About: Located in Sherman Heights near East Village and Golden Hill, perfect for long walks and fresh air. I recently lost my 8-year-old lab/pitty mix and am hoping to continue engaging with dogs while dealing with the loss. I have also fostered rescue dogs, am experienced with highly energetic dogs, and injured or disabled dogs. I've always loved animals and thought this would be a fantastic way to earn additional money and do something I love. Eager to provide a place of love and attention for dogs temporarily separated from their owners. It's stressful enough to be away from your pet without worrying if a kennel will provide them enough attention and engagement. I can't wait to meet you and your pet! I work from home full time so can give your dog all the love and attention they need. My schedule is pretty flexible and I enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible. I prefer to take dogs out at least twice daily for walks, including one longer scent walk where we let their nose lead the way. I live close to downtown San Diego and can easily walk to East Village or Gaslamp which is are extremely dog friendly areas. I have a small fenced-in yard and can easily crate your dog if necessary. I have experience administering oral medications if necessary and always keep a well stocked pet first aid kit in my home and car. If caring for your pet in your home, I can adapt easily to their routine and will meet your pet at their comfort level.

Krista was absolutely wonderful! She is so kind, welcoming, and attentive. Romeo took to her easily, and I felt comfortable knowing he was in such caring hands. She paid close attention to all of my requests and the little details about Romeo as he is an older dog, followed his schedule, and kept me updated throughout his stay with frequent communication and pictures. I also loved that her dog, Doug, was so sweet, and the two of them became buddies! 🐾🤍 I especially appreciate Krista’s flexibility and willingness to accommodate my last minute boarding needs. Excellent! Helped me understand the personality of the other dogs that would be boarding with . Chau provided lots of photos and she had a wonderful positive attitude. My dog walked up to her place, wagging his tail. Many walks were provided and wonderful indoor and outdoor sunshine space. Dog and human approved.
Gaby truly loves what she does. From our first meeting / meet and greet, I saw how much effort she puts into making pups feel comfortable in her home (and in turn, helping their humans feel safe leaving their dogs in her care!). “Auntie” Gaby made the entire experience seamless, and my pup was safe + well cared for during her stay. I hope to utilize Gaby again in the future.
We had Melissa watch our two dogs over a weekend. She is fantastic, our dogs loved her, she communicated well, sent frequent updates and we just had full trust that our pups were in great hands with her! They came back very calm and relaxed which is always a positive sign for us.
We were headed out of town for just over a week and needed a comfortable place for our boxer, Hank, to stay. Just picked him up this morning and he was one happy, relaxed pup. Hank loved having a buddy and sunning in the backyard. Samantha was great at sending pictures and updates daily as requested and flexible with pick up/drop off times. All in all, Hank had an excellent stay with Samantha and JJ. 5 stars all around!
