“Lori is a natural caretaker. She provided so much love and attention to Zara, my standard poodle. I could see how much fun Zara was having through the photogenic pictures Lori sent each day. Lori's 1-acre of land is such a plus for the dogs to run and play. At the end of the stay, Zara and Lori were both sad to part. That speaks volumes about the wonderful level of care your pet will receive while staying with Lori. Book her now!”

“Sana and her family were great with our little brat. She kept a good amount of daily updates and was very quick to communicate with any questions we had. Bentley came home happy and content. Thank you family for caring for our old baby.”

About: I am new to Rover but not new to pet or house sitting in general. I have sat dogs and cats while family and friends have gone on extended vacations. I am fully background checked (teacher by trade). I love to go on walks and am great with consistency/expectations if your dog is in a training program. I am a teacher who is off for the summer with no vacation plans! I can dedicate a lot of time to checking on your cat or taking care of your dog. Dogs will have the run of the downstairs and opportunities for backyard play during the day but will be expected to stay crated/in pen at night. Feedings happen on the schedule you provide and dogs will get at least two walks a day. Doggos will be treated like they belong in my house. If interested in drop ins for cat care, I will play with your cat, provide pets and head scritches, check on food and water, and remove litter box waste. It is important to me that your pets feel safe and that their routine isn’t disrupted too much. So a meet and greet for us to both feel comfortable about your pet’s care is a must!
“This was my first time using Rover and Christopher made the experience very seamless and stress-free! He was great about answering all of my questions, was very responsive, and sent a ton of photos and videos throughout my pup's stay. I can tell my pup had a great time by his attitude when I picked him up. He seemed like he had a fun time at Christopher. Will definitely be returning :)”

“So grateful that my mini goldendoodle, Bauer, was well taken cared of. I received pictures/video daily with an update of how Bauer is doing. I will definitely have a my dog stay again in the future. Thank you so much!”

“Robert and Andrea were very accommodating, I needed to board my Atlas last minute for thanksgiving and they were able to take her. I got photo updates of her and she came back a happy pup. Thank you!”

About: Animals have been part of my life since I was little — I grew up with six dogs and started caring for them on my own around age 10. It was never a chore. I genuinely loved it. Since then I’ve looked after pets for friends, family, and neighbors, and that same feeling has never gone away. I do drop-in visits, walks, and boarding. Your pet is welcome to stay in my home, where they’ll be treated like family — not just watched over, but truly loved. I give a lot of affection and I make sure every animal feels safe, seen, and cared for. I’m trained in pet first aid and CPR, can handle oral and injected medications, and have experience with senior animals and pets with special needs. Whatever your pet needs, I’ll show up for them. I know leaving your pet with someone new can feel hard. I just want you to feel at ease — and I want your animal to feel loved while you’re gone. I’m currently studying psychology online, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet real attention. I’m available for boarding on weekdays and weekends, and I offer drop-in visits and walks in the morning or afternoon — any day of the week. Your pet is welcome to stay in my home, where everything is calm, clean, and safe. I can also come to your home if that’s what’s most comfortable for your pet. Either way, I’m respectful of their routine and give them plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I always clean up after myself and make sure your animal feels at ease the whole time you’re away.
“Pepper had so much fun. This sitter updated me constantly and sent me pictures throughout the days. My dog had so much fun and felt so comfortable with this sitter. I didn’t have to worry about the safety or wellbeing of my pepper with Gabi. Gabi was super quick to respond to me and asked permission before taking my pepper anywhere. I will absolutely use Gabi again and recommend her to anyone that’s using Rover! This was my first time using rover and this experience really set the tone for the app! Amazing dog sitter!!”

“Evan was great! Our normal dog sitter cancelled right before our planned trip. In a frenzy, I came across the Rover app and gave it a try! Evan accepted our booking request even though we were booking at the very last minute! By last minute, I mean we dropped our dog, Jack, off at his house within 1/2 hour of booking! Evan and his family were very kind and our dog got on well with the other two dogs in the house. We received pictures and updates throughout the stay which made us feel better about leaving our pup with someone we didn’t know. I would book with Evan again!”

