Information Matthew B. would like to know about your pet

Tell me everything. The more I know, the better the experience for your dog. I want to know about reactivity, leash behavior, triggers, anxiety, medical conditions, dietary restrictions, and what makes your dog light up. I've worked with fearful rescues, dog-aggressive breeds, escape artists, and dogs with mobility issues. Nothing surprises me and nothing scares me off. I'd rather know too much than too little before our first walk.

A typical day

Every walk is tailored to your dog. High-energy breeds get longer routes with trotting intervals and off-leash time where safe. Older or smaller dogs get a relaxed pace with plenty of sniff breaks because that's mental stimulation too. I mix up routes so they're always encountering new smells and environments. If your dog loves fetch or tug, I'll work that in. I bring fresh water every time, and you'll get photos and a GPS route map when we're done so you can see exactly where we went.

Pet care experience

Your dog isn't just getting a walk, they're getting someone who's spent 12 years doing this professionally. I've worked at SPCA Monterey County, San Diego Humane Society, and ran canine services at a boarding facility. I've handled nervous rescues, reactive dogs, hyperactive puppies, and lazy seniors who need a little extra patience. I read body language, use positive reinforcement, and actually understand what your dog is trying to tell me. Every walk includes fresh water, GPS tracking, and photo updates so you always know your pup is having a great time.

I'm so grateful to have found Matthew to watch my Lucy! He has been a pleasure to work with and I felt very comfortable leaving my girl with him. He was great from the start making time for a meet and greet before the initial stay to make sure we both felt comfortable. While Lucy was with him, he was great giving updates with photos and that put me at ease allowing me to enjoy my vacation knowing she was safe and well taken care of. Lucy can be easy in many ways and a little high maintenance in others and he was ready for it all. THANK YOU!

Matt was amazing with our three pit bulls!!! The are usually very cautious especially with men, but there was something special about him that they we drawn to. They felt very at ease with him! He interacted very well with the fur babies and my husband and I! He’s very professional, punctual, and such a friendly and warm demeanor. We look forward to him joining the pack!

Matthew has been an absolute gem with our dogs. He’s dependable, communicative, and clearly understands animal behavior on a deeper level than most sitters. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does. Our dog warmed up to him immediately, and we felt completely at ease knowing she was in capable hands. He gives thoughtful updates and goes above and beyond to make sure pets feel safe and cared for. Highly recommend Matthew to anyone looking for a responsible, experienced, and kind caregiver.
