About: I’ve taken care of dogs of many different breeds for the last 8-10 years. I love dogs and currently have one 8 month old shepherd rescue that I have been (mostly) independently training at home as well as 2 cats- one whom is 6 years that I adopted when she was only 8 weeks and another that was a stray that my husband & I took in. All our animals are very loved and having them be a part of our lives has been our favorite adventure together 🥰 I am working at a school this year & going back around mid August but during this summer I will be available to check in/walk your dogs throughout the week because I know a busy workday can be stressful when you have your pets at home that would love attention & fun. Whatever your scheduling need is, I would love to discuss how I can be that best fit for you & your fur babies! Since I already have my dog to walk 2-3 times a day, I would love to be able to bring your dog along with us! My trailer park has a private park and is along an easy accessible trail so I can definitely bring your dog here or wherever you prefer we go! I am close by San Marcos and have taken my dog to Bradley Park and Discovery Lake so we would love to bring your fur babies along too!

About: I’m a biologist and animal lover with +30 years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I had my first dog at age 7, adopted a reactive dog in my 20s, and currently share my life with an 8 year old dog, so I truly understand how different every animal can be. For the past 3 years, I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family, caring for senior dogs, reactive dogs, and everything in between. Because I work remotely and do this full-time, I’m home most of the day and able to offer consistent attention without leaving your pet alone for long periods of time. I adjust my energy to match each dog, happy to be playful with energetic pups, or slow and gentle with seniors and sensitive dogs. When house sitting, I keep routines as consistent as possible, so pets feel safe and secure. I also have experience caring for cats and small animals. I enjoy using enrichment toys and puzzles with my dog as I have seen how helpful mental enrichment can be for keeping dogs calm and happy, so I’m comfortable using these tools. With my background in biology, I pay close attention to body language and stress signals and always approach pets with patience, care, and respect. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. If you give me the opportunity, I’ll do my best to make sure your pup feels safe, understood, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I've had pets my whole life and I love ALL animals. I think it all started when my parents adopted a kitten when I was six and I would dress up the kitty in doll clothes and take her everywhere she was allowed to go! I always considered myself a cat-person, but when my mom brought home a puppy from a coworker many years ago, I took care of him like he was my own and sure enough he became my dog! I currently own one dog, two cats and a leopard gecko and they certainly make life more interesting with their individual personalities. My family has always called me the "animal-lover" because I'm the one who would frequently bring home animals that needed to be re-homed. I could never say no to anyone who asked if I could take in an animal, and if I couldn't keep them, then I would try to find someone else who could. I have much experience walking friend's, relative's, and coworker's dogs when they were on vacation. My most recent experience, for the past few years, has been dog-sitting a coworker's massive-sized Goldendoodle when he leaves town for Thanksgiving and other holidays. I give him food and water, take him out for long walks around his area and provide exercise at the park playing fetch and running around. I also fostered a sweet senior Pomeranian for a lady who was in the hospital a couple years ago and I've walked and dog-sat for many friend's over the years. People always ask me for petcare needs because they know I love animals, they trust me, and I don't have kids so they know I'm usually available. These were all good experiences that enriched my life and helped me know how to handle different pet situations. It makes me feel good knowing that I am helping either a dog get outside to relieve itself and feel the warmth of the sun or spend quality time with a cat while its person is away. I'm currently working part-time on a random schedule so I have plenty of availability to take dogs out for walks, check in on them for potty breaks, and provide stimulation and exercise. I live in a townhouse with a small backyard and a really high fence that is very secure for pets. I have a few different sized kennels to crate dogs who are most comfortable this way. There is plenty of room for pets to stay and pet gates throughout the house when needed to fence off certain areas or separate pets if needed.

About: I have personal experience caring for two dogs, including one who lived to be 16 years old, so I understand the patience and attention senior dogs may need. I also regularly dog-sit for relatives and have cared for dogs of many different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m a college student currently on summer break, so I’m home throughout the day and have plenty of time to give pets attention and care. I have reliable transportation and am available on weekdays after 10 a.m. I have a secure fenced yard and a small-to-medium crate available if needed. My neighborhood is quiet and comfortable for walks, with several dog-friendly parks nearby for exercise and playtime.

About: I am new to Rover but not new to pet or house sitting in general. I have sat dogs and cats while family and friends have gone on extended vacations. I am fully background checked (teacher by trade). I love to go on walks and am great with consistency/expectations if your dog is in a training program. I am a teacher who is off for the summer with no vacation plans! I can dedicate a lot of time to checking on your cat or taking care of your dog. Dogs will have the run of the downstairs and opportunities for backyard play during the day but will be expected to stay crated/in pen at night. Feedings happen on the schedule you provide and dogs will get at least two walks a day. Doggos will be treated like they belong in my house. If interested in drop ins for cat care, I will play with your cat, provide pets and head scritches, check on food and water, and remove litter box waste. It is important to me that your pets feel safe and that their routine isn’t disrupted too much. So a meet and greet for us to both feel comfortable about your pet’s care is a must!

About: I have three senior dogs who require daily medication. I am competent at administering medications, such as insulin injections, pills, ear and eye drops, and topical medications. I have also pet sit for families with elderly animals with special food requirements. In addition I currently work at a dog dare care/ resort where I watch dogs in a group setting, feed a variety of different dogs with different diets, and clean any dog related mess. I am a big dog lover with a flexible schedule and active lifestyle. I have a very flexible schedule where my afternoons are free most days. I have soccer practice in the mornings and class Tuesday and Thursdays at night. I have stayed in clients homes on different occasions, where I am very clean, respectful, and responsible. I always leave the home cleaner then when I arrived.

I’ve taken care of over 100 exotic animals during an internship for an animal rescue facility. About: I’ve had dogs since I was 10 years old. I’ve lived and raised 3 since then. Two mini babies and one large baby, although he acts like a mini one. They currently do not live with me, but I miss them every day and I want to give that love and affection to your fur babies, as someone who spends their phone battery rewatching videos or facetiming my own dogs. I’m very patient and disciplined with dogs and their needs, and I’m a firm believer that every dog should get hugs and attention. We’re their whole world! But if you’re not able to, don’t worry I can! More recently, I became a foster mommy for two animal shelters in san diego. Every now and then, I’ll have a foster in my home but I make sure they get along with dogs before taking them in. If your dog does not get along with other dogs, don’t worry! Feel free to still message me because some days I don’t have any dogs with me at all. I work a full-time remote job - 5 days a week. Every hour, I make sure I stand or get a good walk in. I would love to do that with a furry friend! Additionally, I can work anywhere on my laptop as long as there’s wifi, and I can definitely do it while caring for your pup. There are a lot of daily habits I do because I spent majority of my life with dogs. Some examples include: not leaving food near the edge of counters, not leaving trash out in the open, closing all doors to rooms they’re not allowed in, and only letting them eat food that is part of their normal diet. I’m very disciplined when it comes to training or following their schedule or diet.
