About: I have been caring for animals since I was a child. I started pet sitting when I was 8 years old for our neighbors when they went out of town. I cared for their dogs, and a few litters of puppies. I have a deep rooted love for animals and their quirky personalities. I grew up with lots of animals in the house, multiple cats, frogs, and fish. I also spend lots of time at my aunt's house where they would have several dogs at a time. Playing with the dogs and running around the yard of some of my foundest memories. I currently have two cats, Mischka (13) and misty (12), and a dog Mikko (4). I’ve always been passionate about caring for animals. I have a B.S. in software engineering from CSUSM. A few years ago, I was living in NH, during that time I worked with Live Free Animal Rescue as an active foster. I was able to foster several dogs until I found their forever home I’m currently between jobs so I have plenty of time to devote to caring for dogs and cats, plus I love to walk! In constantly working with my own dog on her obedience and mostly frequent businesses where she can join me. My dog is friendly toward people and other dogs. She loves to play! Since we live in an apartment, we frequent walks, and always have a leash on her when leaving the apartment. When caring for people’s pets, if I’m doing a home visit, I always check fences and doors to make sure their pets are secure.
“Laura was responsive and shared great info about her time with our pups. She really helped us over a busy period and was super kind and professional from first contact through the end of the booking. We hope to use her again in the future!”

“Eric was absolutely amazing not only was he great at communicating, sending photos, and overall greatness he also was available last min and I truly appreciated it! Thank you Eric will definitely use again!”

“Above and beyond! Claudia was very flexible when my plans changed and I needed to modify/add days. She has great communication, availability, and flexibility. I’ll be using her again whenever we travel.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who has been around pets my entire life. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and I’ve spent years helping neighbors, friends, and family with pet sitting, dog walking, feeding, playtime, and making sure their pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I treat every pet like they’re my own and understand how important it is to have someone you can trust. I currently have open availability and am happy to work around your schedule. Whether you need care during the week, on weekends, or on short notice, I’ll do my best to be there whenever you need me. I care for every pet as if they were my own by following their normal routine to help them feel safe and comfortable. In a client’s home, I make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of exercise and playtime, bathroom breaks, and lots of love and attention. I also keep their space clean, provide any requested updates, and carefully follow any instructions regarding medications, feeding schedules, or special needs. My goal is to make your pet feel happy and cared for while giving you peace of mind that they’re in good hands.
“Beyonce did such a good job with my dog Luna and took care after her. Luna is an anxious elderly dog and she really warmed up to Beyonce. She had great communication every time and was very flexible. Will definitely be booking again!”

About: I’m an incoming Aerospace Engineering student at UC Davis and a Regents Scholar who takes pride in being dependable, organized, and trustworthy. In addition to several years of caring for my family’s three cats, I’ve also helped care for dogs by walking them, feeding them, playing with them, and providing general supervision. Professionally, I’ve worked with children ages 8–13, which has strengthened my sense of responsibility, patience, communication, and attention to detail. I understand the importance of following routines, keeping others safe, and earning the trust of families. Whether I’m caring for your pets or watching your home, I’ll treat them with the same care and respect I would my own, while providing dependable service and regular updates for your peace of mind. Pet care is my primary focus this summer, and I’m committed to being reliable, punctual, and communicative. I plan my schedule carefully so I can provide consistent care while respecting each pet’s normal routine. I’m available for dog walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting, and I always make time for feeding, exercise, playtime, and companionship. I’m happy to provide updates and photos upon request so you can feel confident your pets are in good hands. I understand that trusting someone with your pets and home is a big decision. My priority is keeping your pets safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine by carefully following all care instructions, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications (if instructions are provided), and household preferences. I always use secure leashes during walks, pay close attention to my surroundings, and treat every home with the utmost respect by keeping it clean, locking doors and gates, and communicating promptly if any concerns arise. As an incoming UC Davis Aerospace Engineering student and Regents Scholar with professional experience supervising children, I take responsibility seriously and strive to earn your trust through dependable, attentive care.
“Misty was such a wonderful pet sitter! She took warm and thoughtful care of our cats, and was so kind and considerate when any small concern popped up. Even our more timid cat warmed to her, and we felt so comfortable while we were away. We would definitely book with Misty again in the future 😊”

About: I’ve been obsessed with dogs for as long as I can remember, so taking care of them has always been second nature. My biggest accomplishment was puppy raising a future service dog with Guide Dogs of America for 1.5 years. That meant weekly training classes, lots of patience and consistency, and learning everything from good leash manners to ignoring distractions (he was better at it than I am). Every dog has their own personality, and I love getting to know what makes them happiest—whether that’s long walks, playing fetch, or belly rubs! I have a flexible weekday schedule and am available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I’ll always make sure your pet gets the care and attention they deserve I always prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort by following their normal routine, respecting your home, and providing plenty of love, attention, and updates while you’re away.

