“Shelby was an absolutely wonderful cat sitter for my cat, Miki! From the moment we connected, she was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. She made sure Miki was comfortable, well-fed, and loved while I was away, and I could tell Miki felt safe and happy with her. Shelby sent thoughtful updates and gave me total peace of mind. I would 100% trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, dependable pet sitter.”

About: I've lived with and cared for all manner of animals for the better part of 30 years now. I also previously worked at a dog boarding facility. I currently have two German shorthair pointers, Wade and Aurora as well as a cat, Bastilla. As a pet owner, I build my entire routine around my pets and their needs. More often than not if I'm leaving the house to run an errand it is somehow pet related. When it comes to pet care in someone else's home the main thing for me is respect. Both in regards to the physical boundaries they set as well as their preferences in regards to pet care. Some pets are allowed on the furniture, or they have a very specific routine or schedule they follow. At the end of the day, I consider myself to be an extremely flexible and accommodating person in regards to caring for others' pets.
About: Hi! I’ve been around animals my whole life—growing up with both cats and dogs taught me early how to care for pets with love and patience. Over the years, I’ve been the go-to sitter for my friends whenever they go out of town, whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, or just making sure their pets feel comfortable and cared for. I understand that every pet has its own personality and needs, and I always do my best to match their energy and routines. Whether your furry friend is energetic and playful or more laid-back and shy, I’ve got them covered! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits. I’m available for regular walks, drop-ins, or extended care depending on your pet’s needs. I keep my availability up to date and do my best to be reliable and consistent, so you can count on me to stick to your pet’s routine. I’m also happy to coordinate a schedule that works best for you. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with respect and follow all instructions closely—from feeding routines and walk preferences to any special needs or behaviors. I take extra care to ensure doors, gates, and crates are always secure, and I never leave pets unattended longer than agreed. I stay attentive during walks and in the home to keep your pet safe at all times. You can expect clear communication and regular updates, so you always know how your pet is doing and can feel confident they’re in good hands.
About: I had 2 dogs with disabilities who recently passed, so I am very good at handling high maintenance pets. I also have done dog and cat sitting In my neighborhood for the last 5 years. I do anything ranging from stopping by to feed and play, long walks, short walks, all the way to daycare and overnight boarding I do have a part time job, but it’s only certain days per week, and I live with my parents, and my mom works from home and also loves dogs, meaning she can take care when I am at work. I love to go on walks and go to the beach and love to take furry friends along with me. I dont have a fenced yard, but I have a fenced balcony area that most dogs love to hangout on. I don’t have a crate that I can provide, but my house is 3 stories and I can constrict your pet to one floor of needed

About: I grew up with dogs, both big and small, including my own as well as fostered puppies my whole life. I am home sick and missing loving my furry friends at home. I currently work from home 5 days a week and have a flexible schedule. I live a very active lifestyle and love to go on walks. I have a very pet friendly environment and have taken care of multiple of my friends dogs. My apartment is animal friendly with space, comfortability, and allows us to tend to animal needs.
About: I started dog walking and pet sitting 5 years ago. Desiring a dog of my own, my private yoga and Pilates clients started saying "watch mine!" and quickly I became booked for dog sitting most weekends and almost all summer. I grew up with horses and three dogs so I am very comfortable around animals of all kinds. A former Division I volleyball player, I'm active and love taking a daily walk or two listening to a podcast, so I might as well bring a dog along! I'm single and do not have children so my schedule is flexible. I do work in person in an office in Cardiff but am able to care for dogs before work, at lunch, and after work. My weekends are free. I do not care for pets in my own home but am happy to care for them in their own homes whether it is coming over for a visit or walk or dogsitting/catsitting and staying the night.

I’m experienced with different personalities, energy levels, and routines, and I’m happy to follow any specific instructions to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved! I’m able to be reliable, attentive, and flexible to your pet’s routine and needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I also love providing updates and photos for peace of mind while you’re away.

Simone is wonderful! She took such great care of our senior golden retriever…feeding, walking, and giving her medicine, massages and lots of special attention. Simone is very trustworthy, responsive and communicative, and she sent me photos every day. I recommend her 100%

Cindy’s love for animals was apparent during our meet and greet. Bella LOVED her and immediately asked for pets and belly rubs as soon as she walked in the door! Cindy was very conscientious about asking questions about Bella’s care, she was very reliable and showed up twice a day on time and sent the most ADORABLE pics of Bella playing and having fun. My cat means a lot to me and I don’t like to leave her, and Cindy put my mind at ease that she was given proper attention in my absence. I recommend Cindy to anyone needing quality pet care!

Ari is EXCEPTIONAL!!! We have a VERY uncomfortable 11 yr old pup and do not ever leave her alone. She warmed up to Ari extremely fast. Her communication was excellent. You can instantly tell her love for pups (animals) Couldn’t be happier finding her on this App. We will absolutely be using her in the future and are thrilled with the peace of mind knowing our pup is in incredible hands ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Emily was a very attentive and responsive cat sitter, especially considering our request was very last minute. She really went the extra mile checking to make sure her automatic litter box cleaner was functioning correctly and when she noticed it wasn’t working with me to help troubleshoot it. Would recommend anyone looking for reliable pet care!
Cary is a wonderful caring petsitter. She was just the right person to stay with our shy, quirky, older Bernese Mountain Dog. She understood that our girl is shy and needed to make the first moves to become friends, which Cary understood and they became good friends. Communication was great, lots of cute pics from walks and chilling out. 100% happy, 100% would use her again. Highly recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
