About: I’m a dog mom with many years of experience taking good care of pups of all ages and sizes. I work from home with an extremely friendly dog of my own so your dog will have company all day and night! I work fully remote with a flexible schedule. Your dog will always get a morning walk with mine, potty breaks whenever needed, and I can accommodate any feeding schedule. I’m available to provide daycare and board most weekdays and most weekends. I have a fenced backyard patio for potty breaks and time outside. Your pup will have free rein in the house with a doggy playmate. I generally do not crate or cage my dog when I’m out of the house, but can separate your pup as needed based on your requirements. I have cameras in my home for monitoring so I can always check what the pups are up to!

They have been nothing short of a blessing for us as our pup grows!”

“This was my first rover so I was admittedly quite nervous. Not only for myself, but even my dogs caretaker as at 4 months old, she can still have puppy like tics. Despite it all, Linda was communicative, thorough and a joy to interact with. You can tell her family has a great vibe, and that reflects in how they treat their dogs. I’m especially appreciative that we were a bit late to pick my pup up due to some traffic and Linda was so understanding and patient. Two paws way way up ?”
“Christy did an awesome job watching my dog - she was great with communication and sent so many pictures and videos while he was there! The second day pulling onto her street, he got soo excited in the car that he was coming back and having the closed in backyard was great for my energetic dog, would definitely recommend!”

I look forward to meeting you and your dog!! :) I have a flexible schedule this summer and am available most weekdays, evenings, and weekends. “Sophie is great! She is caring and attentive. Maisy enjoyed her week playing with Snow and hanging out. I felt super comfortable that Maisy was well cared for. She came home exhausted from an active day with her new friends!”

“Our MOSH gets a bit diffensive sometimes but he liked Laura from the first sight and I was amazed when I saw his relaxed face in her pictures! Thank you for taking wonderful care of him.”

“We just moved to San Diego from Dallas, TX, and we were a bit nervous about finding a new pet host for our 2 year Yorkie-Poo, Teddy. I went on Rover and as soon as I saw Sarah's profile phot and read her profile I got a good vibe. I reached out and we exchanged a few messages before setting an appointment for a few hours on Saturday so we could go out to dinner with friends. Me and my husband were still nervous, but as soon as we met Sarah the nervousness was replaced with a great feeling! Sarah exudes kindness and care. She sent us updates regularly -and photos! When we picked up Teddy, he was happy and calm. I just met Sarah, but I already love her! She welcomed Teddy into her home and I felt that we were at the start of mutually rewarding relationship. I highly recommend Sarah!”

They will be treated as one of the family. I have raised my own puppies and cared for my senior dogs. I have fostered dogs for Norcal Golden Retreiver Rescue (where I rescued one of my dogs) and I have also volunteered at Pets In Need for both dogs and cats. Many friends call on me to help walk, feed and pet/housesit for them when they go out of town. Over the last 7 years, I have worked as a Personal Assistant/Home Manager for many high level executives and have cared for their homes and pets. I have over 30 years experience with cats as well. I raised my own kittens and would be happy to care for yours as well! Sadly, I lost my 12 year old Golden Retriever, Jax, in October 2024, so I have a lot of extra love to give. I'm currently home working on small personal projects and available most weekdays, so I am very flexible and have plenty of time to care for and play with your pet or pets! I'm available most weekdays and some weekends as well. I have a safe, fenced in yard. We live on a quiet cul-de-sac and live in a very dog-friendly, loving home. “Ari was so wonderful from start to finish! I was in a pinch, needed a babysitter last minute and Ari was immediately responsive and very flexible with my dog Rex’s needs and background. Ari was super communicative throughout the day, sent pictures and updates frequently. Ari was also very patient with Rex, which I appreciate because he could be wary of new people. He ended up having a really good and easy day in Ari’s care! This is my first time using the Rover app to find a babysitter for Rex and I would recommend Ari to anyone!”

