About: Rover I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I was raised on a ranch, so being around and caring for animals has always felt very natural to me. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, from little lap dogs to much larger breeds, as well as senior dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I’m comfortable administering medications and following specific routines, and I understand how important consistency can be—for older dogs or pets who are happiest when things feel familiar. Most of all, I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. Whether we’re out for a good walk, enjoying some fresh air, or simply keeping each other company, I want them to feel safe, comfortable and well cared for. I live in the village and happy to take your baby for long walks if suitable for them. The journey of life is sweeter when traveled with a dog. I’m self-employed and work from home, giving me a very flexible schedule. With a little advance notice, I can easily accommodate walks and pet care. I’m respectful of your home and your pet’s routine, ensuring safe, calm pick-ups and returns while following any specific instructions you provide for their care.

About: I have extensive experience with many breeds and special needs dogs. I adopted and raised Paco, a Dutch Shepherd mix dog who passed away at 14 years old in Feb./2025. I nursed and managed him through 2 ACL surgeries since 2020. I also had a Maltese poodle mix, Bella, who has had both eyes removed due to glaucoma. She lived with Paco for six years and passed away at 15 years old in Oct. 2024. I currently live with Zeus, a mixed breed Dutch Shepherd who I adopted in May 2025. He is 4 years old and is very well socialized with people and other dogs. My residence and boarding location is Carlsbad (Garfield St). I have provided services at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar, the Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa, L'Auberge Del Mar, La Valencia Hotel (La Jolla), Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, and the Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla. Rates: $120 minimum per night UC Irvine MBA / Retired Operations VP I currently take care of of one dog full-time and can board one dog at a time for overnight or day care seven days a week. I have a 600 sq/ft., one bedroom apartment with a fully enclosed and secured outdoor area that is approximately 250 square feet. I use the outdoor area primarily for short term potty breaks, but generally take larger dogs on walks rather than having them go in the outdoor area, to keep this area clean and sanitary.

About: Hi, I’m Laurissa! I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for everything from playful 20 pound pups to gentle 95 pound dogs, as well as both energetic puppies and senior dogs who need extra patience and love. I have hands-on experience with leash training, crate training, and teaching basic commands like sit, stay, and recall. I focus on patience and positive reinforcement so pets feel confident and secure. I’m also comfortable bathing dogs of any coat type and have all the supplies to keep them fresh and clean. Rescue work has always been a big part of my life and I’ve fostered both dogs and cats, which has given me experience caring for pets with very different personalities and needs. At home I currently have my dog Bean, two cats named Pickle and Berry, and nine chickens. Living with so many different pets has taught me how to balance their routines and make sure each one feels safe, loved, and cared for. Whether your pet needs a walk, help with training, a cozy crate routine, or just cuddles and playtime, I’ll treat them like part of my own family. We have a fully fenced backyard along with an enclosed garden space depending on your pets needs. I’m currently a full time student in Carlsbad. As long as we can coordinate ahead of time I can be as flexible as possible! I provide care in your home so your pets can stay in a familiar, comfortable environment. I follow their regular routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any training or crate routines you’d like me to continue. I’m experienced with leash training, crate training, and reinforcing basic commands, so I’m happy to help keep up with consistency. For dogs, I make sure they get plenty of exercise and attention, whether that’s walks, play, or just companionship. For cats, I’m attentive to their needs and personalities, from active play to quiet company, and I always keep up with litter box cleaning and feeding schedules. I’m also comfortable administering medications if needed, providing baths for dogs of any coat type, and handling special instructions you leave for your pets. My goal is to make sure they feel loved, safe, and cared for while you’re away, just as if you were home with them.

The check-ins she provided were lovely, and it was nice seeing my cat taken well care of in the pictures she provides. At several points throughout the week, I had asked her for a few non-pet house related favors, and she was more than happy to oblige. I am a hospitality professional ON A BREAK/CAREER TRANSITION- I’m 100% free from work ties. ..my days are filled with: early mornings, long walks, cooking, reading and generally just enjoying the beautiful sunny days. I have over 20 years of animal care (mine and others) - small farm animals, domestic animals etc. My dog of 14 years passed away 4 years ago and I am not quite ready for another so I find joy in animal care for others for the time being. I'm so excited by the opportunity to work with your dogs, since this is my passion and brings me the most joy. My goal is to keep things as normal as possible for the pet while the owner is away, so I follow whatever routine is already in place: feeding times, walk schedule, and any specific instructions left for me. For house sitting, I stay at your home so your pet keeps their usual environment, bed, and yard instead of adjusting to somewhere new. For walks and drop-ins, I stick closely to the schedule you set and give the pet real attention during each visit. I send photo or text updates so you know how things went while you're away. If you leave specific instructions, I follow them exactly rather than improvising.
