“Boba had a great time! He spent time with a few old friends. Towards the end of his stay, Tiffany alerted us that he had issues with healing wound on his paw. (He injured himself the night before our trip.) She was great with caring for and monitoring him. She sent us updates and he was better by the time we picked him up. Tiffany gave him a bath since he had an extended stay which is so helpful. It’s one less thing for us to do when getting things in order at home after a trip.”

“Sana and her family were great with our little brat. She kept a good amount of daily updates and was very quick to communicate with any questions we had. Bentley came home happy and content. Thank you family for caring for our old baby.”

“I almost don’t want to say how amazing JT was because I want to keep him a secret! He was so great with our 2 dogs (1 of which is exceptionally timid) can’t say enough good things! It’s never easy to leave the fur babies but Jt made it much less difficult wort daily photos and check ins.”

“Priscila was excellent at ensuring my Lana had a great experience. From her outdoor activities, beach day, and play time it all contributed to Lana having a Great time. Priscila was awesome at providing pictures and video to update how my dog was doing. Thank you 👍”

About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life, growing up with dogs and now owning cats as well. Because of this, I have a deep understanding of both canine and feline personalities. I am highly experienced in keeping dogs happy and active through regular walks, engaging playtime, and giving them plenty of love and attention. Because I work from home full-time, my schedule is incredibly flexible, making it very easy to fit pet care into my daily routine. I take regular breaks throughout the day to stretch and go on walks, which is the perfect opportunity to give your dog some exercise and fresh air. When caring for pets in my home, safety and peace of mind are my top priorities. My cats have their own dedicated room and separate space, which allows guest pets to have plenty of room to relax in their own environment without any forced contact. I ensure they have a secure, stress-free setup where they can follow their usual routine, explore safely, and feel completely comfortable at their own pace.
“Evan was a great find for us! We hate leaving our Golden behind but felt much better knowing he was joining Evan and his family. Our dog loves kids, pets, and lots of play. It seems like he got plenty off this being under Evans care. We set expectations with Evan around food and he was super accommodating. Evan provided us pictures and updates as he wrapped up each day which was great for us while traveling. Thanks for the care!”

“Stephen and his family were fantastic! They took wonderful care of Duke while we were out of town. He provided regular photos and updates. It was obvious that Duke had a great time there and playing with their dog Bear was just icing on the cake. We had complete peace of mind while away.”

“Pepper had so much fun. This sitter updated me constantly and sent me pictures throughout the days. My dog had so much fun and felt so comfortable with this sitter. I didn’t have to worry about the safety or wellbeing of my pepper with Gabi. Gabi was super quick to respond to me and asked permission before taking my pepper anywhere. I will absolutely use Gabi again and recommend her to anyone that’s using Rover! This was my first time using rover and this experience really set the tone for the app! Amazing dog sitter!!”

“Chris really did me a solid taking Marshall in for the weekend. He was always in communication, sent a few pictures during each day, and managed to keep on top of my boy’s endless energy. When I picked him up, my dog was trying to get me to stay there, which I take as a great sign for how much he enjoyed his stay with Chris.”

“Kris and Dan are absolutely amazing! They truly love your pets and treat them as family. I felt so relieved to know my dogs were being spoiled while we were gone! We have already booked to use Kris again!”

“This is our second time booking with Darcey. She truly wants to take the time to understand your dog’s quirks, and was so gentle and patient with ours. I loved getting her photo updates—it was comforting to see our dog so happy in the photos she sent. She was also very professional, always punctual and quick to answer any questions I had. If you need a caring, reliable dog sitter, Darcey is fantastic.”

“Pico was so well taken care of, and his stay was smooth from beginning to end. I was sent regular updates with pictures and video, so I appreciate the helpful and thoughtful communication. We will definitely be using their services again for Pico!”

“Brandy was absolutely fantastic in caring for our senior dog. She showed such genuine concern and attentiveness to his needs, making sure he felt comfortable and at ease in her home. Koda was exceptionally well looked after, and we couldn't be more grateful. We highly recommend Brandy to anyone in need of a caring and attentive pet sitter!”

