About: Hello! My name is Kirk, and am a lifelong animal lover, experienced dog walker & pet sitter, trusted families throughout San Diego and North County. I grew up with Black Labs and multiple cats as a child and have been around dogs, cats and other pets my entire life. As an adult I’ve had six dogs and three cats of my own ranging from large, medium, and small breeds, which has given me a great understanding of different temperaments, energy levels, and care needs. About ten years ago I began pet sitting for friends and family, and over the past 6–8 years I’ve regularly cared for walked and pet sit for dogs and cats throughout the year. I’ve worked with playful high-energy dogs who need long walks, older pets who need patience and gentle care, and cats who appreciate a calm and attentive presence. A typical visit or walk begins with a quick check-in to make sure your pet is happy, healthy, and relaxed. For dogs, this usually means a walk that matches their energy level, whether that’s a fun, active outing or a slower stroll around the neighborhood. After the walk, I make sure they have fresh water, settle them comfortably, and spend a little extra time giving attention or play if they enjoy it. For cats, visits include feeding, refreshing water, litter box care, and spending time with them in whatever way they prefer—some cats love playtime and attention, while others simply appreciate quiet companionship. I keep things clean, organized, and respectful of your home while I’m there. I also send updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and feel confident they’re being well cared for. Above all, you can expect reliability, patience, and genuine care. I treat every pet as if they were my own and aim to make each visit positive, safe, and comforting for them.

Though Madeline did not have a ton of reviews, her rate was extremely competitive and the reviews she did have, were very positive. So I jumped into the deep end and am very glad I went with Madeline. She lived fairly close by so it was easy to do a meet/greet and drop off my keys with her. She was very personable and my kitten warmed up to her very quickly at the meet/greet. She followed through on all her commitments, showing up on time and providing exceptional care to my kitten. She provided daily updates along with pictures. When my travel plans changed, Madeline was right there to assist us with Stoner's care. I would highly, highly recommend Madeline to take care of your loved one while you are away.
