About: Hi! I'm new to Rover, but I'm not new to caring for animals. I've always had a natural connection with pets, and they seem to gravitate toward me wherever I go. I truly believe animals are family, and I care for every pet as if they were my own. I'm highly communicative, reliable, and genuinely empathetic. I pay close attention to each pet's unique personality and needs, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, or just having a calm companion, I'll make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member. That's why I'll keep you updated with plenty of photos, videos, and messages throughout each visit, so you always know how your pet is doing and can enjoy those special moments even while you're apart. If you're a busy family looking for a dependable dog walker or pet sitter who will treat your pet with patience, kindness, and lots of love, I'd be honored to help. I can't wait to meet you and your best friend! I am a mom of two girls. I have a flexible schedule and I’m willing to do whatever’s necessary to make sure your pet is taken care of. I’m a hair stylist on weekends and I love when people bring their dogs to their appointments. Rover is great way for me to play with animals, get some exercise, and make some extra income. Just message me 😊 I make sure the dog goes outside to use the bathroom . Make sure the food and water bowl is always fresh and full. Engage and play with your pet. Chill, lay down, and watch tv together. I absolutely love playing tug of war with dogs so make sure to pack that toy in their overnight bag LOL. If I were to come to your house I would let you know exactly when I enter and when I leave and give you updates on your pet .
About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have had three dogs of my own, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. Over the years, I’ve also babysat and pet sat for family, friends, and neighbors, giving me experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve cared for breeds including Goldendoodles, Maltese, Poodles, labradors, Chihuahuas, French Bulldogs, and many more. One thing that sets me apart is my responsibility and dedication. I recently served as the ASB President at my high school, where I learned the importance of being dependable, organized, and someone others can count on. This fall, I’ll be attending California Lutheran University to pursue both my bachelor’s and then master’s degrees. I truly love animals and understand that every pet deserves patience, kindness, and individual attention. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping a familiar routine while you’re away, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I would be honored to earn your trust and treat your pet like they’re one of my own. 🐾 I’m currently on summer break and in the process of preparing for my first semester at California Lutheran University, so I have a very flexible schedule. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pet. Whether your dog needs a walk, playtime, overnight care, or simply someone to keep them company, I’m happy to work around your schedule and provide reliable, attentive care. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions so they feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I’ll make sure they stay on their normal feeding, walking, and potty schedule, provide plenty of love and attention, and always keep a close eye on them. I’m respectful of both your home and your pet, and I’ll communicate with you throughout the visit with updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands.
“Ben and Luke were great with Penny and she had such a great time with them! She had a blast playing with their 4 other fur babies. We'll definitely be a returning client. Thank you Ben and Luke for taking such great care of our baby.”

“Madison & Moses are awesome! So easy to communicate with and both have a great, calm energy that was perfect for helping my shy, anxious, rescue pittie feel right at home. It’s clear they’re both well-versed in dog behavior and I appreciate that they met my dog right where she was at. They had no issues giving her the time, space and patience needed to open up in her own time - it made all the difference. Thankful to have found them!”

About: I've had the pleasure of caring for all kinds of animals big and small. Seizure disorder, elderly, puppies, high-energy dogs are all welcome! I am able to administer medicine and follow any particular rules you'd like. Between my husband and I we both are home Monday thru Sunday. Always home with our pups and yours! No kids or cats live here. Just a husband and wife and 2 amazingly friendly dogs. We have a large property with a fenced yard all around. We plan to use an AirTag for increased safety for all our doggy guests.

“I can tell our pup Mochi had a great time with Christina and her fiance, They took him out on a few walks, and gave him lots of attention! Great communication and sent us lots of pictures!”

About: I have years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior pets needing extra TLC. I'm reliable, attentive, and treat every pet like family. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pup the attention and care they deserve throughout the day. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I’m home and available to meet their needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I maintain a clean, calm environment and stick to their routine. I’m always attentive, secure with gates and leashes, and keep you updated with regular check-ins.

My professional experience includes working with everything from delicate songbirds to massive rhinos, giving me unique insights into animal behavior, health, and wellness that I bring to every pet care situation. **Lifelong Animal Lover** Animals have been my passion since childhood. Throughout my life, I've been the proud caretaker of a diverse family of pets including dogs, cats, birds, lizards, and horses. This hands-on experience with domestic animals, combined with my professional work with exotic species like monkeys, giraffes, and rhinos has taught me to read animal body language, recognize stress signals, and adapt my approach to each pet's individual personality and needs. **Your Pet's Home Away From Home** My setup is perfect for your furry family members. I have a securely fenced yard where dogs can safely play and exercise, along with two friendly, well-socialized dogs who love making new friends (with proper introductions, of course). Your pet will have lots of company- my husband works from home full-time, and I work part-time, ensuring there's almost always someone here to provide attention, care, and companionship. **Why Choose Me?** - Professional animal care background with exotic and domestic species - Experienced in reading animal behavior and providing individualized care - Safe, secure environment with proper facilities - Nearly constant supervision and companionship - Genuine love and respect for all animals I understand that leaving your beloved pet with someone new can be nerve-wracking. I work part time as a zookeeper at San Diego Zoo, I have all day Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays available as well as afternoons/evenings the rest of the week after 3pm. I have two friendly small dogs and live in a moderate sized house with a large fenced backyard. I can come to your house as well for check ins and walks.