“Erin is a very kind, caring, and professional pet sitter. I have a young puppy, and she took amazing care of Luna during her overnight stay. Not only is Erin knowledgeable about pet care, but she also went above and beyond to make sure Luna felt safe, comfortable, and loved while we were away. Since Luna is still a puppy and can be nervous in new environments, Erin took extra time to help her adjust. She even created a cozy sleeping space and set up a crate for her, which made a huge difference. Erin’s home is very pet-friendly, clean, safe, and well-organized, with everything needed to care for animals properly. I felt completely at ease knowing Luna was in such good hands. Honestly, Erin is one of the best pet sitters we’ve had so far, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pets. ☺️🫶🏼🐾”

“Cherie took the best care of our dog during her 8 day stay. Cherie is very attentive and in tune to everything our dog needed. She provided updates throughout the week which we greatly appreciated. We could tell our dog was very comfortable and happy the entire time. We are so happy to have found Cherie. This is the first time we have had to use a dog sitter and the experience couldn’t have been better. We will definitely be using Cherie again in our future!”

“We have had Jewels twice now as drop-in sitter for our Bella (cat) and both times Jewels has cared for Bella perfectly. The food, water and litter is handled with care and excellent hygiene. Bella is so picky with sitters and has popped out to interact with Jewels a few times. We see that as a super positive sign that Jewels has a kind energy. Cats don't hide their feelings so if Bella likes Jewels, she is a winner in our book. Highly recommend.”

“Vanessa was wonderful! She was very quick with responses, took lots of pictures, and was great with my cat. I can’t recommend her enough and she will definitely be my go-to whenever I’m out of town! Thank you for taking such good care of my little guy Vanessa! <3”

About: I’m a biologist and animal lover with over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I had my first dog at age 7, adopted a reactive dog in my twenties, and currently share my life with an 8-year-old dog—so I truly understand how different every animal can be. For the past 3 years, I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family, caring for senior dogs, reactive dogs, and everything in between. Because I work remotely and do this full-time, I’m home most of the day and able to offer consistent attention without leaving your pet alone for long periods of time. I adjust my energy to match each dog—happy to be playful with energetic pups, or slow and gentle with seniors and sensitive dogs. When house sitting, I keep routines as consistent as possible, so pets feel safe and secure. I also have experience caring for cats and small animals. I enjoy using enrichment toys and puzzles with my dog as I have seen how helpful mental enrichment can be for keeping dogs calm and happy, so I’m comfortable using these tools. With my background in biology, I pay close attention to body language and stress signals and always approach pets with patience, care, and respect. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. If you give me the opportunity, I’ll do my best to make sure your pup feels safe, understood, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Jill R took such good care of my 2 cats (one elderly). She was in daily communication and sent me pictures of my babies ❤️ She gave me such peace of mind since I hadn’t left the cats since 2020 I highly recommend her!!”

“Lindsay is great! She was very communicative and asked clarifying questions when needed, sent over lots of pictures and our cats were comfortable with her right away. Recommend!”

About: Before I joined the Air Force, I used to volunteer at a doggy day care and I loved all of the different personalities I encountered. I am very flexible with the many personalities of animals and all energy levels. I will accommodate any dog that is scared of other dogs, super shy, or any dogs with special needs. One interested story I have from my doggy daycare days was a beautiful doberman I met named Cicero and he was large and in charge but only appearance wise. When it was time to go outside for walks or potty he needed to be the only dog going out. He was scared of other dogs as big as he was, even a chihuahua was too scary because he would shake behind my legs. I miss him very much and I hope he found some courage in himself. I am currently a student at MiraCosta College pursing an A.S in Biomanufacturing and I have educational goals of transferring into UCLA or UCSD for bioengineering or nanoengineering as my second choice. I do a lot of studying and I love getting to have balance through spending time with dogs or cats. It's always a good thing to be in good company. I look forward to meeting your playful, hyper or mellow dogs! My landlord has two beautiful Vislas that are super sweet and love hiking. They love getting pets and treats and my mother also has a German Shepherd named Summer and she loves going on walks and barking at small animals like ducks and squirrels. She doesn't like other dogs, so I know where exactly to walk her and when encountering other dogs I know how to maneuver her so she doesn't get agitated.

