“Aubrey is the best! Looks like our dog had a great time based on the adorable pictures she got of him, and everything was in order when we got home. Absolutely will keep using Aubrey to care for our boy!”

“Sarah has been a Phenomenal dog sitter the past 2 1/2months! as the local Active Duty Navy recruiter there is no one I trust better to let my little man out while i’m at the office. Extremely responsive and will notify if anything is out of the ordinary. Think Vinny likes her more than me at this point haha 10 out of 10 recommend!”

“We were very anxious to leave our cat Bambi alone for the weekend for the first time and even more stressed when our sitter fell through last minute. Dana was incredibly attentive and patiently accepted all of our requests for Bambi on short notice. I definitely felt so much more assured that Bambi wouldn’t be completely alone and would have someone as compassionate as Dana to accompany him :-) Dana’s updates on Bambi during check ins really reassured us that Bambi was doing well. and in good hands :-) i would definitely consider Dana again in the future ❤️”

“Karen was amazing taking care of my two cats when I was away on a work trip. She cares so much and was very communicative. I will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Samantha did a fantastic job taking care of my two cats. She was reliable, attentive, and kept me updated with photos and messages. I came home to two very happy and well cared for cats.”

“Jeanine jumped in to help us on a last minute trip. Our little Friday was well taken care of for our 3x per day drop ins. Jeanine sent us lots of pictures to keep us up to date and at ease on vacation.”

“We weren’t sure what to expect since Anikka is newer on Rober but she was a great sitter for our fur babies! We appreciated the easy communication and the photo updates, they had a wonderful time with her. We have one dog who is senior and needs a little extra love and she took great care of him. She took our other dog to the park near our house which she loves. Would definitely use her again!”

About: I have hands-on experience with reactive dogs, having raised and trained two of my own. I know how much patience, consistency, and calm energy it takes to help a nervous or reactive pup feel safe, and I’ve spent countless hours on exposure work and training to do just that. Whether your dog is shy, anxious, or still learning their manners, they’re in understanding hands with me Caring for dogs is part of my daily rhythm. Between my own dog and the time I spend on walks and play, dogs are always in my schedule. I have plenty of flexibility throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and giving your pup the time and attention they deserve I’ll always come to you, where your dog feels safest. I’ll follow whatever routine your pup already knows, and when we’re walking, my phone stays in my pocket so your dog has my full attention. I always keep the leash secure and lock up before I go. If your dog is reactive, you’re in good hands. I’ve had two reactive dogs of my own, so I know how to stay calm, read the signs, and move them away from triggers before things get to be too much. Either way, you’ll get photo updates so you can relax knowing your pup is happy and safe

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rancho Santa Fe. On Rover:
