When it comes to pet care in someone else's home the main thing for me is respect. Both in regards to the physical boundaries they set as well as their preferences in regards to pet care. Some pets are allowed on the furniture, or they have a very specific routine or schedule they follow. At the end of the day, I consider myself to be an extremely flexible and accommodating person in regards to caring for others' pets.

I hired Jacob to take care of my dog while I was away on a work trip. It couldn’t have gone better. Jacob sent lots of updates and pics and my dog clearly loved spending time with him. He also took great care of everything and left my place spotless.
Jacob was so awesome with my dog. She loved him immediately. I could tell bc she had the zoomies on their second walk together. Couldn’t recommend Jacob highly enough!
Jacob and I met almost a decade ago while we were both working at a doggy boarding facility. He was amazing with all the dogs there and since then, he has watched my two senior dogs on multiple occasions. He is a natural animal person that even my shy pittie warmed up to immediately. I trust him completely with walking, feeding and staying over night with my animals 😊
Jacob has watched our cat Charlie multiple times for a week or two at at a time and has been great with Charlie every time! He takes the time to really play with him, brush and groom him, and just hang out and give him attention instead of rushing through the visit. Charlie was comfortable and happy with him, which says a lot. Jacob overall is attentive, patient, and genuinely caring, and it gives us peace of mind knowing Charlie is in good hands while we are traveling. We’ve booked him multiple times and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful sitter for their fur baby.
Jacob is one of the kindest people you’ll meet. Dogs are drawn to him and he has a way of connecting with every pet in a unique way. He is punctual, detail-oriented and responsible. Jacob is someone you can easily trust and who will go above and beyond without being asked. If you’re looking for a pet-walker/sitter who your pet will feel comfortable around, Jake is your guy!
As a professional dog trainer for over 20 years, I tend to notice things most people don’t. The way someone reads a dog. The energy they bring into a room. The respect they have for animals as individuals. Jacob has that instinct. It’s not something he learned from a book or YouTube. It’s just who he is. Dogs trust him, and so do cats. I’ve had Jacob help care for my own dogs, and he’s consistently reliable, on time, and thoughtful in how he shows up. He’s calm, clean, responsible, and genuinely cares. As a pet owner, I build my entire routine around my pets and their needs. More often than not if I'm leaving the house to run an errand it is somehow pet related.
