I am respectful and cognizant of your home during my visits and I treat every pet with respect and love. I follow specific care instructions, down to every minor detail. My years and education in animal behavior have helped my hone my skills in caring for even the most difficult pet. I provide detailed accounts of my visits, as well as many photos to ease owners minds while they are away. My goal is to provide comfort to pets and owners during your time away from each other. While I welcome in home cameras, and can even provide a “nanny cam” by request, the presence of cameras must be disclosed before I arrive.

Information Kimberly M. would like to know about your pet

I appreciate every detail you can provide about your pets. I love lists of routines, tips and tricks, personality quirks, etc. The more detailed the better, my goal is to get everything perfect for your pets! If your pet is used to eating in a specific location or needs their food prepared in a specific way, let me know! If your pet is receiving medication, know I typically only use positive interaction. I will make every effort to have your pet voluntarily take their medications, and appreciate a list of approved foods to use. If the medication must be given and your pet doesn’t voluntarily take it or if it is an injection, I am well trained at non invasive animal restraint. I will only restrain your animal for medical purposes with your permission. Entry into your home: for keyless entry, please provide the code in the Rover app before the first visit. For keyed entry, I highly encourage providing the key during our meet and greet or using a lock box for the key. I strongly discourage hiding the key for me to access when I arrive, as crime has increased in the area, and people checking around for a key is common. If a key hide is used, the owner assumes all risks. Please let me know where you would like the key left at my last visit. For key pick up outside a meet and greet or for a separate key return, there is a $15 charge for each.

A typical day

Drop ins: An example of a routine drop in includes: feeding, cleaning pet dishes, fresh water, litter box cleaning, potty breaks, administering medications, playtime, enrichment, cuddles, brushing, watering plants, bringing in mail, supervised outside time if requested. Walks: for small and/or leash trained dogs. 30 min walks are typically 5 min get ready time, 20-25 min walk, usually around 0.5 miles, depending on your pets pace and how much scent enrichment they like to take in along the way. I’m happy to feed your dog or provide any other quick care after a walk. For more in depth care, please book a drop in and I can include a walk as time allows.

🩺 Registered Vet Nurse

Pet care experience

If this is your first time booking with Rover, please feel free to use code “KIMBEM48612” when booking for a discount. I adore caring for animals, and it has been a lifelong labor of love. I am a Registered Veterinary Technician and former neonate wildlife care specialist with 15 years of experience, I specialized in hand-raising baby animals such as cheetah, tigers, and bats in the zoo nursery. I have also trained elephants, gorillas and rhinos to name a few! I have a degree in wildlife biology from UC Davis with an emphasis in Animal Behavior, as well as a degree in nutrition. After my career as a zookeeper, I became an emergency veterinary technician, while working with Rover part time. I truly love caring for pets, and as my clientele expanded, I now able to provide in home pet care full time, which I have found to be my true passion. I adore spending time with each pet whose care has been trusted to me. I have three wonderful senior pets of my own, Minnie, Tipsy and Sundae. Senior pets have a special place in my heart and I understand and cater to their increased needs, from mobility issues, special dietary needs, cognitive dysfunction, and medication needs, I have personal and professional experience with it all. I am happy to assist with your pets care by walking, dropping in, day care in your home, or medication administration assistance. For med administration, feel free to book a drop in and I’d be happy to assist, I can help with any form of medication (oral, injections, topical, fluid administration). I have expertise with all species of animals and can care for all pets. If you have pets other than dogs/cats, I am able to care for them as well. I am also happy to provide plant care as well household care. Due to a shoulder injury, leash manners are kindly requested for walks. If your pup has a tendency to pull on the leash, I’d be happy to book a drop in with an outside potty break instead.