My goal is to build trust from the start so you can feel confident and worry free with your pets care. I am currently a full time student, with a consistent schedule week to week. Outside of my classes, which are only held four days a week (Mon- Thu) in the mornings, I have open availability and flexible timing. “This was my first time using rover, I was nervous and have a lot of anxiety about leaving my cats when I booked my cruise. I could not be happier with the experience with Shelby. She was so kind, compassionate and communicative. I looked forward to her updates/ photos on vacation and gave me so much piece of mind. I truley know my kitties were in the most loving hands and I would recommend her 100% to anyone who wants top notch animal care. Thank you Shelby ❤️”

About: My experience with cats is extensive to say the least. I have been a proud cat parent since the age of 5, which is nearly 20 years. I've kept cats in my home with me until recently and have acquired much knowledge, love, and appreciation for all cats I've encountered! My childhood cat did require extra care including oral medications and attentive awareness for seizures, so I feel comfortable with kitties in similar situations and would love to offer my comfort and expertise.

“Kayla took wonderful care of our golden retriever, Willow, for the day. Willow immediately became part of the family, enjoying playtime with Kayla’s golden retriever and her kids. When we picked her up, she looked like she had spent the day at a spa—happy, relaxed, and beautifully cared for. It was obvious she felt completely at home and honestly seemed like she didn’t want to leave! We had total peace of mind knowing she was in such loving hands. Kayla and her family are amazing Rover hosts, and we highly recommend them.”

“Brandy was extremely nice and very accommodating to us when our regular sitter was not available today! We felt very comfortable knowing Jasper was being walked and taken care of. She provided updates and pics too. Her dog is super friendly and is a great buddy for the visit, too!”

“Aidni watched my dog after I created last minute plans. She was super accommodating and welcomed my dog into her home. My dog has an existing back/ neurological injury and normally after a dog sitter, his symptoms come back, but with Aidni, he returned home the same way he arrived. I will gladly book her again in the future and highly recommend her services!”

“Jill has been amazing with Maddox and my elderly father. Jill has been sensitive to Maddox’s during walks by varying to a slower or faster pace and shortness the walks dependent on his needs. She has also come rain or shine to take care of Maddox and is always on time. I do not know what we would do with out Jill’s care. I highly recommend her.”

“This was our first time having Veronica walk our three dogs separately. She followed our clear instructions for each dog and was able to put a clear cone back on one of your dogs. She responded promptly to our messages and did a great job taking pictures and providing updates for each dog. We recommend using Veronica for your dog-walking needs.”

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life — I’ve had cats and dogs since I was five and spent my summers helping on a family friend’s farm. To say, I am very well versed in the animal world, as I have cared for tortoises, fish, hamsters and all kinds of other babies than just claws and paws! Please to not be afraid to ask! & understand that every animal is different, with their own quirks and needs. I treat each one like my own, with patience, love, and attention. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or calm company, I make sure your pets feel safe and happy while you’re away. Also, just for transparency, I do typically work part-time as a waitress on the weekends. However this is a very flexible schedule and would be more than happy and change it as needed to care for your babies! I have Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays off each week, and I’m looking to fill that time doing something truly rewarding and fun — spending it with animals! Caring for pets isn’t just something I enjoy; it’s something that makes my days brighter. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or quiet company, I love giving animals the care and happiness they deserve. Your pet will always be safe, trusted, and well cared for in my home. I have one friendly outdoor cat who keeps himself busy, and I’m mindful about making sure visiting pets feel comfortable and secure. I also have a large crate that can fit medium to small dogs if needed, along with clean food and water bowls ready to go.
“I originally hired Claudia as a dog sitter, and after such a great experience, I now regularly book her for dog walking and check-in visits. She has been incredibly reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about my dog’s well-being. My pup is always happy and relaxed after Claudia’s visits, and I appreciate the updates and photos she sends. I am glad that I found Claudia and highly recommend!”

