I’ve been caring for animals for many years and absolutely love spending time with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and provide overnight care for their pets while they’re away. I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re gone. I have experience with puppies, senior pets, administering basic medications, and caring for multiple pets at once. I will treat your pets as if they were my own and provide plenty of updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away! As a graduate student in Occupational Therapy, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive care for your pets. I am generally available throughout the week for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight house sitting. I only have in-person classes on Mondays, so I can spend plenty of quality time with your pets and maintain their normal routines. I know leaving your pets with someone else can be stressful, so I do everything I can to make both you and your pets feel comfortable. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, and routines to keep things as normal as possible for your pet. I treat every home with respect and every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’ll also send plenty of updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: Hi! My name is Lauren, and I grew up with cats and have been surrounded by them for most of my life. Since I was a teenager, I've cared for both my own cats and those of friends and neighbors. I understand that every cat has a unique personality and I'm happy to care for them in the way that makes them feel most at ease. Since moving to San Diego, I've really been missing my family cats, and I'd love the opportunity to spend time caring for yours. Whether your cat enjoys chasing toys, getting brushed, or just having someone nearby, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention and care. I also work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to accommodate a variety of care needs. Although I'm new to Rover, I'm dependable, responsible, and committed to treating every pet as if they were my own. I look forward to providing your furry friends with reliable care!

“Rachel did a good job caring for our cats and kept us updated while we were away. She was friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with, and everything was in good order when we returned. Overall, a positive experience and we would happily rely on her help again.”

“Julia was quick to respond and super reliable. She took my puppy to her house to play with her two dogs and then dropped her back off, and visited again in the afternoon to feed her lunch and let her out. She sent many pictures and took great care. Highly recommend and have already booked Julia again!”

“Sara was AMAZING! I left my two very clingy kitties for the holidays and Sara took great care of them and kept them company. I came home and they're happy as can be. :) THANK YOU!”

“I had never used a sitting service before. A friend told me about rover.com. I thought I’d take a chance and boy did I get lucky. Jenna showed up at my door to meet my cat and myself. She was bright, professional and pleasant and….. from the Midwest! she did an amazing job. Remembered every little detail I had told her. She sent happy photos of my happy cat twice a day. I looked forward to those photos and her little review. It was this that enabled me to enjoy my visit with my elderly parents. Thank you Jenna!”

“Janet did an amazing job taking care of my cat Theo! She is everything you would want in a cat sitter: responsible, communicative, and experienced. Even though my cat can be a little unpredictable, Janet handled everything like a pro and I never once worried about my cat when I was gone. Thanks Janet!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for my entire life! I’ve had 6 dogs of my own. I started watching friends, family, and neighbors' dogs at just 10 years old, and at 16, I started watching cats as well. I’d love to meet your pets and give them a home away from home :) I would love to spend all day with your pets. I work a part-time job where I will occasionally cover 4-hour shifts, but that’s the only time I’m away from the house. I would love to discuss what you love for your pets, whether it is car rides, walks, runs, etc. I have a large fenced backyard with plenty of space. I’m ready for all the energy or no energy at all, and I’ll be sure to follow any specified requests on how I can make your pet's time away from you and/or home the best time!

“This was my second time having Yue check in on my two cats, and once again Yue was thoughtful, prompt, thorough, and generally took very good care of my two spoiled ones. I highly recommend Yue, and I myself will be reaching out to Yue again next time I'm out of town in the hopes that she is available!”

I work full-time, but my schedule and days off vary week-to-week. I am always available for at least part of the day in the morning/early afternoon, so please don’t hesitate to message me for specific availability! I’m currently unable to board or care for pets in my home, but I’m more than happy to do drop-ins at your home and walks.
“Melissa was amazing - went above and beyond when caring for our cat Toast and even helped with some deliveries arriving when we were out of town. Reliable, punctual and communicative the whole time! Will use again in the future!”