About: As a certified Holistic Health Practitioner I look at animal care from all aspects. I make sure they get good nutrition, exercise and interaction with other dogs. I am okay with senior dogs' needs, like diapers or special soft food or medication or even hand feeding. There are no cancer causing pesticides being used around our home and only bio-degradable non-toxic cleaners. For me dogs are supporting and protecting us on our journeys physically, emotionally, energetically and spiritually. I also offer canine massage. My husband and I are working from home and our daughter (19) is currently taking online classes. All of us love animals very much and enjoy being around them... We have a fully fenced yard (6 ft) and 2 little dogs ( one senior and one puppy) to keep your dog company. We have balls and toys to play with and your dog is welcome to share the dog beds and our couch with everybody. Our porch door is open all day which makes potty training easy and gives your dog plenty of outdoor time. We usually take everybody for a nice sunset walk and can add a nice beach walk to the day. We do not use any pesticides or harsh chemicals and there are no toxic/ poisonous plants in our yard/home.

About: I have had a dog since I was in elementary school. I started taking care of dogs a few years ago after I got my mini golden doodle Winston. I have walked dogs, house sat, stayed overnight, and have done plenty of day visits. I pet sat for a lot of my neighbors and other nearby neighborhoods up until I moved at the end of October in 2019 to San Diego. I'm currently working part-time from home Monday-Friday, so my schedule is very flexible and I am able to go out frequently to visit your pet! I live in Solana Beach. It is a quiet area and there aren't a lot of cars/public people that pass through. I like walking on trails, going to the dog beach in Del Mar, or the park nearby.

About: I started dog walking and pet sitting 5 years ago. Desiring a dog of my own, my private yoga and Pilates clients started saying "watch mine!" and quickly I became booked for dog sitting most weekends and almost all summer. I grew up with horses and three dogs so I am very comfortable around animals of all kinds. A former Division I volleyball player, I'm active and love taking a daily walk or two listening to a podcast, so I might as well bring a dog along! I'm single and do not have children so my schedule is flexible. I do work in person in an office in Cardiff but am able to care for dogs before work, at lunch, and after work. My weekends are free. I do not care for pets in my own home but am happy to care for them in their own homes whether it is coming over for a visit or walk or dogsitting/catsitting and staying the night.
“Barbara did an awesome job walking polar opposite dogs-Chai a 14 year old, slow as molasses, in late stages of Heart Failure, and Penny, a high energy 2 year old. About: Hello! My name is Kirk, and am a lifelong animal lover, experienced dog walker & pet sitter, trusted families throughout San Diego and North County. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like family, you’ve come to the right place. I grew up with Black Labs and multiple cats as a child and have been around dogs, cats and other pets my entire life. As an adult I’ve had six dogs and three cats of my own ranging from large, medium, and small breeds, which has given me a great understanding of different temperaments, energy levels, and care needs. About ten years ago I began pet sitting for friends and family, and over the past 6–8 years I’ve regularly cared for walked and pet sit for dogs and cats throughout the year. I’ve worked with playful high-energy dogs who need long walks, older pets who need patience and gentle care, and cats who appreciate a calm and attentive presence. I pride myself on being an attentive, dependable, and loving pet caregiver. When your pet is with me they receive extra attention, extra love, and extra care. I’m very mindful of safety, routines, and making sure each animal feels comfortable and secure. Whether that means walks, playtime, companionship, or simply being a calm and reassuring presence, I make sure your pet feels happy and well cared for. I also have many personal references here in San Diego from families whose pets I’ve cared for over the years, and I’m always happy to provide them. For me, this isn’t just a side job, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I enjoy building my schedule around providing reliable walks, visits, and care for animals. I maintain a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the attention and time they deserve. During the day I’m available for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a longer walk, feeding, or some companionship while you're away. I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine so they stay comfortable and relaxed. For dogs, walks are tailored to their energy level, some enjoy a brisk walk and exercise, while others prefer a slower, more relaxed stroll. For cats, visits include feeding, fresh water, litter box care, and spending time with them so they feel calm and cared for. I try to keep my calendar updated regularly and respond quickly to requests. My goal is to be dependable and make scheduling easy so you can feel confident that your pet will receive consistent, attentive care. When caring for your pet, my goal is to make the experience calm, safe, and enjoyable for them while giving you peace of mind while you're away. Every pet has their own personality and routine, and I do my best to follow the schedule and preferences you provide so your pet feels comfortable and secure. A typical visit or walk begins with a quick check-in to make sure your pet is happy, healthy, and relaxed. For dogs, this usually means a walk that matches their energy level, whether that’s a fun, active outing or a slower stroll around the neighborhood. After the walk, I make sure they have fresh water, settle them comfortably, and spend a little extra time giving attention or play if they enjoy it. For cats, visits include feeding, refreshing water, litter box care, and spending time with them in whatever way they prefer—some cats love playtime and attention, while others simply appreciate quiet companionship. I keep things clean, organized, and respectful of your home while I’m there. I also send updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and feel confident they’re being well cared for. Above all, you can expect reliability, patience, and genuine care. I treat every pet as if they were my own and aim to make each visit positive, safe, and comforting for them.

