“Dana is a lifesaver!! I was nervous about leaving my new pup with someone new, but she's been absolutely fantastic!! I can go to work with peace of mind knowing that Tamayo is in great hands!”

“Lauren was great! I booked last minute and was unsure if I was going to be able to find a sitter to meet all expectations. I definitely would recommend her service. Very kind, thorough, and gave my senior dog the attention he needs (medications, feeding, a walk, & love). Thank you Lauren!!!”

“Mackenzie was an absolute gem and I would absolutely book her again. Smart, timely, efficient and caring, she is the perfect sitter. When there was a problem she offered a solution. She took care of my cat, Bella, with ease and made sure to follow my instructions exactly. Excellent sitter!”

About: I’m a biologist and animal lover with +30 years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I had my first dog at age 7, adopted a reactive dog in my 20s, and currently share my life with an 8 year old dog, so I truly understand how different every animal can be. For the past 3 years, I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family, caring for senior dogs, reactive dogs, and everything in between. Because I work remotely and do this full-time, I’m home most of the day and able to offer consistent attention without leaving your pet alone for long periods of time. I adjust my energy to match each dog, happy to be playful with energetic pups, or slow and gentle with seniors and sensitive dogs. When house sitting, I keep routines as consistent as possible, so pets feel safe and secure. I also have experience caring for cats and small animals. I enjoy using enrichment toys and puzzles with my dog as I have seen how helpful mental enrichment can be for keeping dogs calm and happy, so I’m comfortable using these tools. With my background in biology, I pay close attention to body language and stress signals and always approach pets with patience, care, and respect. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. If you give me the opportunity, I’ll do my best to make sure your pup feels safe, understood, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Claudia did an amazing job taking care of my two cats! She made sure they were fed, litter box cleaned and gave them some love every visit. Pictures and updates were nice to have and it looked like my two boys really enjoyed her company during each visit. Will definitely be rebooking!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of many different breeds for the last 8-10 years. I love dogs and currently have one 8 month old shepherd rescue that I have been (mostly) independently training at home as well as 2 cats- one whom is 6 years that I adopted when she was only 8 weeks and another that was a stray that my husband & I took in. All our animals are very loved and having them be a part of our lives has been our favorite adventure together 🥰 I am working at a school this year & going back around mid August but during this summer I will be available to check in/walk your dogs throughout the week because I know a busy workday can be stressful when you have your pets at home that would love attention & fun. Whatever your scheduling need is, I would love to discuss how I can be that best fit for you & your fur babies! Since I already have my dog to walk 2-3 times a day, I would love to be able to bring your dog along with us! My trailer park has a private park and is along an easy accessible trail so I can definitely bring your dog here or wherever you prefer we go! I am close by San Marcos and have taken my dog to Bradley Park and Discovery Lake so we would love to bring your fur babies along too!
“Thanks Jessica, appreciate you being able to come do a drop in visit for Batu with short notice. He looked happy to see you in the pictures you sent me and was his usual awesome self when I got home. Will definitely use you in the future if you’re available. Thanks again”

“Eric was absolutely amazing not only was he great at communicating, sending photos, and overall greatness he also was available last min and I truly appreciated it! Thank you Eric will definitely use again!”

“Jessica is our favorite sitter!! She’s a miracle worker, getting my shy cats to snuggle right up to her, and sending me the cutest pictures. She’s absolutely amazing. So grateful!”

“Veronica was amazing! I am so happy I chose her to watch Lucy. She played with her, fed her, and even took my trash out because I was gone for over a week. So incredibly nice and personable, and I will definitely be hiring her for all future check ins. ”
“We are very happy with the way Mark took care of our fur babies. Mark followed instructions accurately. Furthermore, he was able to connect with the animals which made our vacation less stressful. Our dog is very social, but the fact that the cat started trusting him and showing up was a pleasant surprise. We are very grateful to Mark and would certainly recommend him. Thanks again and best of luck ??”

“Amazing as always. Breanna has such a kind heart and takes very good care of my Bella. Food, water, litter, pets all handled perfectly. Bella is always in a good mood when I come home and that is a sign that she is well taken care of.”

“Such a great experience. Heather was super communicative, patient, and followed all of Tank’s care instructions exactly. Tank was happy and well‑cared for. We absolutely recommend her and will book again.”

About: Hello! My name is Sam and I’ve been taking of cats since I was 8 years old, then I got a dog at 14 and started caring for him as well. I have had five total cats, and I own a Yorkshire terrier, whom I walk everyday. Family members and friends have relied on me to pet sit and all were very satisfied with the job I had done. Animals have always made life so much more enjoyable for me and I just want to return the favor by making them happy :) I only work a few days at my other job so my schedule is predominantly open. My days often include caring for and cleaning up after my three cats and a dog. I will be working outside of my house by visiting your home, walking and caring for your pets in the comfort of their own space.

About: I have tons of experience with all kinds of animals. I have loved and cared for: -kittens, senior cats, and pregnant cats -puppies, senior dogs, and pregnant dogs I’ve also had birds, fish, and bunnies. I have also volunteered with horses and other farm animals, although I’ve never personally owned any. I am currently a college student and a manager at an ice cream shop. I’m looking to help my community and fill my time! I work most days but, most of my classes are online. I am willing to be flexible! I am very particular when it comes to client care. I don’t believe you can “spoil” an animal because they’re our babies! Let’s take care of them the best we can together. Any requests for pet care are fine by me as long as the animal is safe and happy! My animals(I have 3 dogs and 2 cats) all get along well, are fed well, and regularly see a vet.
“Let’s was very patient with our skittish dogs and she worked on having them warm up to her more each day. She left daily updates and pictures to show how they were doing each day. She did a great job of making them feel safe and comfortable. We would love to have her pet sit for us again and highly recommend her!”

Marin was an outstanding cat sitter! She took wonderful care of our cat while we were away for a few weeks and gave me complete peace of mind. She was reliable, communicative, and sent regular updates with photos after each visit, which I really appreciated. When we got home, our cat was happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I highly recommend Marin to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter. I would absolutely book her again!
Brittney is an amazing cat sitter for my older kitty! She did everything I ask her and more! When ants invaded Cuties dry food she went out and bought more for her!I She also gave Cutie lots of attention with playing and brushing her! I will definitely use her service again.

Kateryna is wonderful! This was my first Rover since moving to San Marcos so I was naturally a little nervous leaving my babies with someone new. She sent photos every day and I was so happy to see she got my shy kitty out playing! She also gave my older kitty his medication twice a day! Definitely 5 stars and would recommend her!

This was my first time using rover, I was nervous and have a lot of anxiety about leaving my cats when I booked my cruise. I could not be happier with the experience with Shelby. She was so kind, compassionate and communicative. I looked forward to her updates/ photos on vacation and gave me so much piece of mind. I truley know my kitties were in the most loving hands and I would recommend her 100% to anyone who wants top notch animal care. Thank you Shelby ❤️

This was the 1st time leaving my kitts for days. Jenny was a perfect fit😅 She met them before pet sitting & was very reassuring to me. My Kitts walked right up to her💛 Jenny is a great communicator & has excellent photography skills! I’ll definitely be reaching out to her again!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
