About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages, personalities, and energy levels. As a lifelong pet owner, I understand how important it is to have someone you can genuinely trust with your pet. I’m comfortable caring for everything from energetic dogs who need plenty of exercise and stimulation to senior pets who need a slower pace, extra patience, and attention. I also have experience administering medications and following specific feeding, medication, and care routines. I’m very active and spend much of my free time hiking, walking, and exploring outdoors, so I’m especially happy caring for dogs who love longer walks and plenty of activity. Most importantly, I treat every pet as an individual and follow their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to easily fit pet care into my day. I’m available for morning, daytime, and evening walks or drop-ins, and I can often accommodate last-minute requests as well. Since I travel full-time, I spend several weeks at a time in each area and keep my Rover availability updated so you’ll always know when I’m local and available. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any specific instructions you provide. I’m respectful of both your pet and your home, and I’ll make sure everything is secure, clean, and comfortable before I leave. I also believe communication is a huge part of earning your trust. I’ll keep you updated with photos and check-ins so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and getting plenty of attention while you’re away.

I am active and will match your pup’s energy with walks, playtime and affection. Ideally I would like to establish regular care for pups whose owners travel frequently and want to maintain a stable environment in their absence. Having owned many dogs in the past, I understand the anxiety that comes with having to find trustworthy, reliable care for them when they need to stay at home. About: I grew up with dogs my entire life and have been dog sitting in San Diego throughout the last 5 years. I have many doggos I watch regularly, but I recently moved to north county and am hoping to meet new dog friends. My goal is to be communicative with you while providing to most loving and fun environment for your pup :) I have plenty of experience dog sitting, boarding, and walking and want to ensure you have peace of mind while you are away. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, with ranges of dietary and medical needs. Feel free to set up a meet and greet with me! I work remotely and my job is flexible, so it allows me to watch dogs at home, go on frequent walks, and make it to and from appointments if needed. When walking dogs, I ensure they are leashed and ready to go before leaving the house and work to ensure we avoid any of their triggers. When sitting or boarding dogs, I make sure they get frequent walks and most importantly a lot of love! I have a gated porch to allow some safe outdoor time in between walks and enjoy snuggling at night with dogs who spend the night. If provided, I am happy to crate dogs as well.

“Shirlene was a perfect match for my tow boys! This was her first overnight and the boys clearly weren’t onboard with my travel. One is elderly with medications and quite frankly can be a bit snippy now and resource guards. Her care and professionalism shined through with concern regarding giving Thor some of his meds and his less than willing attitude. She reached out to discuss and was successful with the meds. But the thing that struck me the most was that she understood that Thor and her have not had enough time to create a solid trust bond, hence some of his snippy attitude. When I look for someone to care for my dogs, I don’t want them to just show up, I want them to care enough for my dogs that if something isn’t right or something happens, that person is there to figure it out because they CARE about the dogs, they aren’t in it just for the money. I could tell that Shirlene cared about my dogs and is willing to create a bond with them that leads to me feeling solid and assured when I am away.”

About: I’ve cared for animals (majority dogs) starting at age 10. Love spending time with animal whether it be out on a walk and house sitting! I currently work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule, so looking to make some extra money through dog walking/sitting! I am currently work from home and my job has flexible hours so looking to do some dog walking/sitting to make some extra money! Free most weekdays and in town usually half the weekends of the month. My house does not allow for pets, so I cannot host your furry friend. However, I am very vigilant about keeping a space dog friendly, as my family just got a new puppy a few years back, I have learned and practice many pet safety precautions (exposed wires, open doors, food left out, etc)
