“John was great with walking our dogs, our Aussie loves the long walks. Always very tired right after. John is very accommodating and very responsive. Even brought our packages inside the house for us. Will definitely book again in the future.”

“Erin is very sweet and I can tell how much she loves all animals. She was very prompt and sent me lots of pictures of my dog's walk! I look forward to having her walk Murphy again!”

“Can't say enough positive things about Kristen. Took stress off my shoulders during medical situation. Highly recommend. Will book again. Thank You Kristen 😊 Sheila and TANK”

“We absolutely adore Heather! Our Billie girl is shy and needs time to warm up. Heather did not rush Billie and let her come out of her shell on her own time. This gave Billie a safe and warm environment. We could not be more thankful for Heather’s patience and grace. On our initial intake, Heather came prepared! She asked meaningful questions about Billie that put us at ease. We knew Billie was in the best care. 10 out of 10 recommend Heather. She has the perfect way about her for your fur baby!”

“Emily has been great walking Clay over the past 2 weeks while I’ve been laid up. Clay usually takes time warming up to new people, but he hasn’t had any issues with Emily. We are looking forward to her continuing to walk him until I am on my feet again.”
About: I have experience caring for pets of different ages and personalities through both my own pets and pet sitting for friends while they’re away. I currently care for two pets of my own- an orange 9 year old tabby and a one year old kitten. I take the time to understand each pets personality and make sure they feel comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m currently a college student on summer break and work part-time, but I keep a flexible schedule and am especially available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I understand how important routines are for pets and make sure they receive the attention, care, and consistency they need while their owners are away.

About: I have had a dog since I was 10 years old. Daisy who is an 11 year golden and we just got Poppy who is another Golden that will be 1 in July! I love taking care of them and providing the love and support they need always. I have dog sat for family and friends my entire life and in the future I will have a golden retriever, a husky, and a German Shepherd. Dogs have always been a part of my life and I love the unconditional love and joy they bring to life itself! I’m Home for College so I’m free week round and will set my schedule based on your needs! Pet Care is a priority for me as I’m constantly taking care of my dogs here at home in case my parents are not around. I love taking Poppy and Daisy for morning walks after I feed them as well as caring for them daily! I have a fenced large yard with plenty of space for pets, as well as two friendly Golden Retrievers of my own Daisy (11) and Poppy (1 in July!). The yard includes turf as well as a pool and spa so whenever they’re outside I make sure to be with them! For a clients home I will provide the care you need exactly how you would care for them yourself!
“Shaylynn is absolutely fantastic! She is a great communicator and is very reliable. She takes great care of my pups as well as looking after my home when the weather isn't conducive to walks. I can't recommend her highly enough!!”

About: Hi! I’m Scarlett! My whole life I have grown up around animals (mostly dogs) and I am very familiar with their needs! My family mostly adopts large and older dogs but I’ve also seen my fair share of puppies as well! So my skills are pretty diverse and can accommodate your dogs needs! Thank you and I hope to be meeting your four legged friend soon! As of right now, I am working three days a week virtually for my college’s writing center. So on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights I will be unavailable. But any other day of the week and weekend I am usually free and happy to provide care for your animal(s)! I am only open to providing care in the client's home because I currently live with my parents. In their home, I will make sure to respect their privacy to the highest degree and only use what is necessary for their lovely pets!
About: Animal lover at birth! Rescued and cared for several dogs to enjoy happy lifestyle and adventures. My Senior went to heaven in March and reminded me how important dog care is because they are the most underestimated family member. I work from home and have reliable transportation. Parks are less than 10 minutes away, but open to bring my laptop over if your pet prefers own home setting. I can walk multiple times a day and provide basic trianing. I'm here to take away the worry so owners can work or enjoy their own adventures. I work from home and free to move around or come to your pet. Tuesdays and Thursdays I'm generally unavailable, but open to discussing accommodations dependent on needs. I always treat pets like family and completely accommodating to owner needs and special requests. I can follow a strict schedule or plenty of playtime.
About: I love dogs and cats! I own one of each, and have fostered about forty. I have learned great leash-training skills, and behavior management of fearful dogs to help them feel more comfortable. I am fit and enjoy exercise, so I am happy to take your dog on long walks or even hikes! I can also administer treats on a walk if a dog needs some leash-training. Most importantly, I will treat your pup with kindness and affection. I am a teacher, so I have a lot of availability during the summer and holidays. For care in my home, I only live about five minutes from work, making it easy for me to check on animals during the day. For care in your home, I bring my own dog with me overnight. She is good with other animals. I am currently home full time for the summer. I spend a lot of time outside and love to take dogs for walks. I am also happy to chill inside and relax and give scritches. In my home, I have a secure fenced yard outside and a large crate available inside. At others’ homes I am respectful of my surroundings and treat all animals and property with great care.
About: Not your average dog walker. I provide consistent, structured walks that leave dogs calm, settled, and well-exercised — not overstimulated. I’m comfortable handling strong pullers, higher-energy dogs, and dogs that need a steady, confident approach. Walks are smooth, controlled, and focused so your baby comes home relaxed and content. This is a great fit if you want dependable care and a noticeably calmer dog after each walk. My schedule is intentionally limited so each dog gets reliable, consistent care — never rushed or back-to-back. Weekday & weekend openings. Best for clients looking for ongoing, dependable support. Safety is always the priority. I use secure leash handling, stay aware of surroundings, and make calm, thoughtful decisions throughout each walk. I’m experienced with dogs that need a bit more guidance and ensure every walk stays smooth and controlled.
About: I’ve had pets my entire life, growing up with multiple dogs and cats in my home in Colorado (5 dogs and 5 cats over the years). I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, litter care, and making sure pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. I currently have my own cat, Flynn, and also have experience with smaller pets like hamsters and fish. I love being around animals and treat every pet like they’re my own. I work part-time as a basketball coach, so I’m typically available during the day. I also have flexibility to stop by in the evenings after practice if needed! I keep things calm and consistent so pets feel comfortable and safe. I follow routines closely and make sure they’re well taken care of during every visit.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Del Dios
So grateful for the care for Luca, her patience and kindness with my dogs needs. She was easy to work with and was so flexible when there were some bumps in the process due to my fault not having the right directions on the app and leaving a crappy door key. She handled everything with such patience. Thank you! 🙏🏻

Aubrey is great! She’s walked our dog on multiple occasions and she’s always very punctual and professional. Our dog loves walking with her and it’s evident when he comes back that he has a great time! We could not recommend her enough, we’re looking forward to continuing to work with her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
