“So glad we found Jinni, our two chihuahua mixes loved her and she managed our son’s cat who gets into everything. We were gone for 10 nights and have never used a house sitter before, but we always felt the animas were in good hands. Jinni communicated often and updated us with photos. Highly recommend!”

“I can’t sing Michelle‘s praises enough. We were going abroad for about a week and had another sitter cancel at the last minute. Michelle followed up quickly, scheduled a meet and greet and agreed to sit our four pets while we were away. She is awesome. They warmed up to her so quickly, and she was communicative through both text and photos. We hope we can work again with you in the future, Michelle!”

About: I have taken care of 5 dogs of my own in my lifetime. I'm a responsible owner that likes to cater to my dogs' needs, I prioritize walks for a healthy lifestyle, and I like to play with dogs a well. My dogs are always happy and full of love. I'm currently in University remotely, so I spend most days at home with my two dogs. I would be more than happy to take care of another friend and have fun playdates with the dogs, I have a park near me and usually take my dogs on potty breaks very often. I live in a dog-friendly apartment building, the space is fair for dogs to be running around between rooms as well as their assigned beds, dogs will also have access to be on furniture, and will have snacks for when returning from potty breaks. As I said before, there is a park a block away so walks are guaranteed.

About: Hi! I’m Rhonda, I understand that pets are family. Whether you’re away for a weekend or an extended trip, I provide dependable pet sitting and house sitting services so you can travel with peace of mind. As a lifelong animal lover and owner, I enjoy caring for pets of all ages and personalities. I am comfortable with both dogs and cats. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I am dependable and treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I give my own. I currently have two cats, Gizmo and Truffle, but I have owned many different types of dogs and cats throughout my entire life. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I am currently self-employed part time and primarily work from home, so I am able to be home with your pets the majority of the time. I might be gone for 1-3 hours some days. It varies. I am happy to care for your pets in your home or mine, including staying overnight. Whether your pet loves walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply a familiar routine, I will provide trustworthy care tailored to them. In my home, I currently have two cats, Gizmo and Truffle. I can board your pets in my home as long as they are comfortable with cats. Both my cats tolerate dogs and cats well. I can also stay at your home while you’re away or do drop in visits/walks/feedings, depending on your preference.
“Kaylan was an amazing sitter from start to finish! If my dogs could write this rating, I’m sure they’d give her 5 stars. She sent frequent updates, lots of pictures, and wasn’t afraid to ask questions whenever she needed clarification, which gave me peace of mind. She even took my pups on little adventures to explore new parks and treated them to pup cups, with permission of course! It’s obvious they were cared for, and got lots of love and attention while we were away at work. I came home to 2 happy pups and a cared for home. Would definitely recommend Kaylan for a reliable, caring sitter and happily booking her again!”

“I can't say enough great things about Jamie! She watched our two pups for a week and made sure to check in every day and keep us informed of any issues going on while we were gone. Our dogs liked her immediately and were comfortable with her the first time they met.”
“Awesome is every way. Patricia was super attentive and caring and Sadie had a great time. Our house was in better shape than when we left. She is a star. If you need a sitter - she is the one.”
“My pups warmed up to Crystal immediately. She was a great house guest, and I had no reservations having her stay in our home. She was sweet, caring, and I knew my dogs were in great hands.”

“Very communicative. I received daily photos and videos. The pups seemed happy and our youngest found a lap to lay on. Bob played with both dogs and seemed to really start to learn their personalities”

“We were so lucky to come across Jeremiah as our dog sitter! Our two senior pups had a blast with him and some other furry friends. He sent daily photos and videos, questions about their demeanor (like what to do if they weren't hungry/eating their food), and was super responsive and attentive providing updates/questions without me needing to ask. They even went on daily walks, which wasn't a need, and our babies enjoyed being spoiled outside. We can't wait to use him again. Thank you so much for everything!!”

“Anna was amazing, not only did she show up on time, but she sent me several check ins throughout the night. She made sure that I knew that my Furkid was happy and safe. She followed the directions I left for her to the T. Anna was extremely punctual and professional. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is in need of pet sitting. She was the epitome of a perfect pet sitter. I will definitely book her again ❤️”

About: I grew up on a farm and have been taking care of all sorts of animals since childhood, from dogs and cats to goats and chickens. I pet sit regularly for friends and friends of friends and always get rave reviews. I love animals and am the person people’s pets often seek out from a group to cuddle up with. I work 9-5, so I’m best suited for weekend sitting or for pets that can be left alone for a full work shift, though I’m very diligent outside of work hours I have lots of energy and love to give to your pet. Whether they prefer to curl up on the couch and have a chill night or need to get their energy out outside, I’m happy to spend time with them and give them the care they need. If you want daily photos and updates on your pet, I’ll gladly provide, and if you only want notifications if somethings wrong, I can do that as well.

Yena is very responsible and responsive. She sends photos of my 2 furbabies and constantly giving me updates. She always ask me if there’s anything else needed before she heads out. She took care of Angel and Luna like her own babies. Will definitely rebook her when I go out of town. I highly recommend her to other fur parents.

Michelle was absolutely incredible. She was communicative and made sure our home and crazy dogs were well cared for while we were gone. I absolutely plan on hiring Michelle again, and would highly recommend her if anyone is looking for a house and dog sitter. Thank you, Michelle!

honestly can’t say enough good things about Christina. She watched my dog, Summer, for five days while I was away, and she exceeded every expectation I had. From the start, I could tell Summer was comfortable with her. When I got home, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. As a dog owner, that’s the best feeling you can have. What really surprised me was coming back to an apartment that was spotless. Christina took the time to clean everything before she left, and she honestly left my place cleaner than I had given it to her. I never expected that, and it says a lot about the kind of person she is. It’s hard to find someone you can fully trust with both your dog and your home, but Christina is exactly that person. She’s kind, responsible, thoughtful, and genuinely cares. I’ll definitely be asking her to watch Summer again, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing dog sitter.

Savannah watched my dog and cat for a week. She did a great job. My animals were happy and well taken care of. My place was left as a I found it. She sent me pics and an update of the day each evening. Very dependable and made me comfortable about leaving them with someone new. I will definitely hire her again in the future.

I had a wonderful experience with Val! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared for my dog as if it was her own. I received regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Val to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, and I will definitely be using her services again.

Natalia was fantastic with our rambunctious puppy. She sent photos and videos daily. Our home was well cared for and more importantly we came home to a happy healthy dog. We will absolutely use her again in the future. I would recommend her to anyone. Thank you for giving us peace of mind about our dog and home while we were away.

Catherine was awesome! She showed lots of attentive care for our two cats for her overnight stays with them. She would send videos and photos every day so we didn’t have to worry about how they were doing. She was responsive and asked questions when she needed clarification. We came back to happy cats and a clean house! Would definitely recommend her to anyone.

Justin did an absolutely amazing job caring for our 2 pups and house sitting while we were away for the holidays. Our dogs and house were very well taken care of. Justin was always quick to respond with updates and pictures of the dogs and I look forward to having him dog sit for us again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Miramar on Rover is $49.98 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 7,019 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Miramar. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Miramar walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Miramar maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Miramar choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