About: Hello! I'm Charlie I've been working for over 12 years taking care of children and on occasion, pets. I'm hoping to add more animals to my life as I am going through nursing school, the stress relief and excuse to get outside that furry friends offer is immeasurable! I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs as an occasional sitter/walker and home co-habitant and have had a wonderful feisty cat for over 14 years. (She stays at home unless otherwise specified) I have the most experience with older dogs, and manage to win over even the most tentative of furry family members. (I'm also shy, so I attribute it to mutual awkwardness.) I have experience giving eye drops, disguising medications as treats (or convincing stubbon animals to take medication) and I am experienced in giving injections. I'm more comfortable and experienced with medium and larger dogs , cats of all sizes and temperaments (but i will not turn down the opportunity to make a small dog, bunny, scaley or feathered friend!) . I've experienced some mischievous puppy antics that have led to my finding out that I can keep level headed in an emergency. As I mentioned above, I work in childcare, so I have experience performing work unsupervised in other peoples' homes, am in nursing school (so background checks are no issue) and can provide necessary references if requested to ensure my trustworthiness. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about me and my experience. Thank you. I'm currently in school part-time for my BSN while searching for new grad RN positions and helping out with a local nursing association. I have a very flexible schedule and can often work around your needs. I usually housesit In a client's home while they are away, but am open to drop-ins. I try and follow a furry friend's routine as closely as possible and if I can't on a day, I make sure that they always get enough potty breaks and adjust walks accordingly. I do tend to take the longest walks in the AM (30-45 min) + before bed (30-1 hr) with shorter 15-30 min "potty" walks during the day . I take into account their needs (feeding/medication/b&b evacuation times) & normal excursion times and my schedule and plan the week out in advance. Written instructions help me with daily tasks or pet personality quirks if they are more set in their ways. I'm happy to water plants, gather mail, take out trash and am comfortable communicating with vendors (repairment, pest control etc) if they need to visit when you are away. I treat the home better than I treat my own and aim to maintain (or exceed) the level of cleanliness that existed when I arrived. I'm not shy when it comes to vacuuming, laundering linens & pet bedding as needed while I am staying.

“Olivia and Sebastien were so great! This was the longest we’d ever left our dog Millie, but we got so many great pictures and videos we knew she was having a great time!! They were responsive, friendly, and had clear communication with us. They went above and beyond to make sure all Millie’s needs were met / special requests were followed. Their dog Zuko is also so great, Millie had a great time while we were away! Would recommend them to anyone.”