“Vicki was great with my 8 month old Aussie pup! He did an overnight stay with her. There was a bit of sorting out of things between my pup and her dog, and she handled the situation like a pro. When I came the next morning to pick up my guy the 2 were getting along like old buds. Vicki knows what she is doing. Highly recommend. Thanks!”

“I almost don’t want to say how amazing JT was because I want to keep him a secret! He was so great with our 2 dogs (1 of which is exceptionally timid) can’t say enough good things! It’s never easy to leave the fur babies but Jt made it much less difficult wort daily photos and check ins.”

“Erin is a very kind, caring, and professional pet sitter. I have a young puppy, and she took amazing care of Luna during her overnight stay. Not only is Erin knowledgeable about pet care, but she also went above and beyond to make sure Luna felt safe, comfortable, and loved while we were away. Since Luna is still a puppy and can be nervous in new environments, Erin took extra time to help her adjust. She even created a cozy sleeping space and set up a crate for her, which made a huge difference. Erin’s home is very pet-friendly, clean, safe, and well-organized, with everything needed to care for animals properly. I felt completely at ease knowing Luna was in such good hands. Honestly, Erin is one of the best pet sitters we’ve had so far, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pets. ☺️🫶🏼🐾”

“First time we had left our Puppy, Button. We were nervous. Diane was so friendly and Button was a little apprehensive. She sent several updates and pictures and when we return to pick him up, he was happy and well cared for and loves Diane. Recommendation direct from Button - She took good care of me, played with me and took me for a walk in her stroller. See you soon. Button”

“Amanda and her family were so great with Bogey, and on were super flexible on short notice. She was patient with him as he warmed up, provided updates (including pics and vids) multiple times a day. You can just tell they’re dog people, couldn’t recommend them more!”

“Thank you, Amy, for welcoming Benny Bears into your home and making him part of your family during his stay. My fur baby loved spending time with her son. Walks, & hanging out with Amy on the couch. Amy is great with clear communication, sending pictures, and making his stay feel like home. Bent is looking forward to his next stay! If this is your 1st time using Rover, highly recommend using Amy. As a 1st time user, Amy was the best choice for me and Benny Bears. Thank you so much! Blessed I found you! 🙏🐾🐾”

“Sofia did a great job of taking care of my two cats. She followed all of my instructions and even went beyond what I asked. She kept me updated and my cats looked perfectly happy in all the pictures she sent. Highly recommend.”

“We were very anxious to leave our cat Bambi alone for the weekend for the first time and even more stressed when our sitter fell through last minute. Dana was incredibly attentive and patiently accepted all of our requests for Bambi on short notice. I definitely felt so much more assured that Bambi wouldn’t be completely alone and would have someone as compassionate as Dana to accompany him :-) Dana’s updates on Bambi during check ins really reassured us that Bambi was doing well. and in good hands :-) i would definitely consider Dana again in the future ❤️”

About: Before having my own cats, I didn’t know how I felt about them but now that I have them- I could never imagine a life without them. I am a proud cat owner & would love to be able to meet and care for yours:)

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crystal was AMAZING we were gone all day and she sent so many pictures and good updates about potty breaks and food/water intake! She’s the best highly recommend. She even stayed 20min longer than scheduled to let them play a little longer!”

“Veronica was amazing! I am so happy I chose her to watch Lucy. She played with her, fed her, and even took my trash out because I was gone for over a week. So incredibly nice and personable, and I will definitely be hiring her for all future check ins. ”

About: • I have over 15 years of experience caring for pets, with most of my hands on experience being with cats. Over the years, I’ve cared for my own pets, helped family and friends with their pets, and also fostered cats. This has helped me understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. • I’m especially familiar with cats and their needs, including feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, and creating a calm, safe, and loving environment. I always pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and try to make them feel secure and comfortable in my care. If needed, I can also help with basic care and grooming, as long as the cat feels comfortable and not stressed. • For boarding, I have a dedicated spare room in my home that is completely reserved for visiting cats, so they can have their own quiet and comfortable space. I only accept one boarding family at a time and do not board other cats together, which helps create a more peaceful and low stress stay. Owners are welcome to bring their cat’s favorite toys, cat tree, litter box, or other familiar items to help them feel more at home. • My goal is always to provide gentle, attentive care and make each pet feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after while their owner is away.
“Mark was very attentive to our two kitties and sent HEAPS of update pics - super appreciated from two helicopter cat parents. He left the house in great condition and was wonderfully communicative. We can now book vacations with peace of mind knowing Mark has our back!! Thanks again :)”