About: Hi, I'm Jasmine. I've been pet sitting and caring for animals for over 10 years and currently have three dogs of my own. Through both personal and professional experience, I'm comfortable caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities.

About: I've been surrounded by animals since I was a baby, and they've always been a huge part of my life! Over the years, I've cared for 3 cats, 2 dogs, bunnies, turtles, and parrots, so I'm comfortable with pets of all kinds. I understand that every animal has its own personality and needs, and I love getting to know each one individually. Whether it's feeding, walking, playing, giving medication, or simply providing lots of love and attention, I'm dedicated to making sure your pets feel safe, happy, and comfortable while you're away. Animals bring so much joy to our lives, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. Your pet's safety is my top priority.

“Gina was wonderful! She sent daily photos and updates on her bonding experience with my kitty, Artie. We FaceTimed the first day, since this was our first time and Artie was doing well. She left my home clean and tidy and Artie was happy to see me but wasn’t needy. Overall a great experience with Gina.”

“Alex took great care of my two senior cats while I was away for the holidays. She was super responsive, flexible, and provided regular updates about how my cats were doing. I would definitely book with her again!”

About: When I was little my family would breed Siamese cats, so we always had little kitties running around. Since day one I have adored cats. I'd fall asleep with them curled up beside me when I was little, and I still enjoy it to this day. Cats have a very special place in my heart.
About: I have always been the biggest animal lover. I am vegan for ethical reasons! I used to volunteer for the Paws Adoption Center in Chicago. There, I was involved with the community outreach team, and I’d help put together adoption packets and pamphlets. I mostly spent my time doing physical labor— that is, walking the dogs, cleaning up after them, etc. In San Diego, I live with my roommate’s friendly little Maltese dog in a pet-friendly apartment. Growing up, my family has had a total of four dogs. Three of them we adopted about 15 years ago, and I witnessed them through their teething process and helped potty trained them. A couple of years ago, we welcomed a new, adult dog into our home in Chicago. During winter break of 2017, I successfully taught her several new tricks. In addition, family members and friends have asked me to pet-sit during special events or lengthy vacations. I am very willing to work with new dogs with different personalities who may require special care. My schedule is completely open, and my apartment is a comfortable, clean, and spacious place for dogs to stay in. I am especially willing to travel to your home if that happens to be your preferred option. I am looking forward to accommodating dogs to their own special needs. I am working part-time and can check on your dog at least every six hours! Many days, I only work four hour shifts, so I can probably check on them even more often! I am very neat and clean! I will treat your space with respect the way I do mine. Let me know which spaces your pet is allowed to go into!

“Kristina is so amazing with my Frenchie Gus! She’s super communicative about how the walk went, and always super quick to respond. She always takes into consideration how hot it is with how far to walk. I love having her to help take care of Gus on days I work and he’s always happy as can be when I come home!”

“Yue was great to work with and took great care of my doggies! She sent pictures and videos and kept me up to date on what they were up to and how things were going. Communication was great!”

“We were visiting San Diego from out of state and needed doggie daycare while we went to a few places where we couldn’t bring our dog. Erion took wonderful care of Beebe. Their home has a backyard with easy access for dogs to run around and go potty, and their beagle was very sweet and gentle with our 11-pound dog. We especially appreciated the care and attention Erion gave Beebe, who has separation anxiety and can be a picky eater. Each day, they communicated with us about how he was doing and sent pictures and updates, which helped us feel very comfortable leaving him there. We also appreciated their kindness and flexibility with our varying drop-off and pick-up times. We had a great experience and would happily book with them again when we have a chance to visit San Diego in the future. We highly recommend Erion and Iris!”

“Hazel had a great time with Kalie. She's usually nervous with new people but warmed up to Kalie right away and had a fun time staying with her while my family explored San Diego. Would recommend!”

“The dogs went to two days of day care at Valeria's while we were in town and they were very excited to return on the second day. Valeria was great, sent photos, and was very communicative.”

