About: I’ve taken care of dogs of many different breeds for the last 8-10 years. I love dogs and currently have one 8 month old shepherd rescue that I have been (mostly) independently training at home as well as 2 cats- one whom is 6 years that I adopted when she was only 8 weeks and another that was a stray that my husband & I took in. All our animals are very loved and having them be a part of our lives has been our favorite adventure together 🥰 I am working at a school this year & going back around mid August but during this summer I will be available to check in/walk your dogs throughout the week because I know a busy workday can be stressful when you have your pets at home that would love attention & fun. Whatever your scheduling need is, I would love to discuss how I can be that best fit for you & your fur babies! Since I already have my dog to walk 2-3 times a day, I would love to be able to bring your dog along with us! My trailer park has a private park and is along an easy accessible trail so I can definitely bring your dog here or wherever you prefer we go! I am close by San Marcos and have taken my dog to Bradley Park and Discovery Lake so we would love to bring your fur babies along too!
“We were very anxious to leave our cat Bambi alone for the weekend for the first time and even more stressed when our sitter fell through last minute. Dana was incredibly attentive and patiently accepted all of our requests for Bambi on short notice. I definitely felt so much more assured that Bambi wouldn’t be completely alone and would have someone as compassionate as Dana to accompany him :-) Dana’s updates on Bambi during check ins really reassured us that Bambi was doing well. and in good hands :-) i would definitely consider Dana again in the future ❤️”

“I really appreciate Heather for stepping in to help me out to look out for Dolly. I would definitely use her in the future. she showed up on time and helped my mom and her dog out in assisted-living facility. Thank you Heather for your help.”

About: Hi! I’m your pet’s new favorite human 😉 and a reliable animal lover who loves keeping pets safe, happy, and comfortable. I grew up with cats and dogs and have become the go-to sitter for friends and family when they travel. I’m happy to care for pets based on their personalities—whether that’s walks, playtime, or quiet companionship. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities, and I’ll treat them like part of my own pack (or clowder 🐾). I work from home so I have a flexible schedule and open availability, including weekends and holidays, and I’m an early bird, so morning feedings, walks, and check-ins are no problem. I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s routine and provide consistent attention, care, and companionship to keep them safe, comfortable, and happy 🐾 Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities, and I follow their routine closely to create a calm, loving environment. I’m also tidy and respectful of your home, keeping things clean and organized while caring for your furry friend. 🐾
“Mackenzie was an absolute gem and I would absolutely book her again. Smart, timely, efficient and caring, she is the perfect sitter. When there was a problem she offered a solution. She took care of my cat, Bella, with ease and made sure to follow my instructions exactly. Excellent sitter!”

“Monica was great with my cats. She was patient with them and took the time to let them get to know her on their terms. She gave good updates and sent photos. I came hope to happy cats. I will absolutely have her pet sit again.”
“Bruno was amazing! One of our dog's is very apprehensive and a little scary when meeting new people and Bruno was not deterred. He was very communicative, provided lots of detailed updates, and many pictures. On a day that it was raining, Bruno checked it to ensure I still wanted the dogs to be in the backyard and offered to check in more frequently if it rained more heavily. I was able to have peace of mind while being out of town knowing the dogs were in great hands. 10000/10 would definitely recommend!”

About: Hello! I am a Registered Veterinary Technician with decades of experience caring for animals of all kinds. I have recently stepped away from full-time veterinary work to pursue my passion for behavior as I study to become a professional dog trainer. Caring for pets of all kinds has always been my passion, and I treat every dog as if they were my own! Whether your pet is young, senior, or has special needs, I can be counted on to provide safe, attentive, and loving care. My goal is to help your pets feel happy, comfortable, and loved when they are in my care. My experience and training offer owners piece of mind, while updates and photos keep you up to date on your pet's care. “Lauren was great! I booked last minute and was unsure if I was going to be able to find a sitter to meet all expectations. I definitely would recommend her service. Very kind, thorough, and gave my senior dog the attention he needs (medications, feeding, a walk, & love). Thank you Lauren!!!”

About: We both grew up loving and taking care of our family dogs. When I was in college, I often worked as a dog sitter for neighbors and friends. I was able to build a network who trusted me with their precious pooches. We are still in the process of trying to find a pup of our own but in the meantime, while working from home, we have plenty of time to care for your pet. You can expect lots of snapshots and frequent updates (as often as you’d like) to keep you posted. Whether your furry friend prefers to lounge on the couch or go exploring and running around, we're happy to do what makes them happy! We love hiking, exploring, and discovering the gems in our city! I work from home full time so have the ability and flexibility to be available for your pets needs. Since I am still looking for a dog of my own, it's a great way to love on pups and get my fill of activities with walks or downtime snuggling on the couch. When staying at my home or a client's, I will always follow their guidelines and rules in terms of what is allowed. Mine is a very dog friendly home so they are always welcome on furniture or in the bed as they see fit.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hidden Meadows. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
