About: Hello!! I am currently a college student that is home for the summer. I absolutely love animals, and wanted to use my free time to have fun with all sorts of pets! I have had many pets throughout my life. I also have been a pet sitter ever since middle school; taking care of my neighbors animals. I've developed a deep patience for animals and enjoy meeting new pets, and building a connection with them. I am currently working part time, with a schedule that unpredictably flexes throughout the week, and therefore weekends are my preference for pet sitting. However, I believe that Friday will often be a day I can work in the evenings. I am very active, so I often play tug-a-war, and other physical games with my medium-sized dog to relieve her energy. With my cats, I give them plenty of attention when they ask for it, but if they aren't seeking me out, I leave them alone. With my extensive experience with animals, reading their body language has become second nature. Therefore, interacting with new animals, is always a fun experience.
About: Hi! I’m Scarlett! My whole life I have grown up around animals (mostly dogs) and I am very familiar with their needs! My family mostly adopts large and older dogs but I’ve also seen my fair share of puppies as well! So my skills are pretty diverse and can accommodate your dogs needs! Thank you and I hope to be meeting your four legged friend soon! As of right now, I am working three days a week virtually for my college’s writing center. So on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights I will be unavailable. But any other day of the week and weekend I am usually free and happy to provide care for your animal(s)! I am only open to providing care in the client's home because I currently live with my parents. In their home, I will make sure to respect their privacy to the highest degree and only use what is necessary for their lovely pets!
“Great daily communication and cared for my baby so well🙏🏼 Samwise, my cat, is normally very angry with me when I return from a long trip but not this time, seems like he’s got a new best friend and didn’t even notice I was gone😭 I highly recommend Africa to anyone looking for someone who will not just watch your pet but care for them 💕”

“Jess was very professional, punctual, and communicative! She provided excellent drop-in care for my 2 dogs while I was away for the day. She truly cares about making sure your pets are comfortable and well cared for.”

“Heather was kind, punctual and knowledgeable on cat care. My male kitty went right up to her during the meet and greet. I will use her services again. Highly recommend Heather!”

About: Between my own family’s dog, and working at a Dog Daycare facility in college, I have been exposed to many different dog breeds, personalities, care requirements and non-physical deconfliction strategies. Whether it’s medication requirements, personality quirks, or high energy- playtime, rest easy knowing I would love the opportunity to use my experience and help take care of your family member! I have a work schedule that would allow for early morning, lunch time and post work day drop ins, with enough heads up and if additional meetings are needed I can make those work with a little bit of notice! I have a very large outdoor area that my dog absolutely loves to run around in. It is not fenced, but we always are outside with him. We are a standalone property with tons of space!
“Lauren is the best! She took excellent care of our cat. He absolutely adores her. She's very kind, professional and conscientious. It made traveling a lot easier for us, knowing that she was taking care of him. We will definitely be booking her again in the future!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter for our elderly kitty Talia! Leaving a senior pet in someone else’s care can be stressful, but from the very beginning Madison made us feel completely at ease. She is incredibly patient, attentive, and compassionate with our cat’s special needs and routines. We received regular updates, photos, and little notes that showed just how much love and attention our cat was getting while we were away. It was obvious they truly care about animals and understand the extra care and gentleness senior pets need. When we get home, our kitty is comfortable and clearly well cared for — which says everything! We are so grateful to have found someone so trustworthy, reliable, and kind. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone, especially those with older pets who need a little extra TLC.”

“Baining is the only right answer. I was new to the app and was in need of a dog sitter. I was hesitant to even try Rover but Baining made the whole process easy. She was kind enough to arrange for a meet and greet before the days I needed help. She was very easy to talk to and highly communicative. She's awesome and I'll absolutely be reaching out in the future. Thanks Baining!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Del Dios
Kimberly has made a great bond with my skiddish kitties. I always know they’re in good hands with her and she brings a calm and caring presence in my absence. She has excellent communication and I appreciate her efforts to ask questions or raise concerns when needed.

Karis is a 5-star pet sitter. She is attentive, kind, and extremely considerate. Her communication was great throughout, and she followed all of our instructions carefully. We felt much better being away from our cats knowing she was checking in on them. We would definitely use her again. Thank you so much for spending time with our kitties and taking such amazing care of them!

Heather was great to work with! We have two relatively chill cats, but they come with a lot of instructions. Heather did everything we asked and definitely spoiled them! I will request her again in the future for sure. She gave us total peace of mind while we were on vacation.

Aaron really came in a pinch for our cats as their water was spilled and the litter filled up quicker than expected. He was kind, attentive, communicative, and made sure our place was back in good shape and the kiddos had a good treat. He also took the litterbag to the dumpster despite us saying he can just leave it in the bathroom, just so our place wouldn’t smell! Will definitely reach out to him again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
