“I’m so thankful to have found Analisa! My dog is super shy with new people and takes a lot to warm up. She sits with him for a full visit if he refuses to walk, and eventually got him to walk to our neighborhood park after several visits. Knowing he is cared for takes my stress away while I’m at work, thank you Analisa!”

“Grace has been walking my two hyper and (sometimes) reactive dogs on hour long walks 1x per week. She’s been great with them, and they both warmed up to her so quickly! Grace is always prompt with communicating and her schedule timing. We will definitely be continuing to work with Grace and I’d recommend her to others, too. Thank you, Grace!”

“Highly recommend Donna! My older dog just loves her. She has calming energy and is patient. Great communicator and takes special care of my pup. Grateful she became our weekly dog walker!”

About: Hi! I’ve been around animals my whole life—growing up with both cats and dogs taught me early how to care for pets with love and patience. Over the years, I’ve been the go-to sitter for my friends whenever they go out of town, whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, or just making sure their pets feel comfortable and cared for. I understand that every pet has its own personality and needs, and I always do my best to match their energy and routines. Whether your furry friend is energetic and playful or more laid-back and shy, I’ve got them covered! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits. I’m available for regular walks, drop-ins, or extended care depending on your pet’s needs. I keep my availability up to date and do my best to be reliable and consistent, so you can count on me to stick to your pet’s routine. I’m also happy to coordinate a schedule that works best for you. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with respect and follow all instructions closely—from feeding routines and walk preferences to any special needs or behaviors. I take extra care to ensure doors, gates, and crates are always secure, and I never leave pets unattended longer than agreed. I stay attentive during walks and in the home to keep your pet safe at all times. You can expect clear communication and regular updates, so you always know how your pet is doing and can feel confident they’re in good hands.
About: I have cared for animals since I was 5, whether that was a family pet or a stray. I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments as I have previous experience in a boarding/veterinary facility. Additionally, I have fostered puppies and older dogs with many different medical and training needs. I also have over 10 years of experience with horses and caring for animals of that nature. Currently I am a student at Mira Costa College, however, I am majority online so my schedule is very flexible for playtimes and walks with your pet! Keeping up with a pet’s routine and safety are my number 1 goals. I am unable to have others’ pets in my home, but I intend to respect others’ homes and values when caring for their pets.
“Luke is awesome. He came to the door and before entering talked to my dog and made him feel comfortable and when he entered they were immediate friends! Luke is trustworthy and responsible and I’ll will use him again.”

