Dogs have been a constant in my home since birth. There has been very seldom a day where I haven’t come home to a dog wagging its tail with unconditional love and excitement. I believe the unique qualities in each dog allow us to be attuned to their nature and understanding what they need to live fulfilling, healthy and happy lives. Growing up with different large dog breeds has helped me get to know them and what each individual benefits from. Dogs help us to grow and understand how we can show up better in this life by reflecting back to us what we give to them. It is such a beautiful and cherished relationship. I have house/dog sat for the past 15 years for close friends and family and new friends and family. I have a handful of years of experience dealing with puppies as I had a Cane Corso from 8 weeks and currently get to share my life with my Great Pyrenees, Rio.

I am available to take dogs out of the home on walks, to the beach, to the park or anywhere your dog(s) enjoy going in the neighborhood or nearby. I am also available to stay in with them for overnight stays and at home care/play.

We love Mia and so does our 3 year old dog Bowie. He’s used to having lots of attention, walks and family around so it’s hard when we leave town without him. Thankfully Mia has such a sweet, calm, loving energy that he loves and he is always happy to be with her. Mia has also stayed in our home to take care of Bowie and takes excellent care of everything. She’s trustworthy, kind, and someone our family highly recommends.
Mia is a fantastic dog sitter!! She was wonderful with my two dogs, one of which is quite difficult. One of my dogs has severe anxiety and is very difficult to manage under stressful situations. In fact he takes mediciation for it and she is highly capable of following any regime your dog has. Mia is very patient and understanding. My other dog is a larger breed and not as difficult but can become hard to deal with when he feeds off the energy of the other. Overall they are not an easy bunch but Mia was kind and loving towards them. Both my dogs are rescues with a heavy history. Mia is passive and peaceful with them which is why I think they trust her. She truly has a love for all dogs and I highly recommend her!!
Mia has pet set for my two dogs and cat many times. Mia is responsible, reliable and loves animals. Most important my fur babies love her and can't wait to see her again and again. I know that when I leave them in her care they are treated and taken care of as if it was me. Mia takes pride in her work, communicates well and follows through on all task given. I highly recommend Mia for the care of your pet.
My wife and I met Mia in college. She is one of our best friends and we have known her for 8 years now. When my wife and I got married, Mia took care of our dogs in the days leading up to our wedding. Our dogs (both rescues) are the most difficult pair to take care of and Mia took care of them without a single hiccup for three days. It says a lot about Mia that she is able to take care of our dogs when they have so many trust issues and problems. Our more anxious dog took about 1/10th the time to warm up to Mia as he does for other people. I think he could just sense that she is a calm caring person and he decided to fast-track his trust in her. It is not easy for us to leave our dogs, but I can say with 100% confidence that I had zero worries for my dogs while Mia was watching them. It's an easy choice to trust your pets with Mia!

Schedule
I have part time availability to take your dog or dogs out in the mornings on Tuesdays and Thursdays and/or Wednesday afternoons. I am also available overnight care and in-home pet care.