About: I have had dogs for my entire life and am very experienced with all levels of care from walking and feeding, to administering medication and light obdience and potty training. I am highly attentive, comfortable with all sizes and breeds, and dedicated to maintaining your dog's regular routine so they feel safe and loved while you're away. My schedule is currently wide open for the summer, so I will have plenty of time to dedicate to your pups. I do ask for some advance notice, but I am open to accommodating same-day requests when possible. I provide a secure environment for pets in my home with at least 3 walks a day and plenty of engagement. I have a doodle who loves to have "sleepovers" with new friends. Safety is my top priority, so I can easily crate your dog if needed. I am fully able to accommodate any specific feeding schedules and administer any medications if required. I can provide the same level of service in your home as well, except I'll leave my doodle at home ☺️
“Ang was great with Lyla! She kept me updated with photos and made sure Lyla was well cared for and happy. It was clear she followed my instructions perfectly, and I felt at ease the whole time. Highly recommend and will definitely book again!”

About: I grew up with pets, and I take care of them as family. I want to extend that kindness to everyone’s pets. Thank you for picking me. I am currently working full time, so I am only available on the weekends. I am available on Saturday and Sunday from 8am- 6pm. Your pets will always be cared for. In my home, I feed my cat and dogs breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I play with both so neither are bored. I walk my dog for about 30 min to 1 hr.
“Alexandra was wonderful! She was very attentive and communicative and was flexible when my little guy needed to start a medication at the last minute. Would definitely ask her again!”

About: I’ve raised dogs, cats, bearded dragons, chickens, pigs, and taken care of other people’s dogs for awhile now. I love all animals and figured I could use my free time to help yours out! Im currently in between jobs so I have time. Long walks, cuddles, treats are all on the agenda. I really enjoy the company and love animals so much. Pups are safe at my home. So I’m available for day care, and possible overnights if discussed. Drop ins are no problem all day within a 10 mile radius of my work in Oceanside, and on weekends within a 15 mile radius of my home in vista.
About: I have been taking care of pets for years, and I love spending time with all animals. I help friends and family when they are gone on vacations or even close neighbors who need their pets taken care of. I honestly have so much love for animals and believe they are the best friends for hoomans. I lost my old man in 2025, and definitely have a soft spot for the older ones, but enjoy the way puppies have so much energy as well. Whenever I had to leave my little guy with someone I just wanted to trust he was being loved and taken care of as I would if it were me, and that is what I strive to do for all animals I sit/walk for. People want to know their pet is safe and having a good time so they can enjoy their time and not need to worry, and that is my goal. I currently am working from home and have to occasionally meet clients outside of my home. My schedule is very adaptive to being able to walk, feed, play, or whatever is needed. I have a fenced yard and my house is very dog friendly and in my opinion they run the home. That being said if there are rules for your dog I will adhere to them as to not break any training they are currently in or have learned.

About: As a lifelong dog lover and the proud owner of five wonderful dogs throughout my life, I’ve been caring for pets since I was 11 years old. I’m currently a full-time college student, and spending time with animals is one of my greatest joys. Whether it’s going on energetic runs or playing a game of fetch, I make sure every pup gets the exercise, engagement, and love they need. I always treat the pets I care for as if they were my own, because I understand just how much they mean to their families. I’m happy to accommodate any special needs your dog may have and follow all instructions closely. Long walks and attentive care are guaranteed, though I can’t promise I won’t sneak them an extra treat or two! As a part-time college student, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of free time to dedicate to caring for animals. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine—I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets, whether it’s going on walks, playing, or just offering some calm companionship. My availability allows me to give each pet the attention and care they deserve, without feeling rushed or distracted. I provide pet care in my clients’ homes, where pets are most comfortable in their familiar environment. I make sure to follow all routines and instructions closely—whether it’s feeding, administering medication, going on walks, or giving them playtime and attention. I keep the space tidy, respect your home, and make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Vista
Jeanne was great with our 3 kitties when we were out of town for several days and she visited twice a day. She has a clear comfort level with cats and seemed to genuinely enjoy them. Most importantly, she was able to give our diabetic boy shots twice a day with no issues, which was our primary concern and she totally managed it. She also spent time socializing with them all, sent us detailed updates, photos, and videos as we requested, and left the space tidy. We would definitely have her help with our babies again!

Everything went great. Claudia’s updates made us feel better about the cat being alone, and we appreciated her attempts to get photos of our scaredy cat. She left treats and other toys scattered around so she could at least know if the cat was active in between drop ins, which was nice for us.

This was our first time using Rover and Sydney was amazing! She took such good care of our dog while we were away. We appreciated the pictures and updates we got from her. Sydney is very sweet and professional, we will definitely be using her again in the future!

Sydney is absolutely fantastic! My little pup is very shy around new people but within a day or two, he warmed up to Sydney and felt very comfortable with her. She is super responsive, communicative, and provides great rover cards. I love receiving her updates immediately following her drop ins!

Mimi went above and beyond caring for my sweet, super senior girl. She is very experienced and knowledgeable and noticed right away when something was off with my baby. She took her straight to the vet and her quick actions have given my baby the best chance to recover from a sudden medical emergency. She kept me updated on everything. She continues to check in and is just so sweet. I could not recommend Mimi enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