“Yang came to the rescue! My husband and I were visiting La Jolla for an event over the weekend. He was VERY accommodating to our last minute request for a day care sitter that we needed in a pinch. He came to meet our two fur babies (one being a Newfie and the other being an Aussie-mix), then he scooped them up and took them back to his place for a few hours. Yang was very communicative with us and sent plenty of photos throughout the day. 10/10 would recommend booking with Yang! Looking forward to using him again in the future.”

“Shrusti was a fantastic and flexible caretaker for our dog, Arya. Our dog wasn’t feeling too well while staying with her, but Shrusti took it all in stride and didn’t once complain about any issues. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a compassionate and friendly person to watch their dog!”

“It was super easy to book with him, he provided images and updates during the time of service. Was very responsive and flexible with our schedule! Would highly recommend him!”

“Kari was absolutely amazing . It was my first time doing doggy day care and I couldn’t be happier . He had a great time and she is so friendly and responsive . Highly recommend .”

“Olivia is amazing. Always send pictures and videos. She is so incredibly nice and accommodating. My gf’s water broke slightly early and our original plan of having her sister watch her fell through . I found olivia, messaged her and within 20 minutess I was dropping her off. Absolute lifesaver.”

“Viviana and her family took such excellent care of Tug that he was happy to be back for his all day visit, even on the 3rd day. Tug usually does not want to leave our side, but he enjoyed his visit so much, he was happy to be dropped off each day. In the pictures provided he was on walks relaxed and enjoying himself. We will definitely rebook! Thank you for providing fun, safe, loving care!”

“Anna provided pet day care for my 7 month old puppy Aero. From the photos she sent throughout the day, he looked happy and well taken care of! We also appreciated her sharing a full rundown on how his behavior was throughout the day when we picked him up. Thank you Anna!”

“Sara was fantastic! I gave her a lot of notes because it was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving my new foster dog alone for more than a couple of hours. She understood exactly what I needed and took such great care of him. I was able to have a great evening out and let go of my worries about the dog. She is so friendly, kind, and understanding! Definitely will book with Sara again!”