About: Growing up I have always had dogs on the property and consider them part of the family. I believe a well trained dog is loved by its owner. I am an animal lover who want to help those who have a hard time with placement. I enjoy spending time with other people's pets because I am unable to have one for myself at this time. I am currently retired so I have time to spend with them daily. I can take them to parks, beach, lakes, etc. Depends on breed and how active they are. I have aquariums, reptiles and my extended family has dogs that I am frequently around. I have had exotic, elderly, injured and sick pets in my care. I foster for the Humane Society periodically and adjust my home according to the pets needs.

About: I am a pediatric physical therapist by day and aspiring stay at home dog mom all the time. I have two little furry monsters of my own, a rescue tripod and a pointer mix. I take them all over hiking, to the beach, to the park, and they would love the company of your little furry friends too! My dogs get free range of my house and yard when I’m home and a large open living area when I’m gone. I’ve had dogs all my life and love all of them, big or small. I’ve taught my dogs some tricks and continually work on reward based training for better behavior and obedience if you are interested in that during my time with your pup! Someone is usually home or in and out every day. We wake up early for breakfast and to play and go on walks. On weekends when we are home all day we like to go on adventures and the dogs have free reign of the yard all day, but we can also keep yours more contained if they are a flight risk! I have a fenced yard to play outside and we will go on walks in the neighborhood. My dogs like to meet new friends. At my house they are allowed on the furniture
“Shelby and Dalton are the best! They are so responsive and accommodating!! Literally lifesavers, I work really long hours and my husband, who usually watches our dog during the day, had to travel for work last minute. Shelby and Dalton agreed to watch my pup on one of my long days and were so understanding and flexible when I had to pick her up later in the evening - truly I don’t know what I would’ve done without them! They treated her as if she were their own and she LOVED playing with their sweet pup and cuddling with one of the cats, and I got lots of updates and pictures throughout the day. I couldn’t recommend them enough, I will definitely be taking her back to hangout and play with her new best friends!”

About: I have 35+ years of animal care experience. My animal care journey started with taking care of rabbits, chickens, horses, geese and my own pet fish, birds, gerbils, cats and dogs. I have a flexible schedule allowing for me to care for your pet day or night! I look forward to hearing from you and scheduling our first meet and greet, free of charge! I have two dogs in my home. They have 24/7 access to the fenced in yard for potty breaks and play time. I take boarders only after a meet and greet with my personal dogs to ensure a good fit for all!
“Mark, Christina, and Cody! Thank you for taking such good care of our babies. They love you so much. You're just beautiful people. I left them with you with absolutely no worries. Thank you for the daily updates and the cutest pictures! I can't say enough wonderful things about y'all. Our babies were in loving, caring hands always. I highly recommend you. And I know Sage and Noir would love to see you again!”

About: I am in the San Diego area currently working a remote job, looking to spend some quality time with dogs who need all the TLC they deserve but can’t get while their owners are away. I’m available for pet sitting, walking, and drop-ins! I’ve always grown up with a family dog in the house who I absolutely adored and have an undeniable love for all animals. I’d be available for last-minute help and cancellations are fine with me as well, so long as I’m given a heads up in an appropriate time in advance. I am a trustworthy, honest, and very reliable person. If you pick me to do the job, your pet would be in great hands and I would never let you down!
“Bailey had a great time at Doggie Day Care last week. He played well with Jennifer's dog Harper and was treated to several walks a day, which he loves! We are booking again next week! Thank you Jennifer for the great care you provided for Bailey!”

“She's great. My dog has never been with anyone but family and she is able to comfort him. With my schedule changing, it is wonderful having her as a backup for work. Like I said, she's great.”

“Omg Bailey is a life savior and took care care of my fur babies which are big dogs. A 3 year old mastiff and a 7 year old terrier diva which is a lot to handle on a daily basis but Bailey came through and took my very last minute needed booking for a dog sitter. She was so very accommodating with needing to plan out a day in advance for a sitter. She has wonderful children which thankfully tired out my BOTH of the fur babies. Thank you so much again Bailey for the kindness and mindfulness of taking care of my fur babies. Anyone , If you need a awesome sitter, go book Bailey. Right NOW : )”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Winter Gardens commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 3,305 sitters in Winter Gardens, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
