About: Hi! I’ve been around animals my whole life—growing up with both cats and dogs taught me early how to care for pets with love and patience. Over the years, I’ve been the go-to sitter for my friends whenever they go out of town, whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, or just making sure their pets feel comfortable and cared for. I understand that every pet has its own personality and needs, and I always do my best to match their energy and routines. Whether your furry friend is energetic and playful or more laid-back and shy, I’ve got them covered! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits. I’m available for regular walks, drop-ins, or extended care depending on your pet’s needs. I keep my availability up to date and do my best to be reliable and consistent, so you can count on me to stick to your pet’s routine. I’m also happy to coordinate a schedule that works best for you. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with respect and follow all instructions closely—from feeding routines and walk preferences to any special needs or behaviors. I take extra care to ensure doors, gates, and crates are always secure, and I never leave pets unattended longer than agreed. I stay attentive during walks and in the home to keep your pet safe at all times. You can expect clear communication and regular updates, so you always know how your pet is doing and can feel confident they’re in good hands.
About: I have cared for animals since I was 5, whether that was a family pet or a stray. I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments as I have previous experience in a boarding/veterinary facility. Additionally, I have fostered puppies and older dogs with many different medical and training needs. I also have over 10 years of experience with horses and caring for animals of that nature. Currently I am a student at Mira Costa College, however, I am majority online so my schedule is very flexible for playtimes and walks with your pet! Keeping up with a pet’s routine and safety are my number 1 goals. I am unable to have others’ pets in my home, but I intend to respect others’ homes and values when caring for their pets.
“Emily was so wonderful during her drop in visits with our sweet Luna girl! Luna loved her and Emily is a natural with animals. She provides excellent updates and is very thorough and thoughtful! Highly recommend her!”

“My second time have Nycole drop in for my senior cat… she was great, gave Rossi her meds and love and took in delerviers, etc. I recommend having Nycole as your fur baby’s sitter!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 20 years of pet sitting experience and a lifetime of caring for dogs. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have my own pup, so I truly understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, and loving to care for your pet. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, companionship while you’re away, or extra love and attention, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m experienced with different personalities, energy levels, and routines, and I’m happy to follow any specific instructions to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved! I work from home on my own flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care, walks, and drop-in visits throughout the day. I’m able to be reliable, attentive, and flexible to your pet’s routine and needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet and your home, and I treat both with the same care and respect I would my own. About: I've lived with and cared for all manner of animals for the better part of 30 years now. I also previously worked at a dog boarding facility. I currently have two German shorthair pointers, Wade and Aurora as well as a cat, Bastilla. As a pet owner, I build my entire routine around my pets and their needs. More often than not if I'm leaving the house to run an errand it is somehow pet related. When it comes to pet care in someone else's home the main thing for me is respect. Both in regards to the physical boundaries they set as well as their preferences in regards to pet care. Some pets are allowed on the furniture, or they have a very specific routine or schedule they follow. At the end of the day, I consider myself to be an extremely flexible and accommodating person in regards to caring for others' pets.
About: Intuitive dog caretaker. Your pup's needs are my number one priority. I adapt to your fur baby's needs. When they want a long walk, I'm their guide. When they want extra belly rubs, I've got lots of love to give. I understand how tough it can be to trust someone with your dog. The good news is that dogs recognize "dog people." I'll make your dog feel comfortable and ensure every need is met. I'm a freelancer and work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I can accommodate almost any schedule, and I'm usually available at a moment's notice if needed. For pet sitting, I offer services in the client's home. I feel like this is the best arrangement for the pup. They get to stay in their familiar environment, and they know they're at home. Maybe it's irrational, but I worry about how a dog will feel when they're left at someone else's house, especially if it's not something they're used to. When I stay at a client's home, the client can feel confident that their home and pet will be treated with the utmost care. I respect property and take care of any pet as if they were my own. I sympathize with the stress an animal may feel when their pack is somewhere else, so I do everything possible to ensure the pet is happy in your absence.

In between walks and feeding, we have lots of toys, interactive activities, and snuggles to keep your pup occupied and happy. Our dog Zuko is everyone’s best friend and loves every dog he meets. Zuko is happy to zoom around with your pup, or bum out on the couch. Whether your dog wants to go on multiple walks, trips to the park, or sunbathe on the balcony, we can do it all! We treat our dog like royalty, and can ensure yours will be too. Sebastien works from home full time and Olivia is a graduate physical therapy student. Between the two of us, your pup will have constant attention and care as needed. Our flexible schedule allows for lots of potty breaks and playtime. We live on the second floor of our building, requiring one flight of stairs for your pup to walk up. Please keep this in mind if your dog is unable to get up safely and/or cannot be easily carried up. Our sincerest apologies.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Cardiff
Cindy’s love for animals was apparent during our meet and greet. Bella LOVED her and immediately asked for pets and belly rubs as soon as she walked in the door! Cindy was very conscientious about asking questions about Bella’s care, she was very reliable and showed up twice a day on time and sent the most ADORABLE pics of Bella playing and having fun. My cat means a lot to me and I don’t like to leave her, and Cindy put my mind at ease that she was given proper attention in my absence. I recommend Cindy to anyone needing quality pet care!

Emily was a very attentive and responsive cat sitter, especially considering our request was very last minute. She really went the extra mile checking to make sure her automatic litter box cleaner was functioning correctly and when she noticed it wasn’t working with me to help troubleshoot it. Would recommend anyone looking for reliable pet care!
Nycole was fantastic. One of the best pet sitters we've had. Our cats are friendly, but can be somewhat reserved to strangers. They took to Nycole immediately, even letting her hold them. Nycole was responsible, timely, and professional. She spent a good deal of time playing & entertaining the cats during her visits. Nycole asked if we needed any small extra efforts, such brining in patio furniture before an upcoming storm. Nycole is 5 stars all the way!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