“This wasn't a stay, but rather a walk :-) Sara was awesome! I needed some help after surgery and she really came through. About: We are an active foster family through San Diego Humane Society. We are up to date on all their trainings and have been tremendously enjoying our fostering journey. We are now opening our home and family to helping our neighbors and community by taking care of their dogs when needed. About: I grew up surrounded by animals. My family bred Siamese cats, and we always had dogs of all sizes in our home. In June 2025, I began house and pet sitting and quickly fell in love with it. Being able to spend time with animals again has been incredibly rewarding. Since then, I've cared for dogs both large and small, watched multiple pets at once, and administered medications when needed. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I strive to provide attentive, loving care so both pets and owners feel comfortable and at ease. I live a fairly routine lifestyle and enjoy spending lots of quality time with the pets in my care. I typically start my day early, which allows plenty of time for morning potty breaks, feeding, and attention before I head out to train clients for a few hours. I'm usually back home around midday and enjoy spending time with the animals I'm caring for. Depending on their energy level and owner's preferences, this may include walks, playtime, a run, or even a hike. I also work virtually at times, which allows me to be home throughout much of the day. In the evening, I'll follow your pet's normal feeding schedule and spend the rest of the night relaxing at home. Whether your pet enjoys cuddling on the couch, playing, or simply having someone nearby, they'll have plenty of companionship and attention. I'm typically home in the evenings and maintain a consistent routine, helping pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with both your pets and your home. I take that responsibility seriously and strive to provide a safe, reliable, and respectful experience for every family I work with. I carefully follow each pet's routine, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions provided by their owner. I prioritize safety on walks and outings and always make sure pets are secure and comfortable. When staying in a client's home, I treat it with the same care and respect I would my own. I keep the home clean and tidy, lock doors and windows when leaving, and provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind while they're away. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel relaxed, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the entire stay.
About: As a pet sitter, I have a commitment to going above and beyond for the pets I care for. I approach each sitting opportunity with enthusiasm, reliability, and genuine affection, ensuring that both the pets and their owners feel confident and content in my care. I am currently working from home, which allows me to be available throughout the day to provide dedicated care and attention to your pets. Your pets will never feel lonely, and you'll have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands! I will care for clients pets in my home as if they are my own. My apartment is safe, clean, and pet friendly! We have lots of space to walk and there’s a dog park in my complex.
About: My private dog sitting includes up to two hours of daily, individualized behavioral training, integrated naturally into your dog’s routine. Unlike isolated training sessions in unfamiliar environments, where dogs are often overstimulated or stressed, this approach works within everyday life. As dogs settle into a calm, predictable routine, learning becomes natural, sustainable, and far more effective. This integrated format allows for deeper behavioral change and, in practice, delivers significantly more value than traditional hourly training sessions. Daily training focuses on core foundations such as: - emotional regulation and stress stabilization - attention and engagement - calm obedience and responsiveness - impulse control - confidence in everyday situations All of this is included in the cost of boarding, no separate training fees, sessions, or add-ons. All work is adapted to your dog’s age, temperament, energy level, and emotional state. I’m a professional dog trainer and canine behavior specialist with over 16 years of experience working with animals. I provide private, one-on-one care only, one dog at a time, allowing me to fully focus on your dog’s behavior, routine, and well-being. My approach is rooted in canine psychology and body language. I pay close attention to early stress signals and adjust the environment and interactions before tension builds. This makes my care especially suitable for anxious, sensitive, senior, or behaviorally complex dogs. I’m experienced in administering medications and injections and following detailed care instructions for dogs requiring medical support. Dogs in my care stay in a calm, low-stimulation, secure environment. Walks are always done on leash or harness, routines are predictable, and no force-based methods or crates are used. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates and clear communication throughout your dog’s stay. I work from home and structure my schedule around the animals in my care. This allows me to be consistently present, attentive, and responsive throughout the day, rather than fitting pet care around other commitments. Daily routines are adapted to each pet’s needs, from extended walks and outdoor time (up to several hours a day for high-energy dogs), to structured play, training, rest, or calm companionship for pets who prefer a quieter pace. I’m available for pets who require close supervision, emotional support, or simply steady human presence. Whether a pet needs active engagement or a calm, reassuring environment, my day is organized to provide exactly that. Because I spend most of my time at home, pets are never left unattended and are continuously observed, supported, and cared for in a predictable, low-stress setting. I live in a quiet, spacious 2-bedroom apartment near the ocean in La Jolla, designed to provide a calm, low-stimulation environment for pets. The building has an elevator, which makes it especially suitable for senior dogs, dogs with mobility limitations. I only accept one pet at a time, ensuring full attention, close supervision, and a predictable routine. There are no other animals in the home, so your pet remains the sole focus of care and never has to compete for space or attention. Daily routines are kept as close as possible to what your pet is used to, including feeding schedules, walks, rest periods, and preferred levels of interaction. Whether a pet needs gentle activity, structured outdoor time, or simply calm companionship, the environment is adapted accordingly. ““We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our dog Lola! From the moment we dropped her off, it was clear she was in loving, capable hands with Erion and Iris. Lola came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well-cared for. We received updates and photos throughout, which gave us total peace of mind. We’ll absolutely be booking again and highly recommend!””

“Abegail was very kind and caring with Koko, she even was very responsive and sent a lot of photos for his short stay with her! Abegail even responded to our last minute request as we had issues with another sitter and was able to book her the day of our reservation! Wonderful job done and would strongly recommend her again!”

“Emily & Steven were absolutely fantastic. We had a 4 month old puppy which is a lot of responsibility for anyone to handle. They happily took her in, cared for her and sent constant updates and pictures of their days together. I am very grateful we were able to find a family that showed how much they cared for animals. Thank you!!!”

