About: I've lived with and cared for all manner of animals for the better part of 30 years now. I also previously worked at a dog boarding facility. I currently have two German shorthair pointers, Wade and Aurora as well as a cat, Bastilla. As a pet owner, I build my entire routine around my pets and their needs. More often than not if I'm leaving the house to run an errand it is somehow pet related. When it comes to pet care in someone else's home the main thing for me is respect. Both in regards to the physical boundaries they set as well as their preferences in regards to pet care. Some pets are allowed on the furniture, or they have a very specific routine or schedule they follow. I have fenced backyard and most of the time will walk in a safe dog friendly areas. About: I've had dogs in my life since I was 5. I grew up with Goldens, German Shephards and Labs mostly. I had a pug of my own as well as a black lab. I have 4 siblings and they all have 1-2 dogs and we all laugh that we treat them like humans ie: sometimes they eat better than us! (wink wink). More recently, I lived in a place that wouldn't allow dogs so I would get my dog fix going on my daily walks especially in Encinitas where they are everywhere. But I thought getting into dog sitting/walking would allow me to be around them even more. They are good for the soul. I work remotely and have a very flexible schedule. So I can be available for last minute things that may come up and I'm am able to be at the house/do walks often if needed. I walk about 2 hours a day as it is so it would be in even better addition to my routine to have a dog with me! I am unable to have pets in my home at the moment although that is going to change in the next few months. As far as coming to your home, I am very respectful, reliable and will treat your dog like it's my own.

Emily was a very attentive and responsive cat sitter, especially considering our request was very last minute. She really went the extra mile checking to make sure her automatic litter box cleaner was functioning correctly and when she noticed it wasn’t working with me to help troubleshoot it. Nycole was fantastic. One of the best pet sitters we've had. Our cats are friendly, but can be somewhat reserved to strangers. They took to Nycole immediately, even letting her hold them. Nycole was responsible, timely, and professional. She spent a good deal of time playing & entertaining the cats during her visits.
