to long-backed pups. I have experience caring for small dogs of all ages and temperaments, especially those who need extra patience, structure, or TLC. For safety reasons related to my dog’s recovery, I’m currently accepting dogs up to 25 lbs. I’d love to give your Dachshund (or small pup!) attentive, loving, and knowledgeable care.

While traveling and having to go to the hospital back and forth at UCSD, needed help with my dachshund. Seeing that she has a dachshund as well, made me feel like it was the perfect fit. Angelica was incredible. She is centrally located. Kept updating me with pictures and videos which I absolutely love. Will definitely use her in the future if I am back in the LaJolla area.
Angelica sent us photos and videos of our pup throughout the day and he has so much fun! Would highly recommend her as a sitter
Angelica really understood the needs of our senior guy and posted the best pics! Was happy for the updates to ensure B’s adjustment to a new sitter.
Angelica was great. Stopped in - took the dogs out to pee and then sent them to bed. Our datenights are on again since we found her!
Tapi and Copper get along so well. He was so well taken care of by Angelica. This was our 2nd time using Angelica and we'll definitely keep going back!

Schedule
I have a very open schedule, so your pup will be never alone, I can do potty breaks from 0-2hrs, on weekends we love to do longer walks if your dog is conformable with that. Also we spend hours playing in the backyard so your dog will be never bored!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard, where your dog and I can spend hours playing! Furry friends are allowed on the couch and bed, unless you prefer not to. My house is smoke free, no kids, but full of love, care, cuddles and fun! Our dog is house trained and neutered :)
Pets
A typical day
I enjoy using treats and toys to stimulate the physical and mental development of our furry friends. Our dachshund is very temperamental and stubborn but I’ve managed to train him in several commands and play styles. Park walks, play fetch, and treat hunt are some of our favourite activities!
