“Nicholas took fantastic care of Pete! He is very communicative and sends lots of pictures. We appreciate the time he took to play with him while we were out of town.”

About: I used to have a cat and a hamster and currently own a dog. I have personally trained him and he is now living with my family! I currently go to college in the morning so my availability will be the afternoons along with the weekends in the afternoon and night! I can do boarding on the weekends while caring during the afternoon on the week days! I enjoy playing or relaxing with your animal depending on what they like to do! For dogs, there is a pet relief area in my apartment building however if they are not comfortable with that and/or you have a senior dog, i do have fake grass on my patio right outside of my apartment!
About: Hi, I’m Ken 👋 I bring years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all temperaments, from playful pups to anxious and senior dogs who need a little extra patience. I’m a PAWS of Coronado Volunteer Behavior Training Level 1 graduate, and I’ve spent years volunteering in shelter environments where safety, calm handling, and compassion truly matter. I’ve also worked alongside canine police officers in training scenarios, giving me a strong foundation in reading dog behavior, maintaining control, and building trust through calm, consistent energy. Dogs tend to respond quickly to me — and both dogs and kids seem to sense that steady, grounded disposition. Every walk is about more than exercise. It’s about trust, structure, and care. I treat every dog as if they were my own and every client with the respect and reliability I’d expect for my own family. I maintain a structured weekly schedule so I can be dependable and fully present for each pet: • Mondays: Early mornings available (6:00–9:00 AM) Afternoon & evening available (2:30–10:00 PM) • Tuesdays: Available after 3:00 PM • Wednesdays: Available after 10:00 AM • Thursdays: Open availability • Fridays: Available after 4:00 PM • Weekends: Flexible availability I only accept bookings I can fully commit to, ensuring every walk or visit is calm, safe, and unhurried. How I Care for Pets Whether I’m caring for pets in my client’s home or during walks and drop-in visits, my approach is centered on safety, structure, and trust. I take time to understand each dog’s routine, temperament, and any training cues or boundaries already in place. I follow the owner’s instructions closely and keep things consistent, because dogs thrive on routine and calm leadership. I’m trained in reading body language and stress signals, which helps me adjust in real time and keep pets comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I’m respectful, organized, and low-impact. I leave the space as I found it and provide updates so owners feel informed and at ease. During walks, I prioritize safe leash handling, situational awareness, and positive reinforcement. I don’t rush walks — I allow time for exercise, enrichment, and mental stimulation. Above all, I treat every pet as an individual. Some dogs want adventure, others need reassurance. My goal is always the same: a calm, safe, and positive experience for both the pet and their owner.
“She is the best rover we’ve ever had. Extremely communicative, can problem solve, and genuinely seems to enjoy spending time with the animals. Highly recommend!!”

About: Hi there! I’m new to pet sitting on Rover, but I’ve been a lifelong dog lover! I’ve had my own Pomeranian names Simba for 10 years, so I know how special our furry friends are. Right now, I’m looking for a job, so I have lots of free time to give your pup the attention they deserve! I offer dog walking and daytime at-home sitting in Downtown and nearby areas, so your dog will have a buddy all day. I’m excited to meet your pup and keep them safe, happy, and active! Requested information about your pet I just ask to let me know in advance what NOT to do/say with your pet. For example, my Pomeranian gets crazy zoomies if you say ‘who’s there?’, he rushes to my front door, spins and bark and it till he will not get absolutely tired. I would also like to know all important details about your pet friendliness with other animals and humans, their health and of course your preferred Pet Hospital. I’m currently actively looking for a remote job in Tech so I have all the time in the world to spend quality time with you fluffy friend. As I have my own pup waiting for me at home, I am looking for more standard working hours I’m not able to host pets at my home, but I’m more than happy to stay at your place for multiple hours during the day. I’ll follow all your pet’s routines, instructions, and any safety measures you have in place. Just let me know your preferences, and I’ll make sure I follow them closely!

About: I've been caring for and pet sitting animals since was around 13 years old and have experience with pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I've cared for large and small dog breeds, cats, rabbits, and fish, including both young and senior pets with different care needs. In addition to years of personal pet sitting experience, I also have a background working in a veterinary clinic, where I supported pet owners and helped care for animals in a fast-paced environment. This experience strengthened my ability to stay attentive, patient, and calm while ensuring pets feel safe and comfortable. I currently have a cat and a dog of my own, and I've even taught my dog a few tricks, so I understand the importance of consistency, positive interaction, and building trust with animals. What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals and my commitment to treating every pet with the same care and attention I would give my own. I recently moved from Virginia and am currently in a flexible job-search period, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care throughout the week. My schedule is open during mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and I can easily adjust to different routines and pet needs. I'm focused on providing reliable, attentive care that helps pets feel comfortable, safe, and well supported while their owners are away. In my own home, I care for my cat by maintaining a consistent daily routine. I feed her twice a day, in the morning and evening, and make sure she always has fresh water. I clean her litter box daily and brush her regularly since she has longer fur. I also pay close attention to her behavior and overall well-being, making sure she stays comfortable, healthy, and stress-free. I enjoy spending time playing with her and keeping her environment clean and calm, which helps support her routine and happiness. These same habits carry over into the care I provide for other pets— prioritize consistency, cleanliness, and attentiveness, and always make sure pets feel safe and cared for while following their normal routines as closely as possible.
“Darya was AMAZING watching our kitten over the holidays. She calmed any worry we had with her amazing service, quick communication, attention to detail, and all the pictures of our girl :) we will absolutely book her for future visits! Your animal is in great hands with Darya.”

