“Sofya is a wonderful match for our puppy, Bowie. Sofya is very professional and sends us the best pictures of our pup. She has been very flexible and understanding with us as well. We highly recommend her services!”

“Jeanine is an excellent care provider. She’s always reliable but what makes her the best is her love and care for my dog, Cinna. I know she sees many animals throughout her day and she still treats Cinna like she’s important and special. I highly recommend booking with Jeanine for quality and loving care for your pet.”

About: I've been house sitting/ pet sitting for about 15 years now. My friends, family, and neighbors have all trusted me to watch their furry, feathered,or scaled babies for long trips out of state/country or for last minute help. I personally have a few different types of animals from cats and dogs to bunnies and my snake and a few chickens. I've also had experience with live stock as well. I'm also looking going to school to be a vet tech as well! I love going on hikes and being outside so if your furry friends like long walks we will fit perfectly together! I hope to get to know and help you and your babies soon! I am available any day of the week and weekends the only time I'm unavailable is Thursday's from 8pm-12pm for karaoke hosting. Other then that I am free! My house/backyard is safe for dogs and I also have crates for dogs but I perfer to stay where they are comfortable and not anxious. The pets tend to have better experiences when I stay at the client's home.
About: Throughout my life I’ve lived and played with dogs of all sizes and ages. My parents had a small, old dog until we moved and brought in a golden retriever. Before I was 10, I was out in charge of raising a German Shepard puppy who grew to be 100 lbs! I currently have a small mixed breed and a black lab, we keep each other entertained and happy. I currently work part-time and have plenty of time to meet and take care of your pets. I do travel occasionally and will keep my availability up to date. I live in a fenced-in half-acre where the dogs & chickens run freely. Indoor care and/or crating is no problem as long as the animals can feel safe. I’d prefer to come to you where your pet(s) might be more comfurtable and will be sure to leave your home is as-good-or-better cleanliness than I find it in.
“Sarah was the best! She walked our dog, Bella, for a few weeks. Bella can be tough to walk, and Sarah made it look easy. Bella absolutely loved her and waiting for her by the window each day. Will definitely book Sarah again!”

About: Animals have been part of my life since I was little — I grew up with six dogs and started caring for them on my own around age 10. It was never a chore. I genuinely loved it. Since then I’ve looked after pets for friends, family, and neighbors, and that same feeling has never gone away. I do drop-in visits, walks, and boarding. Your pet is welcome to stay in my home, where they’ll be treated like family — not just watched over, but truly loved. I give a lot of affection and I make sure every animal feels safe, seen, and cared for. I’m trained in pet first aid and CPR, can handle oral and injected medications, and have experience with senior animals and pets with special needs. Whatever your pet needs, I’ll show up for them. I know leaving your pet with someone new can feel hard. I just want you to feel at ease — and I want your animal to feel loved while you’re gone. I’m currently studying psychology online, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet real attention. I’m available for boarding on weekdays and weekends, and I offer drop-in visits and walks in the morning or afternoon — any day of the week. Your pet is welcome to stay in my home, where everything is calm, clean, and safe. I can also come to your home if that’s what’s most comfortable for your pet. Either way, I’m respectful of their routine and give them plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I always clean up after myself and make sure your animal feels at ease the whole time you’re away.
About: I've been a dog owner for my entire life, attending dog training classes as early as 6 y/o. In the past, I shared responsibility for 2 family dogs (a Doberman and Springer Spaniel). I also have my own puppy, a friendly little mini-poodle named Peri! I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family for 8+ years, and offering services on Rover for over a year now. I love all dogs and I will work to meet a variety of needs, from high energy puppies to elderly/disabled dogs. I don’t have a lot of experience with cats, but I’m happy to learn. I’m looking forward to meeting your furry friend! Right now I have a very open schedule to dedicate to pet care. I take classes on Mondays and Wednesdays at IVC, and work at Mission Hospital on weekends. Communication with clients is my #1 safety priority. I will ask questions to determine how to best care for each individual pet. I try to maintain a sense of normalcy/ routine to keep pets calm in what could be an otherwise stressful situation.
About: Hi there! I’m Logan and I thank you for giving my profile a look! My family has had dogs in our house since 2009, so I’ve taken care of multiple dogs in my life. I love any breed and size! I can’t work with cats as much family has a history of cat allergies. I can’t wait to meet you and your dog(s) wagging tail(s) My mom used to work at a school and asked me to take care of our two dogs for the day while she was gone. I made sure they had food, water, went to the restroom and had lots of fun! I treat all the dogs we have like they’re my child. I take care of them to make sure they live long happy lives! It’s nice to cuddle with them.
“They were awesome. My dog had a blast. She came home very well walked and very happy. I appreciated the promptness in which they responded to my request for services. Will definitely look into using them in the future”