About: As a certified Holistic Health Practitioner I look at animal care from all aspects. I make sure they get good nutrition, exercise and interaction with other dogs. I am okay with senior dogs' needs, like diapers or special soft food or medication or even hand feeding. There are no cancer causing pesticides being used around our home and only bio-degradable non-toxic cleaners. For me dogs are supporting and protecting us on our journeys physically, emotionally, energetically and spiritually. I also offer canine massage. My husband and I are working from home and our daughter (19) is currently taking online classes. All of us love animals very much and enjoy being around them... We have a fully fenced yard (6 ft) and 2 little dogs ( one senior and one puppy) to keep your dog company. We have balls and toys to play with and your dog is welcome to share the dog beds and our couch with everybody. Our porch door is open all day which makes potty training easy and gives your dog plenty of outdoor time. We usually take everybody for a nice sunset walk and can add a nice beach walk to the day. We do not use any pesticides or harsh chemicals and there are no toxic/ poisonous plants in our yard/home.
“Kimberly is amazing! This is my third time having her take care of my dog and I know that he is in great hands with Kimberly. She is attentive, communicative, extremely trustworthy, and truly cares for animals. She’s also so easygoing and sweet! Highly recommend.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 20 years of pet sitting experience and a lifetime of caring for dogs. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have my own pup, so I truly understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, and loving to care for your pet. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, companionship while you’re away, or extra love and attention, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m experienced with different personalities, energy levels, and routines, and I’m happy to follow any specific instructions to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved! I work from home on my own flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care, walks, and drop-in visits throughout the day. I’m able to be reliable, attentive, and flexible to your pet’s routine and needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet and your home, and I treat both with the same care and respect I would my own. I make it a priority to follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), and any special instructions to help them feel safe and comfortable. I also love providing updates and photos for peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I started dog walking and pet sitting 5 years ago. Desiring a dog of my own, my private yoga and Pilates clients started saying "watch mine!" and quickly I became booked for dog sitting most weekends and almost all summer. I grew up with horses and three dogs so I am very comfortable around animals of all kinds. A former Division I volleyball player, I'm active and love taking a daily walk or two listening to a podcast, so I might as well bring a dog along! I'm single and do not have children so my schedule is flexible. I do work in person in an office in Cardiff but am able to care for dogs before work, at lunch, and after work. My weekends are free. I do not care for pets in my own home but am happy to care for them in their own homes whether it is coming over for a visit or walk or dogsitting/catsitting and staying the night.
About: I have over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs, I bring passion, reliability, and genuine love for animals to every visit. I’ve house-sat for friends, family, and colleagues, ensuring pets felt safe, happy, and loved in their own homes. Whether you need a trustworthy sitter while you're away or a reliable dog walker to brighten your pup’s day, I’m here to help. I treat every pet like they’re my own—whether that means belly rubs, playtime, sticking to special routines, or giving extra TLC to seniors or shy animals. I know how much your pet means to you, and I’m dedicated to providing personalized, attentive care you can count on. Even though I work full time, I have the flexibility to step away during the day for walks or check-ins, and my afternoons are always open for dedicated pet care. I'm more than happy to stay overnight or spend extended time at your home to ensure your pet feels safe and relaxed in their own environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my top priority is making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I follow your routine as closely as possible—from feeding schedules and medication to walks, playtime, and cuddle time—so your pet experiences minimal disruption. I also keep your home neat and secure, respecting your space as if it were my own. I provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. Whether it’s a shy cat who needs quiet companionship or an energetic pup who loves attention, I tailor my care to meet their individual needs. You can feel confident knowing your furry family member is in kind, capable, and dependable hands.
About: Throughout my life, I’ve always had a pet as a family member. When I moved to the United States 5 years ago, I left my dog with my family. I am excited to invite furry friends to my life. I’ve baby sat my friend’s dog and find it an enjoyable experience. I am well versed with understanding dog behaviour and routines. Your furry companion is my furry companion. I’m available on Monday to Friday during lunch hours and at 1730 onwards to take care of your paw friend. I’m flexible on Saturday and Sunday. As I have pet sit for long periods of time before, my apartment has play pens for small dogs, water/food bowl, pee pad, and a dog park nearby.
About: I used to be an avid babysitter around my hometown, but after the children outgrew my services, I shifted to watching animals for families rather than their children. I have watched all types of animals from cats and dogs, to turtles and birds! I am used to challenging/misbehaving dogs as well as strong, pulling dogs. No worries, I can handle it all! Excited to meet some new animals and families. I am a Pilates and Yoga instructor as well as a Waitress and student. My schedule is flexible as the hours of my classes vary and my waitress work is for a short stint of time at night. I can easily crate your dogs if needed, or cuddle them at night. I make sure to keep an eye on them to avoid any possible mishaps and make sure to read into their body language on rocks. Being aware of my walking paths & hours has made my walks successful and easy.

About: Hello! I'm Charlie I've been working for over 12 years taking care of children and on occasion, pets. I'm hoping to add more animals to my life as I am going through nursing school, the stress relief and excuse to get outside that furry friends offer is immeasurable! I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs as an occasional sitter/walker and home co-habitant and have had a wonderful feisty cat for over 14 years. (She stays at home unless otherwise specified) I have the most experience with older dogs, and manage to win over even the most tentative of furry family members. (I'm also shy, so I attribute it to mutual awkwardness.) I have experience giving eye drops, disguising medications as treats (or convincing stubbon animals to take medication) and I am experienced in giving injections. I'm more comfortable and experienced with medium and larger dogs , cats of all sizes and temperaments (but i will not turn down the opportunity to make a small dog, bunny, scaley or feathered friend!) . I've experienced some mischievous puppy antics that have led to my finding out that I can keep level headed in an emergency. As I mentioned above, I work in childcare, so I have experience performing work unsupervised in other peoples' homes, am in nursing school (so background checks are no issue) and can provide necessary references if requested to ensure my trustworthiness. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about me and my experience. Thank you. I'm currently in school part-time for my BSN while searching for new grad RN positions and helping out with a local nursing association. I have a very flexible schedule and can often work around your needs. I usually housesit In a client's home while they are away, but am open to drop-ins. I try and follow a furry friend's routine as closely as possible and if I can't on a day, I make sure that they always get enough potty breaks and adjust walks accordingly. I do tend to take the longest walks in the AM (30-45 min) + before bed (30-1 hr) with shorter 15-30 min "potty" walks during the day . I take into account their needs (feeding/medication/b&b evacuation times) & normal excursion times and my schedule and plan the week out in advance. Written instructions help me with daily tasks or pet personality quirks if they are more set in their ways. I'm happy to water plants, gather mail, take out trash and am comfortable communicating with vendors (repairment, pest control etc) if they need to visit when you are away. I treat the home better than I treat my own and aim to maintain (or exceed) the level of cleanliness that existed when I arrived. I'm not shy when it comes to vacuuming, laundering linens & pet bedding as needed while I am staying.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