About: I’m a biologist and animal lover with +30 years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I had my first dog at age 7, adopted a reactive dog in my 20s, and currently share my life with an 8 year old dog, so I truly understand how different every animal can be. For the past 3 years, I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family, caring for senior dogs, reactive dogs, and everything in between. Because I work remotely and do this full-time, I’m home most of the day and able to offer consistent attention without leaving your pet alone for long periods of time. I adjust my energy to match each dog, happy to be playful with energetic pups, or slow and gentle with seniors and sensitive dogs. When house sitting, I keep routines as consistent as possible, so pets feel safe and secure. I also have experience caring for cats and small animals. I enjoy using enrichment toys and puzzles with my dog as I have seen how helpful mental enrichment can be for keeping dogs calm and happy, so I’m comfortable using these tools. With my background in biology, I pay close attention to body language and stress signals and always approach pets with patience, care, and respect. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. If you give me the opportunity, I’ll do my best to make sure your pup feels safe, understood, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: Hello! I am willing to come do drop in visits for your cats while you are away! I know that cats do best when they stay in their own space with what they are comfortable with. In addition to having my own and taking care of my own pretty boy, Binx, I have experience in house sitting with kittens and taking care of senior cats who want more pets than play.

“Heather did a great job taking care of our senior kitty! She was communicative and took care of everything we needed while we were out of town on a week long work trip. Moonbeam is a shy cat and usually doesn't like strangers, but it's a testament to Heather's character that Moonbeam came out to say hello and allowed her pets and brushes!”

“Jessica was great with my two cats. I booked drop-in visits couple times a day. They required special handling and she followed everything to a T. My boys were in safe hands with her! Thank you Jessica!”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine connection I build with animals. My first experience caring for a cat was actually in Ecuador, where a stray cat started following me home. I began feeding her and caring for her, and she quickly became my little companion. That experience taught me how important patience, consistency, and love are—especially with cats, who can take time to trust. I bring that same level of care and attention to every pet I watch, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for.

“Lori was very friendly & had great communication. My pup Jewels had a good time playing with her two sweet dogs & had plenty space for Jewels to play. She sent me photos & videos of her having a good time. Lori was very accommodating to my dog & I would highly recommend! Thanks again Lori for taking good care of my pup. 🙂”

About: I have had pets for most of my life. My family and I currently have one very playful dog, two cats and a bearded dragon. I, along with my family, have cared for family, friends and neighbors pets for several years now. I work from home, usually only leaving during the day for a few minutes in the afternoon for school pickups (most days I take my dog with me) or the occasional quick errand. I take breaks throughout the day for indoor and outdoor pet play time and daily walks. While I am usually home, if I need to be away for a time there is almost always at least one family member home. When working, my office door is always open. I have a fenced yard for outdoor play time and potty breaks and plenty of sidewalks, trails and parks near my home for daily walks and places to explore.
“Aidni watched my dog after I created last minute plans. She was super accommodating and welcomed my dog into her home. My dog has an existing back/ neurological injury and normally after a dog sitter, his symptoms come back, but with Aidni, he returned home the same way he arrived. I will gladly book her again in the future and highly recommend her services!”

“Patrick and Cindy are amazing! Really knowledgeable, easy to communicate with and my dog loves going there to play with their other day care dogs. They have become a trusted sitter for us.”

“Kayla took wonderful care of our golden retriever, Willow, for the day. Willow immediately became part of the family, enjoying playtime with Kayla’s golden retriever and her kids. When we picked her up, she looked like she had spent the day at a spa—happy, relaxed, and beautifully cared for. It was obvious she felt completely at home and honestly seemed like she didn’t want to leave! We had total peace of mind knowing she was in such loving hands. Kayla and her family are amazing Rover hosts, and we highly recommend them.”