About: Doggies with short snouts welcome here! 🐾 I love all kinds of pups; seniors, short snouts, & snugglers of all breeds 💕 [Bulldog breeds, Pugs, Boston Terriers, King Charles Spaniels, & more!] My entire world was my Frenchie, Layla 'Sweet Potata', until she passed from old age. I deeply understand that your dog isn't just a pet—they are your absolute family, and I know exactly how much trust it takes to leave them with someone else. Because of Layla, I speak fluent "snort and grunt" and understand the specific nuances that come with flatter-faced breeds. Your baby will receive the exact same vigilance, tenderness, and love that I gave my own girl. 🐾 What Sets My Home Apart: One Family at a Time: I work from home full-time, so your dog will have constant companionship. To keep things calm and focused, I only host one dog (or two from the same household) at a time. They will never have to compete for a lap or love. I'm hyper-aware of the daily maintenance these special pups need. I’m fully equipped to handle tail pocket cleanliness, regular wrinkle wiping, and ear upkeep. You are welcome to bring your own preferred supplies, but I have plenty of resources here to keep them fresh, clean, and happy. Spine & Heat Safety: To prevent IVDD and protect their backs, my home features ramps and stairs for all couches and beds. Inside is kept cool with continuous A/C over smooth hardwood floors, and outside features a large, naturally grassy yard with a tall fence—and no neighbor dogs on either side for a stress-free potty time. Medications & Routines: I am completely comfortable administering oral medications and eye drops, and I closely monitor breathing and temperature limits. I work from home, so your dog will receive full-time attention, supervision, and care. My home has central A/C, a fenced grass backyard for them to enjoy San Diego weather, and tons of toys & beds to cuddle in. Your pup will always be welcome on the couch and my bed. Fun for a flat-faced pup is all about balancing engagement with safety, and my day is built around that rhythm. Your pup will leave happy, safe and well rested.
About: I have been around dogs my entire life. My sky girl and I went to many behavioral dog training course and we completed the advanced classes. Our puppy is currently learning and being trained! As dog parents we know the training never ends! Our pups are part of our daily life! We like to go for car rides, walks around the park or neighbor hood. Lots of ball play and chase around the house. Our Doberman could play ball all day. In the evening, we like to relax together, watch a movie near the fire or just cuddles on the couch or bed. We have a home with a fenced front and back yard. Our GSD loves to relax in the front and keep track of what’s going on. Our puppy runs around everyone and everything like the energizer bunny.
“Madeline saved the day again! She’s professional, passionate and considerate. Apppa loves her. Highly recommend her to everyone with a fur baby in the Monterey area”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and genuinely love being around them—I’m reliable, punctual, loving, and I always prioritize your dog’s well-being first. I work a flexible job and am available on weekdays after 11 AM, with weekend mornings also open. I’m happy to coordinate a routine that works best for you and your pup! Your dog’s safety is my top priority—I always keep a close eye on them, use secure leashes, avoid risky situations, and treat every walk with the same care and attention I’d give my own pet.
About: Dog sitting with 2 adults with flexible work schedules and 2 children that love pups! Our family enjoyed 10 years with our two precious Maltese pups before having to give them to our extended family due to a moving transition. Our two kids (ages 8 & 5), love to cuddle and play with our furry friends! Nightly Dog walks around the neighborhood are our favorite. My personal experience with pets is vast. Growing up, we had a myriad of different types of pets including a lamb, fish, and chickens, but alway dogs were part of our family picture! We’re looking forward to giving our children and your pets, the same positive family experience I had growing up. Lap dogs are our heart! Would love to cuddle and care for yours!
About: I spent three wonderful years working at a veterinarian hospital, where I developed a deep affection for dogs. While I don’t currently have any pets of my own due to frequent travel, I cherish the opportunity to care for and enjoy the company of the pups I walk or host. After some life changes, I shifted my focus to my college studies and relocated from Santee, CA, to Poway, CA. I truly missed having dogs around and am now eager to return to what I love. I don’t have any pups of my own (but that’s because we as a family can’t decide), but I will give your pup all the love and then send them home happy & tired. i only work 3 days a week at a level one trauma hospital in the operating room. I’m able to make my schedule 2 months in advance which helps out with future vacation dates you may need. I have a small side yard however, I live within 5 minutes of walking to an awesome park that I go to daily. You won’t have to worry about exercise in my neighborhood.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