“Sarah was absolutely wonderful with our cat, Dexter! She was very attentive, kept us updated with amazing videos, and made sure Dexter had plenty of playtime and attention. It was clear she genuinely cared about him, and that gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Ramisha took excellent care of my two cats while I was away. Being my first time using Rover, I was a bit anxious but she was very sweet and responsive and my cats warmed up to her very quickly! I would definitely recommend her for any pet needs and will be rebooking her for future needs. :)”

About: Hi I'm Halle! I live in downtown SD with my roommate. We currently have a 20lb dog at home that I help take care of. I have had all kinds of pets growing up and love animals! I am very patient and love taking dogs on long walks. I am very flexible when it comes to scheduling. I prefer to walk dogs in the downtown area since I live right here but will travel farther for a longer house sitting job. I recognize that every dog has different needs and personalities and I try to cater to that. I am open to accommodating whatever preferences you have for your dog.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life — golden retrievers, chow chows, bulldogs, goldendoodles, and everything in between. I've lived with dogs, house sat for friends, and spent over a week caring for a high-energy anxious pup who needed constant attention. I'm attentive, calm, and I give every pet the presence and affection they need to feel safe when their humans are away. I also loooove and care for cats. Multi-pet households welcome! I'm best suited for friendly, manageable dogs, and I keep my bookings small (max 2–3 pets) so every animal gets real attention, not divided attention. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine — I'm flexible with my schedule and genuinely enjoy having animal company throughout the day. I'm available most afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and for house sitting I'm committed to being present and attentive, not just checking in. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I'd want for my own. I follow the pet's existing routine as closely as possible: same feeding times, same rules, same comfort zones... I know that consistency is what makes animals feel safe. I send updates and photos so you always know your pet is doing well. I don't accept aggressive dogs, and I keep my bookings small so every animal gets real, undivided attention. Your home and your pet are in good hands.
About: I've been caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities for over 10 years. I own a small dog myself and understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone responsible and attentive. I focus on creating a calm and safe environment, respecting routines, feeding schedules, and walks. I always observe the dogs' body language and act with patience and care. I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. Caring for pets fits naturally into my daily routine, as I organize my activities to be present and attentive throughout the day. I spend most of my time at home, which allows me to supervise, play with, and attend to the needs of each pet. I adapt to their feeding, walking, and rest schedules so they feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay. I provide a calm, safe, and supervised environment. I always respect each pet's routines and preferences, observe their body language, and act with patience. I keep the areas clean and safe, and I take controlled walks according to the owner's instructions. If I care for the pet in their home, I follow all instructions to maintain their usual space and routine.

He was communicative, professional, and I felt very comfortable leaving her in his care. Will definitely book with him again!”

Alyssa is excellent and we are so thankful for her great care of our three cats. She is a very good communicator, responsive, and clearly loves animals. We are quite sensitive cat owners and left Alyssa a lot of instructions and details. She followed through on them in such a way that really calmed our nerves. We can rest assured our cats and our home are in good hands.

We have had Michelle check on our little kitty several times now and she does a wonderful job. He’s not the most friendly cat but he seems to like her pretty well (which is much better than how he feels about most people 😂). She takes great care of him, sends good pics, and provides detailed updates!

Irina went above and beyond for our kitty’s Bo & Petunia! She would send great updates & gave them lots of love & attention. She was even so kind to take care of other little things around our place & helped us to & from the airport! Highly, highly recommended her & we will definitely be using her services in the future as well!

Haley was the dream drop-in sitter for our two cats, while we were on a 3 week trip. She kept us informed of their moods and how happy they were to see her. She maintained the litter robot working great and took great care of our kitties. We will definitely use her services again. Thank you so much Haley!
Was so happy I was able to book with Destiny ! I had last minute plans and she was able to still schedule a meet in great. She understood my kitties needs and took the time to get him comfortable with her. She was beyond professional, kind, and trusting! Would recommend her to anyone and will be rebooking when needed 😊 Thank you again Destiny !

Tina was so sweet to check in on our cat Vic when I booked fairly last minute. I can always tell Vic is so much more chill and relaxed when I arrive home from a trip after she gets a visit from Tina. She is the best! We are really grateful to have someone we trust with our little cat.

Danielle is an excellent pet sitter and I’m so happy I found her! My cat Smokey is usually shy at first, and even tends to hide from new people, but he felt very comfortable with Danielle right away. She took great care of him during my week out of town. She was communicative and reliable each day. I highly recommend Danielle and will definitely be reaching out to her next time I need a sitter.