“Robert and Andrea were amazing. I was in the area for the first time for a short period, and they were very welcoming and accommodating. They took Rocky on such short notice and Robert was incredibly patient and understanding when Rocky initially struggled to adjust. Communication was great leading up to the appointment and during, and I really appreciated the photo update- it was reassuring. They made sure he was fed, got him out for a nice walk, and helped him burn off energy. He came back happy and settled—truly appreciate their care. Highly recommend!”

“I'm so glad I found Priscilla. She was able to accommodate a very last-minute booking and I'm so grateful she could help us out. My dog is a little timid and nervous around new people and situations. Priscilla was so patient and kind and my dog did great with her and her two pups. Priscilla was also flexible when our schedule changed, and she kept me updated throughout the day with great communication, which gave me so much peace of mind. I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again, and I highly recommend her.”

“Tiffany is the best! My two rescues had such a great time with her on the first day of doggy day care, and each time we return, they're excited as soon as I drive up. Tiffany has a very gentle calm way with the dogs, which I appreciate because both of my dogs have been abused and startle easily. Tiffany is absolutely the best!”

About: I've been caring for pets for years, beginning with my first dog when I was five. I grew up learning to care for animals and even more when we added a rescue dog to our family. I have also had experience caring for several types of animals including cats, guinea pigs, and rabbits. I am currently a third year at California State University San Marcos and provide care in El Dorado Hills when I am home for long breaks. I have a very open availability when I’m home and would love to fill some time by caring for your pets! I will follow any and all instructions you leave for me.

Thanks!”

“Amanda and her family were so great with Bogey, and on were super flexible on short notice. She was patient with him as he warmed up, provided updates (including pics and vids) multiple times a day. You can just tell they’re dog people, couldn’t recommend them more!”

“Our dog stayed with Kayla and her family while we were on vacation and she took such great care of her! Our dog got lots of attention and cuddles, which she loved, and we got lots of updates and pictures, which we appreciated. Highly recommend Kayla for your pet sitting needs!”

About: I have personal experience caring for two dogs, including one who lived to be 16 years old, so I understand the patience and attention senior dogs may need. I also regularly dog-sit for relatives and have cared for dogs of many different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m a college student currently on summer break, so I’m home throughout the day and have plenty of time to give pets attention and care. I have reliable transportation and am available on weekdays after 10 a.m. I have a secure fenced yard and a small-to-medium crate available if needed. My neighborhood is quiet and comfortable for walks, with several dog-friendly parks nearby for exercise and playtime.

“Enzo had a great stay at Angie's house. He was well taken care of and enjoyed playing with her Great Dane. Even though Angie's dog out weighs Enzo by about 80 lbs, he played very gently with him. Angie also kept in touch by sending me pictures and videos, which I really enjoyed. I will definitely use Angie again.”

“Bonnie was fantastic! She took such good care of our senior Pekingese, Raymond. He requires a lot of care and attention due to his medical issues and dementia, and Bonnie was great with him. She also provided frequent updates and cute pics of him. Her pup also got along great with Raymond, and really calmed him down even though he’s usually nervous around other dogs. All in all, a great experience with Bonnie!”

“Tatyanah and Everardo watched our dog Nova for five nights and took such wonderful care of her. They are so friendly and you can tell right away they love dogs. It was such a relief to know she was being loved and well cared for while we were on vacation. They have a spacious yard, and Nova especially enjoyed playing with their two dogs—she bonded quickly with Jojo! They took her on plenty of walks and kept us updated with lots of videos and pictures, which we really appreciated. We would absolutely love for them to watch her again next time we need a dog sitter!”

“Courtney was great! She took care of our anxious 6 month old golden doodle for 2 days. She was very communicative throughout her stay, sent photos, and even feed her using fun toys; as well as socialized her with other puppies. Extra bonus she's also a trainer and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!”

“This is our second time booking with Darcey. She truly wants to take the time to understand your dog’s quirks, and was so gentle and patient with ours. I loved getting her photo updates—it was comforting to see our dog so happy in the photos she sent. She was also very professional, always punctual and quick to answer any questions I had. If you need a caring, reliable dog sitter, Darcey is fantastic.”
