About: I’m a biologist and animal lover with +30 years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I had my first dog at age 7, adopted a reactive dog in my 20s, and currently share my life with an 8 year old dog, so I truly understand how different every animal can be. For the past 3 years, I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family, caring for senior dogs, reactive dogs, and everything in between. Because I work remotely and do this full-time, I’m home most of the day and able to offer consistent attention without leaving your pet alone for long periods of time. I adjust my energy to match each dog, happy to be playful with energetic pups, or slow and gentle with seniors and sensitive dogs. When house sitting, I keep routines as consistent as possible, so pets feel safe and secure. I also have experience caring for cats and small animals. I enjoy using enrichment toys and puzzles with my dog as I have seen how helpful mental enrichment can be for keeping dogs calm and happy, so I’m comfortable using these tools. With my background in biology, I pay close attention to body language and stress signals and always approach pets with patience, care, and respect. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. If you give me the opportunity, I’ll do my best to make sure your pup feels safe, understood, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of many different breeds for the last 8-10 years. I love dogs and currently have one 8 month old shepherd rescue that I have been (mostly) independently training at home as well as 2 cats- one whom is 6 years that I adopted when she was only 8 weeks and another that was a stray that my husband & I took in. All our animals are very loved and having them be a part of our lives has been our favorite adventure together 🥰 I am working at a school this year & going back around mid August but during this summer I will be available to check in/walk your dogs throughout the week because I know a busy workday can be stressful when you have your pets at home that would love attention & fun. Whatever your scheduling need is, I would love to discuss how I can be that best fit for you & your fur babies! Since I already have my dog to walk 2-3 times a day, I would love to be able to bring your dog along with us! My trailer park has a private park and is along an easy accessible trail so I can definitely bring your dog here or wherever you prefer we go! I am close by San Marcos and have taken my dog to Bradley Park and Discovery Lake so we would love to bring your fur babies along too!

I also have experience working on a ranch caring for livestock, so I’m comfortable with animals of all ages, sizes, and personalities and understand the importance of reliable, attentive care. About: I am new to Rover but not new to pet or house sitting in general. I have sat dogs and cats while family and friends have gone on extended vacations. I am fully background checked (teacher by trade). I love to go on walks and am great with consistency/expectations if your dog is in a training program. I am a teacher who is off for the summer with no vacation plans! I can dedicate a lot of time to checking on your cat or taking care of your dog. Dogs will have the run of the downstairs and opportunities for backyard play during the day but will be expected to stay crated/in pen at night. Feedings happen on the schedule you provide and dogs will get at least two walks a day. Doggos will be treated like they belong in my house. If interested in drop ins for cat care, I will play with your cat, provide pets and head scritches, check on food and water, and remove litter box waste. It is important to me that your pets feel safe and that their routine isn’t disrupted too much. So a meet and greet for us to both feel comfortable about your pet’s care is a must!

My neighbors have always relied and trusted me to care and support any of their animals at anytime - ranging from cats to snakes. I’m currently home for college and only taking online summer classes so I have pretty full availability to assist with long walks, weekly checkups, whatever is needed for satisfaction! About: I spent several years house/dog sitting for friends and family and decided to go more professional a few years ago! I have experience sitting/walking dogs from Great Danes to Chihuahuas, from 3 month old puppies with frequent potty breaks, to senior pups with medication needs. They are all welcome here! I also work at an emergency veterinary hospital so I’m around animals all day and have experience with health and safety for animals. I now have a doggo named Ronin and He’s a Shiba Inu. He’s not the most adventurous boy but he does love to play fetch at the dog park and he’s very calm and loving. Can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies :) I currently work full time at an emergency veterinary hospital, so I like to make sure any pets I’m watching are able to be left alone for 8 hours during the day. Other than that, I’ll be with your baby to give them lots of love and attention! I follow any routines/house rules that the owners have so that the pups are always in the best situation. Any safety concerns are discussed with the owner.

About: I've had pets my whole life and I love ALL animals. I think it all started when my parents adopted a kitten when I was six and I would dress up the kitty in doll clothes and take her everywhere she was allowed to go! I always considered myself a cat-person, but when my mom brought home a puppy from a coworker many years ago, I took care of him like he was my own and sure enough he became my dog! I currently own one dog, two cats and a leopard gecko and they certainly make life more interesting with their individual personalities. My family has always called me the "animal-lover" because I'm the one who would frequently bring home animals that needed to be re-homed. I could never say no to anyone who asked if I could take in an animal, and if I couldn't keep them, then I would try to find someone else who could. I have much experience walking friend's, relative's, and coworker's dogs when they were on vacation. My most recent experience, for the past few years, has been dog-sitting a coworker's massive-sized Goldendoodle when he leaves town for Thanksgiving and other holidays. I give him food and water, take him out for long walks around his area and provide exercise at the park playing fetch and running around. I also fostered a sweet senior Pomeranian for a lady who was in the hospital a couple years ago and I've walked and dog-sat for many friend's over the years. People always ask me for petcare needs because they know I love animals, they trust me, and I don't have kids so they know I'm usually available. These were all good experiences that enriched my life and helped me know how to handle different pet situations. It makes me feel good knowing that I am helping either a dog get outside to relieve itself and feel the warmth of the sun or spend quality time with a cat while its person is away. I'm currently working part-time on a random schedule so I have plenty of availability to take dogs out for walks, check in on them for potty breaks, and provide stimulation and exercise. I live in a townhouse with a small backyard and a really high fence that is very secure for pets. I have a few different sized kennels to crate dogs who are most comfortable this way. There is plenty of room for pets to stay and pet gates throughout the house when needed to fence off certain areas or separate pets if needed.