“Linda and Zach were great to Noodle!! They sent me photos, were extremely responsive and my pup was nice and tired from his stay. Would have them watch Noodle again! 😌”

“We left our Wheaten Terrier, Finn, with Linda for a week, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. Linda, her husband, and Sammie took wonderful care of Finn and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Linda kept us updated throughout the week with messages and photos - it was clear that he was treated like part of the family. We can definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and attentive dog sitter.”

“Christy took great care of our elderly dog! She was able to handle giving her several medications twice a day and took her on walks. It seemed like our pup received lots of love and attention. We also got pictures and videos throughout her stay!”

“You can tell right away that Brooke is an amazing dog sitter - she asked great questions about Bonnie to make sure she was comfortable during her stay. I received super cute photos too! Will definitely book Brooke again, 10/10, 5 stars.”

“I wasn’t sure if our dog Fiona wanted to go back home with us! This is the sign that Michael and his family really gave Fiona the best care while we were away. She probably had more fun at Michael’s than she usually has at our house. Thank you Michael for taking care of her.”

“Chewie had a great time with Khamsay and Amit. He was well taken care of with lots of walks. Khamsay sent lots of updates with photos and was so nice. Chewie can’t wait for his next stay with them.”

“Anna took great care of our dog PJ while we were on vacation. She is nice and thorough, and I could tell PJ was in great hands. My anxious dog needed a calm and understanding environment and she was able to provide that. Anna was able to follow the feeding and other instructions easily, and communicated with me daily, providing pictures and videos of PJ while we were away. I think PJ enjoyed his time so much with Anna because he wasn’t really excited to see me back! Thank you Anna for taking in my quirky PJ and providing for his needs while we were on vacation. 😊”

“Alina was an amazing sitter for our 80 lb lab! She was so professional, providing daily updates with photos and videos. Alina’s positive energy was genuine and it was clear our dog was very comfortable with her and her family. I highly recommend Alina!!”

“Very happy with our experience. Our dog had a great time with Ryan's family. Ryan was easy to communicate with and he was very accommodating when our travel plans changed unexpectedly at the last minute and we had to extend the boarding for a few days.”

About: Hi! My name is Magda. I moved to the U.S. from Poland five years ago, and animals have always been one of the biggest parts of my life. Sadly, my childhood dog recently passed away, and it reminded me just how much joy animals bring into my life. Right now I can’t have a dog of my own, so caring for other people’s pets means the world to me. I recently left my full-time job to focus on a new chapter where I can spend more time doing things that truly make me happy. Rover is more than just a side job for me—it’s a chance to connect with amazing animals while helping their owners feel completely at ease. I’m a very active person and usually walk at least two hours every day. Whether it’s long neighborhood walks, trips to the beach, parks, hiking trails, or simply relaxing at home, your dog will have plenty of attention, exercise, and love. If your pet enjoys cuddling on the couch or sleeping in bed, they’ll have plenty of affection from me too! Since moving to the U.S., I’ve lived in homes with pets almost the entire time until recently, so being around animals has always felt natural. I genuinely love getting to know every dog’s unique personality and making them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. One of my biggest dreams is to one day volunteer in Africa helping endangered wildlife, so caring for animals has become much more than a hobby—it’s something I’m deeply passionate about. As someone who’s still building a life and community here, I’d love to meet local families, build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners, and hopefully become the person you can count on whenever your furry family member needs care. I hope your dog and I get the chance to become great friends! I recently wuit my job and want to work fully remote. I want to focus more on my physical health that”s why i will have a lot of time to go for walks or run in the park. When i work on my computer i usually do it from the couch so doggy can count for a lot of cuddles. I live in a studio so your dog will be contantly watched. I have fenced backyard and most of the time will walk in a safe dog friendly areas. Dogs usually create quickly trust with me and i trust them so i do know how to act no matter if the dog is active or more calm

“Kris and family are incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming, and made our dogs immediately comfortable in their home. She was very easy to communicate with keeping me up-to-date with messages and photos during their stay. We are happy we found a safe staycation for our dogs when we are away.”