About: I absolutely love spending time with dogs and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I’ve taken care of a few dogs for friends and family, and it’s something I’ve really enjoyed—it’s so rewarding to see them relax and have fun. Whether it’s going on walks, playing, or just giving them some extra love and attention, I’ll treat your dog like my own. My goal is to make sure you feel confident that your pup is in good hands and well taken care of while you’re gone. Pet care fits really well into my routine! I’m a teacher, so I have a consistent schedule and lots of breaks throughout the year where I’m home and have extra time to spend with your pup. I also don’t work Saturday through Monday, which means I can give your dog plenty of attention over the weekend. When I’m home, I love having a furry friend around to hang out with, and I only step out for short errands, so your dog will never be left alone for long. I have two dogs of my own who are very friendly and love playing with other dogs! They’re still young but well-behaved, fully potty trained, and up to date on all their shots. When caring for your pet in my home, I treat them just like my own- with love, attention, and care. I do my best to make sure they feel comfortable and happy, and I’m always willing to accommodate whatever routines or needs your dog has to help them feel right at home.
About: I am an experienced pet sitter who genuinely loves spending time with animals of all ages and personalities. Over the last few years, I’ve cared for pets for family friends and clients, especially large dogs like Rottweilers and cats. I grew up with two golden doodles and helped train them from puppyhood, which gave me experience with basic training, patience, and building routines for young dogs. I have also had experience caring for senior pets. One of my dogs is now very old, and I regularly help with eye drops, medication, and making sure he stays comfortable and cared for. Because of this, I understand how importance patience, attentiveness, and gentle care are for older animals. Recently, I had taken over pet sitting for my sister in law’s clients while she is busy caring for her newborn twins. This has given me even more hands on experience caring for different pets and maintaining trusted relationships with pet owners. I usually nanny during the summers so I am very responsible, dependable, and used to providing attentive care. This summer I am looking for a change of pace while on break from college. I look forward to providing reliable, attentive care and making sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I am currently only taking a couple of college classes online, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I am fully available most days and can easily adjust my routine to meet your pets needs, whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or overnight care. I am also very active, so I enjoy keeping pets engaged with walks, outdoor time, and plenty of attention throughout the day. When caring for pets in a clients home, I always make sure they stay comfortable in their familiar environment and follow their normal routine as closely as possible. I pay close attention to feeding instructions, safety needs, and any special care requests, while also keeping the home clean, secure, and respectful. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for both your pet and your home, and I always aim to provide dependable, attentive care.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love, not just a job to me. I’m the kind of person who will happily stop to pet every dog on a walk, remember each pet’s little quirks, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and anxious, or older and needing extra patience, I adapt to their personality and routine so they feel as stress-free as possible. I’m reliable, attentive, and big on communication, so you can expect regular updates, photos, and honest check-ins while your pet is in my care. My goal is always to make pets feel like they’re with a trusted friend, not just a sitter. From long walks and playtime to cuddles on the couch and sticking to feeding or medication schedules, I truly put care and love into every visit. I am looking to fill my summer as much as possible while I am back from school, so I have an extremely open availability for all kinds of care needed! I provide care in my client’s home so pets can stay comfortable in the environment they know best and keep their normal routine. I make sure each pet gets plenty of attention, affection, exercise, playtime, and consistent care based on their individual needs and personality. I also prioritize safety by carefully following feeding instructions, medication schedules, walking guidelines, and any house or pet routines provided by the owner. This especially goes for nighttime vigilance to protect your pets from wildlife. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pet, so I always aim to communicate clearly, provide regular updates and photos, and make sure both pets and owners feel comfortable and at ease.

“Priscila was excellent at ensuring my Lana had a great experience. From her outdoor activities, beach day, and play time it all contributed to Lana having a Great time. Priscila was awesome at providing pictures and video to update how my dog was doing. Thank you 👍”

“Amanda and her family were so great with Bogey, and on were super flexible on short notice. She was patient with him as he warmed up, provided updates (including pics and vids) multiple times a day. You can just tell they’re dog people, couldn’t recommend them more!”

“Kurt was great with our dog, we very much appreciate the updates and pictures. Our little guy can get quite nervous around new people but I think he did great. He will be staying with Kurt in the future for sure.”