“Zach and his wife were so kind and communicative with us while they kept our Sisi for almost a week. This was the first time I have ever left her and I could instantly tell she was in good hands. They handled her quirks and diva behavior very well!”

“Ben and Patricia were amazing dog sitters! Easy to communicate with, sent lots of great photos of our dog, and all around very nice people. We look forward to having them watch our dog again!”
“Mitch was very enthusiastic and attentive with my 1.5yo puppy! He sent pictures and communicated potential concerns, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away.”

“Jacquelyn was absolutely amazing with my doggie, Bao when he boarded with her for a long weekend! I got updates, pictures, and she even went above and beyond to help my guy when he was having some itchies on his paws. 10/10 would recommend her care ❤️”

“Alegra was amazing with our dog. Excellent communication from the meet and greet up to the end of our Dog's stay. She updated us daily with photos which was really nice. Would love to have her take care of our dog again in the future. Thank you!”

“Rachelle took amazing care of Milo. She was excellent with communication—always keeping me updated on how he was doing, which I really appreciated. It was clear Milo enjoyed his stay with her; he came home happy and completely worn out (in the best way!). I felt very comfortable leaving him in her care and would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Not enough kind words can be said about Nanako and Dustin. Not only did they take great care of our dog but they went above and beyond making us feel like he wasn’t only ok but truly loved in our absence. The frequent updates they sent along with pictures of the adventures they went on with our dog helped put my wife’s anxiety at ease. They followed our care instructions to a T and treated our husky as their own. 5 stars with another 5 on top, highly recommend.”

“thank you, Anna for your care of Sadie! We got great uodates with photos, all instructions were followed, and everything went very smooth! Sadie seems excited to go back and enjoy the big yard again :)”

“HIGHLY recommend Kayla, this was my first time using rover and Kayla made me feel so comfortable. I was out of town and needed a last minute babysitter. I met Kayla the morning of to introduce my dogs to her. She took great care of them and sent me lots of videos + pictures throughout their stay with her. If I am ever back in San Diego, I will definitely rebook with Kayla! She is great! THANK YOU SO MUCH. Also, my dogs came back to me so exhausted! They had so much fun 🤩”

“Kelley and Zacharey always take the best care of our doodle. They go to the park every day, send lots of photos/videos, and have the sweetest doodles, Leo and Sophie. Thank you for taking care of Buca like one of your own!!”

“Julia was amazing. We came down to San Diego for 4th of July weekend, we were a little worried about our dog and the fireworks. Julia provided consistent photos/updates and was very communicative. We had peace of mind the whole weekend. We will definitely use Julia again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a great sitter! 10/10”

“Ana and her partner were so incredible with our dog. This was our first time leaving him with a dog sitter and we were nervous about how he would do with someone new but he warmed up to them so quickly! They gave him lots of pets, cuddles, and attention and even had recommendations for how to make him more comfortable in a new home. We are so grateful for them both and all the pics they sent while we were out of town. He also had just gone through surgery and they did a great job following his aftercare instructions and giving him medication. Great experience, highly recommend!!”

About: Hi! My name is Tiffany and I am an avid dog lover. I currently work remotely and have plenty of time to care for your dog! I grew up with dogs and love them but am just not quite ready for my own yet. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages including puppies and senior dogs. I also have experience with highly reactive dogs as I used to live with one for a couple years. I understand that not all dogs are the same and take time to understand different dog personalities and temperaments. I am a very organized and punctual person and love sending updates to paw parents! I am new to Rover but I have been on Wag for years. I work remotely so I can be at home all day to watch your dog. I love going on walks around the neighborhood and staying active. I live in a small apartment complex that is dog friendly! I currently do not have any pets so all my attention can be focused on your dog. I make sure fresh water is always available and dogs are allowed on my couch if they would like.
