“Yajahyra was great with Milo! She was punctual, took him for a long walk, was detailed in her report back, and very prompt when asking her questions. Will definitely work with her again in the near future and recommend her to friends and family in the area.”

About: I’ve started taking care of my neighborhood pets 3 or 4 years ago while they went on vacation and I have been very reliable ever since. My neighbors have referred me to other neighbors as they believe I truly take care of their animals. So far I have taken care of dogs, 7 cats at once, baby chicks, grown chickens, turtles, bunnies, and cats. I always send photos of my customers pets and ask before I do something I am unsure of. I currently am enrolled at the University of California, San Diego! I am in summer break and have lots of time to take care of any of your furballs! Message me so we can set something up! I am not offering day care due to my ungated pool but I will be available to stay at the owners house! I give all my attention to the pets while I am with them and make sure they are safe on their walks. I have handled dogs from all sizes so your energetic or relaxed animals have the perfect sitter!
“We had a really great experience with Justin. The photos he sent were highly appreciated and I could tell they had a great walk together. Super super thankful that I’ve found someone I could trust when I have to be gone for long periods of time.”

“Christina did a great job checking in on my dog and taking him for a walk. Everything went smoothly, she was reliable, and I had no issues at all. I’d definitely book with her again!”

“We had a great experience with Dana. She was very communicative, kept us updated regularly, and was always on time for visits. I felt completely comfortable leaving my dog, Sierra, in her care, which gave me real peace of mind. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy dog walker!”

About: I'm a Dad to a fully trained facility dog. I've got decades of experience taking care of furry friends of all kinds, and am a dedicated ear scratcher and belly rubber. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so I can usually adapt to your schedule. I'm available for a wide variety of care from 7 A.M. onward. Boarding stays of up to 5 nights available in a large fenced yard. I have a large fenced yard and a friendly, well trained golden retriever at home. I'm comfortable with whatever arrangements you need when taking care of your pup at your home.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Vista
Sam was wonderful to work with! Pepper is a little cautious around new people (she prefers to conduct interviews from under the bed 😄), and Sam was patient, kind, and respectful of her pace. Communication was excellent, and when Pepper unexpectedly got sick and we had to cancel the remaining walks, Sam was incredibly understanding and compassionate. We really appreciate her professionalism and look forward to working with her again when Pepper is back in Vista.

Katherine did an excellent job caring for my pup kiwi! Kiwi has a lot of quirks, and Katherine accepted all of them with open arms. She was also able to give kiwi her medication after the walk, so I was very appreciative of that as well. She responded quickly and was very kind. Will definitely be booking again!

BEST DOG SITTER/WALKER EVER!!! My dog adored her and she took the happiest photos of my pup. I don’t know how she does it, but my dog looked as happy as the day I brought her home! She took her time, extending the walk free of charge and she made the most of it, playing catch and walking far! They must’ve gone on some epic hike because they both came back out of breath lol. Highly recommend Ana!!

I had to travel but didn't want to kennel my two senior dogs as they are rescues and didn't do well in shelter. I decided to check out Rover and took the plunge to message Madison. She was very responsive and so I booked her to take care of my precious dogs. She was very kind and responded quickly to my many messages! She tools great care of my dogs and took them on long walks and was sure to give medication as requested. I highly recommend booking Madison. I will 100% be booking her again in the future.

Mireya was wonderful. We booked her last min and she just rolled with the punches. Great communication. Our little Cookie usually takes a LONG time to warm up, but she actually hung out and even ate her dinner for Mireya. Winston fell in love and I’m sure he can’t wait to see her again.

Thank you so much for taking such great care of my dogs! I truly appreciate the time and attention you gave them. Chelsea was wonderful she provided helpful feedback and genuinely cared about their well-being. It’s clear she has a real love for animals, and my dogs were happy and comfortable in her care. Highly recommend!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Vista. On Rover:
- 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