About: I am a PET LOVER . I treat my furry four legged friends like family members. My house consists of three young children 12 and under who adore pets and are a huge part of the positive environment in my home - lots of love and warmth. During the most part of the day ... the kids are at school. My husband works from home and I'm currently at home not working. I have one five year old Golden Retriever and one fifteen year old Siamese cat who sleeps for the majority of time. I allow my dog to roam downstairs which is plenty of space for first floor. My entire house is 3400 square feet . The dogs are welcome to go in and out as they please . My fenced in backyard space will allow for plenty of sunshine and lizard watching time ( my dogs favorite thing to do). There are dog beds - several around the lower level and my husbands office is downstairs so this is where copper hangs out most of the day . Please feel free to send your pets own bed or comfort items. My furry guy gets walks during the day and also frequent visits to the dog park for ball throwing which he absolutely adores . I can either stick to leashed walks or happy to take your baby along to get a ball throwing work out . I have been around pets my whole life. Whatever it is you need or request--I can handle . Special diet, medication and seniors - I've done it all. I am currently not working and spend a lot of time in the house besides dropping my kids to and from school. They will get plenty of human interaction, rubs , walks and treats ! Our house is bustling with energy while the kids are home. If it's a week day then it will be quiet most of the day while they are at school. Copper and any dog friends visiting get to come and go as they please . We have a fenced in back yard. Copper loves to get sunshine , vitamin D and his favorite acvitivty is patrolling the premises for lizards that may be hiding under patio furniture or the deck box. My husband works from home and has his office downstairs so copper loves to hang out in there and be next to his human friend while he's resting . I have lots of dog beds placed in various spots around the house . I only let copper ( and his dog friends) downstairs which is very spacious. The dogs are allowed to lay on the couch. They will get walks and trips to the dog park for ball throwing if they like that sort of thing (my boy loves playing catch). I am excited to welcome your baby inside my home while you are away.
About: Animals have been part of my life since I was little — I grew up with six dogs and started caring for them on my own around age 10. It was never a chore. I genuinely loved it. Since then I’ve looked after pets for friends, family, and neighbors, and that same feeling has never gone away. I do drop-in visits, walks, and boarding. Your pet is welcome to stay in my home, where they’ll be treated like family — not just watched over, but truly loved. I give a lot of affection and I make sure every animal feels safe, seen, and cared for. I’m trained in pet first aid and CPR, can handle oral and injected medications, and have experience with senior animals and pets with special needs. Whatever your pet needs, I’ll show up for them. I know leaving your pet with someone new can feel hard. I just want you to feel at ease — and I want your animal to feel loved while you’re gone. I’m currently studying psychology online, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet real attention. I’m available for boarding on weekdays and weekends, and I offer drop-in visits and walks in the morning or afternoon — any day of the week. Your pet is welcome to stay in my home, where everything is calm, clean, and safe. I can also come to your home if that’s what’s most comfortable for your pet. Either way, I’m respectful of their routine and give them plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I always clean up after myself and make sure your animal feels at ease the whole time you’re away.
“Linda and Zach were great to Noodle!! They sent me photos, were extremely responsive and my pup was nice and tired from his stay. Would have them watch Noodle again! 😌”

About: I am new to Rover but not new to pet or house sitting in general. I have sat dogs and cats while family and friends have gone on extended vacations. I am fully background checked (teacher by trade). I love to go on walks and am great with consistency/expectations if your dog is in a training program. I am a teacher who is off for the summer with no vacation plans! I can dedicate a lot of time to checking on your cat or taking care of your dog. Dogs will have the run of the downstairs and opportunities for backyard play during the day but will be expected to stay crated/in pen at night. Feedings happen on the schedule you provide and dogs will get at least two walks a day. Doggos will be treated like they belong in my house. If interested in drop ins for cat care, I will play with your cat, provide pets and head scritches, check on food and water, and remove litter box waste. It is important to me that your pets feel safe and that their routine isn’t disrupted too much. So a meet and greet for us to both feel comfortable about your pet’s care is a must!
“Outstanding Rover Provider - Highly recommended! Shannon is so nice and patient with Miso, helping us with all our requests and sending us a lot of pictures. From start to finish, everything was handled professionally and smoothly. Will definitely ask her for help again in the future!”

“Sean & family (including their dog Zorian) were just wonderful dog sitters! This was a repeat booking with him and I certainly plan to use him again in the future. They welcomed my dog into their family and took great care of him!”

“David was great with our large and playful doodle. He was very communicative sending lots of updates on how our pup was doing. You can tell that he loves being around dogs and I would recommend him to anyone!”

“Alex and her family were amazing! They immediately made Winnie feel at ease during our meet in greet and their whole pack made it easy to acclimate. My senior dog has a lot of anxiety and I usually don’t leave her with anyone that doesn’t already know really well. I have received daily pictures and had the peace of mind while traveling for work that she was well taken care of.”
“Courtney was great! She took care of our anxious 6 month old golden doodle for 2 days. She was very communicative throughout her stay, sent photos, and even feed her using fun toys; as well as socialized her with other puppies. Extra bonus she's also a trainer and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!”

“Olivia and Sebastien were so great with Bailey! They watched her for several days and took such good care of her! I could tell Bailey felt really comfortable with them! Would definitely have them watch Bailey again!”
